This is an awesome band. For those of you who don't know, Muse are a British band. They're Brit Rock band and currently have 4 albums; Showbiz (also known as Hullabaloo); Origin of Symmetry; Absolution, and Black Holes and Revelations.
They're definitely a band I think everyone should check out. They've released some amazingly good songs, and there's still plenty of good ones from the albums that they haven't released
So does anyone else here listen to them? My favourite album so far is BH&R, although I haven't listened to all of Hullabloo and still haven't listened to OoC at all. My favourite song so far would probably be Hysteria or Knights of Cydonia

I really like Origin of Symmetry, it's a great album which knows how to go on for full on OTT style without falling into absurdity. And it's banked by songs like New Born and Bliss. Absoloution is less good for me but does have one of the band's best songs in Stockholm Syndrome. Black Holes and Revelations is an album of two halves for me, the first half is simply fantastic, reeling off a string of great songs from Take a Bow, Starlight, Supermassive Black Hole, Map of the Problematique etc. If it had carried on like that it might have been one of my favourite albums ever. But the second half just doesn't live up to it, save for City of Delusion and possibly Exo-Politics. Hoodoo is just mediocre and Knights of Cydonia is an attempt to make a really big epic closing track that doesn't quite come off.

Origin of Symmetry remains my favourite - though I should say that Showbiz is not the same as Hullabaloo. Showbiz is their debut album, whereas Hullabaloo is a collection of live tracks and B-sides.

Oh wow! Dont get me going on these guys, I adore them ^^ OoS has to be my favourite album and Bliss is my favourite track, followed by Hysteria.

They are very talented and Im sick of the whole "they copy Radiohead" crap. They sound nothing like them, get over it please. IMO Radiohead suck, that caused some arguements with my ex I can tell you! Huge lover of Matt (singer/guitarist) and Chris (bassist) ^^

I have all their albums, singles and DVDs released so far and a collection of B-Sides I managed to download. I sadly have yet to see them live and hopefully I shall be able to nab a ticket for Wembley in June.

Muse is really good band. BH&R is the first album i heard from them and i have already downloaded some of their older stuff.

I can't say I rate them amazingly high, but they're pretty good as standard bands go these days. I don't really have many of their songs on my playlists, but they're always good for a listen once in a while.

Their bass is... omfg. Orgasmic stuff.

Omg Muse are friggin' awesome ^_^ I haven't heard a single Muse song that i don't like. They rock!

Black Holes & Revelations has a few songs in rotation on my iPod. Pretty enjoyable stuff.

Orgins of Symmtery has to be their best work in my oppinion then after that I'm not too sure I love Showbiz and Absolution both and then theres BH&R I really did like it nice to have alittle change in the music

I jumped the bandwagon when everyone else did after BH&R was released, but I'm glad I did, as they are incredibly talented and original. I've never seen them compared to Radiohead SapphireStar, and I don't think they sound that similar at all, but I would take that as a compliment, as Radiohead is regarded as one of the best rock bands ever. I've since downloaded some of their (Muse) older stuff and the only thing I'm disappointed about is that I didn't hear about them earlier.

I was intrigued with BH&R yet I never bothered to buy it. Is it any use?

I liked Apocalypse now and Origin of Symmetry.

I'm not the biggest fan but I do appreciate some of their stuff.

The only time Muse were really compared to Radiohead was around when Showbiz was released - since then they've certainly sounded nothing like Radiohead and the two bands have gone on very divergent paths (both pretty successful ones too).

I would say at this point you're looking at bands like Queen almost as the closest reference points for Muse's type of music.

As you said youve only just jumped on the band wagon, so no wonder youve not heard them compaired. I cant stand Radiohead and Ive always said they sound nothing like each other. But as CP said, it was with the Showbiz album, which to be fair was their first one, so what if they sounded like them. Im sure many bands with their first albums sound like another band. But now Muse have found themselves.

I´m a big Muse fan my favorite is Starlight and New Born! Just can´t get enough of those two songs!

Im not really a fan, but they were kind of a local band for me. Or at least they were. They started off playing the Cavern which is a tiny underground music venue that I go to every week. I think they still buy some of their guitars from a local guitar shop too.

Im bumping this baby back up as Muse are releasing their Wembley tour on the 17th in the form of a CD and DVD pack. Its called H.A.A.R.P. and heres the trailer:

Sadly I missed the Wembley tour as I couldnt afford it. And I need to see them soon as according to NME, they are meant to be releasing their last album soon. Full interview next week, so Im dreading that :(

Starlight and Invincible are by far my faves :monster:

Muse are epic

invincible live
epic song is epic
i saw them live in NZ and was pretty much the best concert ever
and muse are so much better than radiohead whose only song i like is creep

They're not necessarily another album anyway. They're recording towards the end of this year, but Matt hinted in another interview that they might take the same path as Radiohead and just have them all available as digital downloads rather than releasing them in the conventional sense. So "their last album" doesn't really mean that they'll be splitting any time soon. A lot of bands are following that trend now.

Vue cinemas around the country are playing H. A. A. R. P. this coming Tuesday. Tickets are £10. But I have no one to go with. =[

Also, Plug In Baby should be our national anthem. :monster:

I remember the frst time I played Showbiz, it was right after Id listened to Ok Computer & I was like o_O. It sounded so similar, but still made of win :monster:
