Welcome to my GFX thread!

I use both Photoshop CS3 and sometimes GIMP.
I started GFX'ing awhile ago, I've improved quite a bit.

Whoa, that's your first tag? Well you're certainly coming along just fine. xD Way better than when I first started. (I couldn't even figure out how to put an image in the signature! That's how bad I was. xD)

Anyway, this tag is very good for a first try. I can't wait to see more of your work as I know you'll be improving most definitely. I recommend working more on depth and blending your render to the BG and having some sort of color scheme going on. Lighting can also use some work. Try messing with the render by duplicating them a few times and play with the blending mode layers. Usually soft light, color dodge, and overlay works well for me, but it really depends on where you've placed your layers at.

There's also decent tutorials out there so you may wanna check them out. =] But seriously, good job for a first try!

Pretty darn good for starters. How many tutorials did you use and how long did it take?

The render could do with being a bit smaller, there's some "floating head syndrome" going on there unless, of course, that's all there is of the render...

Also, text. You can double-click the text layer to bring up a plethora of options to use and don't forget you can make the text more opaque and even change the blending technique too.

Looks like you've got potential, just keep working on it and never be afraid to ask for help. I'm sure there are lots of people here that would be happy to give you advice should you ever need it, myself included. :monster:

It is definietly nice for a first go. I would suggest to not really get into text yet. Text is the hardest part of a signature. You at least got an eye for colors and making them blend so that is really good.

The sig is basically a background and then the Naruto render put onto it. It would be nice to get some effects on Naruto so he is apart of the sig more. It is a light sig, so depth would be hard to put into it, but actually the flurry dot things add depth to it.

Hmm, a tip would be to, get out a blank canvas, put a render in, a little background, and then mess with the photoshop tools, so you get a feel for it, so when you feel you need something, you can get out the tool that you think will finish it off. ^_^

great job.

I made a new one, I made this one a few days ago. On Naruto again .

I kinda like it, i had a great idea for a text but I could not get it right =/. I'm making a Joker one atm. I will post later.

Simple yet great ^^ And I agree I also think that your text didn't turn out well :/ try the blending options :/

Great start, dear! Really! I'll wait to see more sigs from you.

Oh and brushes are your friend. ;) Try experimenting.

Uh, Yeah I downloaded 2 brush sets...I put them in C: Program Files > Adobe > Adobe Photoshop CS3 > Presets > Brushes (some thing like that) and extracted them. And they are not showing up -__-.

My internets is all slow so I can't really download much. :gasp:

Open Photoshop.
Open any image.
Click the brush tool.
Right click on the image. (A window will appear)
Click the button shaped like a circle.
Click on Preset Manager.
Click on Load.

Your first sig is actually really good considering you have just started making them, to be honest I thought you had done a request for it, add a border though!!! It would look much better with a white border on the top and bottom only! :gasp:

Anyway, great work, keep it up. :neomon:

Here's another one =].

This was ment to be for the SoTW, but I don' think it's good enough. =/ I sorta fooled around with the text =]. I tryed putting a good boarder, but I fail >.<.

Very nice. Certainly fits the theme, alright. :D It's a little empty on the left side, but I see that you're improving so keep it up. xD I do love your text though, as well as the placement. Hope to see more of your work!
