What's everyone's opinions on this?
I seriously hate Malboro, it's so annoying when he uses Bad Breath. I really can't think of an enemy more annoying then it!

I hate the tonberries for that damn Chef's Knife :thehell: It always forces me to run when I see them. It always deals some insane amount of damage. And they always have a lot of HP. They should be nerfed, tbh :sad3:

Definitely have to agree with the Malboro. Getting inflicted with Bad Breath is the worst thing that could happen. I can't help, but grin when I get the satisfaction of beating it every single time!

Me too! I hate the Bad Breath attack does so many things that make your characters go super abnormal. So annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnoying.

I agree with the Malboro post, but currently I hate the Green Dragon from the first FF (Origins version). I hate it when they come in fours, and especially when they use Toxin!

I have to agree with you there. No matter what FF you play in the damn Bad Breath will completely ruin your day in a matter of seconds. And even if you are able to dodge some of the bad effects, what you aren't able to dodge will still make it hard to either win the fight or run away.

I also dont like any monster who spams attacks constantly. There aren't that many FF's where monster do it, the only one I really can think of is FFX-2. There were a few boss battles that really pissed me off because I could barely get a hit in without having to fully heal the entire party. :rage:

In some of the FFs the malboros don't bother me, but in XII they're just awful--having to cast more than one type of healing spell to get rid of the status effects is so annoying :grumpy: I also can't stand the ToadLady in IV--somehow it always ends up that all six of her toads have their turns in a row, so you sit there forever waiting for six Toad spells to randomly hit your party and wondering what the heck you're going to end up with when they're done--they never just hit everyone evenly, sometimes they'll even cast all of them on one character, which ultimately makes the character normal and renders all that annoying wait time wasted. :banghead:

Diatryma, in Crisis Core. Perhaps one of the most ridiculously broken enemies in any Final Fantasy game ever. They come in twos or threes, they hit VERY hard, AND they inflict paralysis. That is a death sentence for Zack.

I don't actually mind Malboros that much. o_O Generally by the time I end up fighting them I've got enough spells/junctions/items to easily remove their effects.

My most hated enemy is simply due to my own error many years ago. Final Fantasy IX's Grand Dragon. Climbed out into that little forest, got into a battle with one. I figured "Meh I'm not too far in the game, how bad can it b-*SPLAT*"

GAME OVER.

Marlboro's are annoying indeed, but at least you know what's coming as soon as you encounter one. Plus the satisfaction is great when you manage to survive bad breath and can beat it to pulp :D

I really hate enemies who drain mana/MP. Ethers and other MP potions are often harder to find or more expensive to buy than HP potions and it renders my mages useless in battle. I think there was some ghost creature in FFXII that drain mana, I always targetted them first in battle.

For me it was the Bombs. Suicidal little bastards would blow themselves up just as I would be about to gather EXP and loot from a kill.

Malboros. Even at level 99 I still run away from them. And in VIII they are just brutal D:.

Tonberrys especially in games where their chef's knife would instantly kill you.

And cactuar. I actually find them very amusing, however their 1000 or 10,000 needle attack can often be a real pain.

I also found Ultros to be annoying. I think it's because I lost to him several times after the Opera house theme <.<. Yes I know, a disgrace.

Just yesterday I was playing FFII and I got to say the Imps you find in Mysidia Tower. They kept casting Muddle, which confuses everyone but Firion. The confused characters then usually just kill each other as I let Firion finish off the Imps one by one (they usually come in fours, and one occasion there were six of them). One thing to be noted, I bring my dead characters back with Life when there is only one Imp left so they can still get the experience.

However, sometimes my confused characters DO kill Firion, and since the Imps keep spamming Muddle, I waste no more time and just soft reset the game every time Firion dies. It sucks.

Tonberrys are the obvious choice. However, I'm going to go with the trap doors in FFIV. They gave a TON of experience, but they always killed at least one party member. It was beyond annoying.

Malboros only really bother me on FFVIII as the confuse that goes along with Bad Breath can make you waste so many valuable items. I remember when that did happen to me on one occasion so I reset the game, only to then realise it had been a good few hours since I'd last saved.

Yans or Yams, whatever they were called, from FFIX were irritating too. Usually those kind of enemies stop being so much trouble once you become a bit stronger in FF games but since IX's damage cap was pretty restricting and it was probably the game I played the least my characters weren't amazingly powerful.

Also, on most occasions Ruby Dragons from FFVIII weren't much trouble but twice in a row while I was on my way to get Bahamut they got me with a back attack; the first attack used was Breath which did max damage to all my characters. Just in case the same thing happened again I put auto-protect on all of my characters, the same thing did happen, and still it did max damage. Very irritating.

Malboros are definitely terrible, and they definitely take the cake as FFVIII's most hated enemy for me. I could almost never defeat them before they used bad breath, and when I tried to junction 100 pains to take off some of the status effects... well, yeah, you can guess just how long that took. Definitely the worst enemy for FFVIII.

However, if I'd have to say for the whole series, that enemy would have to be the bomb. This is mostly coming from experiences in FFX. On the Mi'hen highroad, I can't tell you how angry I got when I saw that I had to defeat one of them. The dark bombs on Mt. Gagazet are ten times more difficult, since they don't have an elemental weakness such as fire bombs do.

Malboros are popular here, and I'd have to agree, especially in VIII. How I used to pray for Odin when I was doing the doomtrain sidequest. Or you could junction confuse to status defence if you'd got that. But they'd always, ALWAYS attack when you took it off, or wandered in by mistake. Bad Breath, Squall kills everyone in confuse mode. Then himself. Game over. Last save several hours ago. RAGE.

I also don't like enemies such as frogs, that turn you into frogs and you haven't got enough maiden kisses, or esuana yet. It's ok on VII because if you're patient enough they'll hit you back and you'll become human again, but other ones, such as III that's it. Hoping around the dungeon to escape to go and buy some more stock, or replenish MP that you've wasted on casting frog. Mini is a pain in the ass too.
