Simple question: What multiplayer games do you folks dabble in? Which servers do you frequent? Do tell.

Personally, I mostly play Minecraft (Feed the Beat Unleashed at the moment) on a private server, but through Steam, I also play Terraria, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, Worms Reloaded, Age of Empires II HD Edition, and Rune Classic. I haven't played enough with Gary's Mod to pop into any servers, though.

... and Rune Classic.

Runescape? I don't play much on the PS3 but I usually get FIFA every year. Will probably wait for the PS4 rather than getting it on the PS3 this year though.

Main games I play MP are;
Civ V, Left 4 Dead 2, Counter Strike: Source, Football Manager 2013, Counter Strike: G.O & Blood Bowl: Chaos Edition. - all on steam

Bloodbowl, Civ + FM13 are good because you can have big MP games and not everyone has to be active at the same time.

Feel free to add me on steam; iSmiff (that's my PSN, too)

(AOE2HD is one I need to get when I have some disposable income, love that game!)

Oh, no. Rune Classic. Viking game made with the same engine as Unreal Tournament.

I haven't played Runescape in years, but eh... doesn't pique my interest anymore.

My username as far as Steam and Xbox Live goes is 'Shenorai'. Same username I've used for the past eleven years.

I'm not much of a multiplayer person, but I used to love playing RTS games - chiefly Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds and Age of Empires II - online, back in the dark days when I was too poor to afford consoles and had to make do with a clunky PC. I was really into battling random people in the Serebii wifi chatroom when Pokemon went online with the fourth generation, too. That, plus the old YGO DS games, which had random online match-ups, were favourites of mine...although there was a lot of ragequitting and cheating going on with those. The top player for the 2007 game, if I recall, was the top ranked because his deck consisted of exactly five cards, said cards being Exodia pieces.

Some of you might laugh at this, but I've actually been putting a decent amount of hours into an iOS/Android MMORPG called Avabel (Google Play/iTunes). I really don't want to spend the money on a monthly subscription for FFXIV:ARR, but that game kind of made me want to get back into an MMORPG. Avabel is free to play in about the truest sense of the term I've seen in a good long while. There are in-app purchases, but they are entirely optional and not the least bit in your face, begging you to buy them. There's not really any story to speak of and most of the action boils down to grinding, but its still pretty fun for what it is the developers are still working on it and releasing massive updates every few months to make the game more robust. Plus there's just the inherent convenience of having it on mobile devices--it's easier to keep up with.

I always play on ch6, if anyone's interested. Name's Lulech3.

Generally, for online, I only play CoD multiplayer wise on my PS3. I do remember A few Borderlands 2 sessions, but not as many as I would've liked tbh.

Steam wise, I play L4D/L4D2. The guys here have a server to play The Hidden on, so that's always fun.

Local multiplayer wise, I game with my brother on the likes of sports games(NHL/FIFA) and sometimes fighters(SCV)... I kinda trounce him in both. ^.^'
