All about the idea of making these movies in another decade. Though I'm pretty sure John Wayne was around at the same time as Superman. That one didn't make sense.

I only thought to post this here because of that trainspotting one above.

Trainspotting was about heroin use and the rise of it and the ecstasy scene in the 90s in scotland. It wouldnt fit in any other time period. Certainly not gunna work with non scottish
actors either

Never seen the movie tbh.

But still, not saying that the people they chose are right for the characters, I still like the vintage look of these.

I hated the hangover with a passion but I love Jerry Lewis, he's so fucking funny and i can see him playing that fucking annoying wanker much better than the original guy in the real hangover.

The other two actors I am not so sure about

Most of the examples in that thread are shite. Mick jagger as james bond? Spok as John Mclane? They just pulled actors out theyre arse.

Steve McQueen was brilliant though.

Yeah, honestly the only thing that appealed to me about these was simply the style of them all. Some of the actors they picked were just....horrible.

Though I am with Toni on Jerry Lewis taking over Zack Galafanakis' role. But not Muhammad Ali. He's not crazy enough.

Ali could easily play apollo creed in the rocky films. The character was based around him anyway. Im not sure people would take to his beat down from ivan drago tho.

I think any movie would be improved if Peter Sellers were in it.
The same goes for Alec Guinness.
