Most Annoying Character

I'm surprised people still have to ask who the most annoying character is...

-It's Tidus if you didn't know.

He's an idiot, he's completely unrelatable to the audience, he has no real chemistry with Yuna so the 'romance' of the story is completely lost, and in hindsight, his character could have easily been replaced with only minor re-writes to the game's script aside from simply cutting every part with him out. 'Listen to my story', indeed! I'll never hear the freaking end of it!
 
I'm pretty sure I commented in this thread before, but I'm doing an updated list (starting from the beginning of the series and working up):

FFVI: Gau - I just found his jungle boy character annoying
FFVII: Cait Sith - just......annoying. Sorry any Cait Sith fans. All one of you, Omegadruid. :P jk.
FFVII: Yuffie - Overly hyper and annoying wannabe ninja (I've seen ninjas on the interwebs. She's NOT a ninja)
FFIX: Quina - Can't stand her/him/it. I find every scene he's in to be unbearably annoying and not funny at all. He provides nothing to the story but failed comic relief.
FFX: Seymour - Freaking die already.
FFX-2: Brother - I don't need to explain. Just one word: incest. Yeah. He's in love with his cousin. yuck. And he's obnoxious.
 
Fran is annoying Biatch. I hate her so much... Everytime she speaks I cringe in despair. Her face is stupid and ugly her butt is nice but that doesnt make up for everything else.
Gau is annoying level OVER 9000 for the reasons Phoenyxangel said.
Lightning in dissidia 012 was quite the annoyance in the beggining. Cocky bitch shut up already.. but then I started to like her (Never played anything related to ff13)
 
Oh, I forgot Fran. Much like how I forgot all of FFXII. lol.

Yeah, the whole bunny ears things and the way she talked....meh. I wouldn't say she's a very annoying character, but probably the most annoying character in the game. At least to me.

:tehe: They're some of my favourite characters :lew: Tidus is my all time favourite, I loved Fran and Squall's awesome :P I do hate Quina though. Most un-needed and annoying character ever!

Who else to the list of annoyances? In order of appearence :)
Aerith (definition of Mary Sue)
Yuffie (she's supposed to be on my team! Stop stealing my materia!!!)
Selphie (not the worst, but the worst in VIII)
Quina (doesn't need an explanation, how I wish it was optional)

I would agree with the entire cast of XIII as well, but I didn't care enough to find them annoying :lew:

I could never really get ito FF8 or FF10. I liked SOME of the characters in those series, but those 2 annoyed me to no end.

As far as Fran goes - I was wrong. I was thinking of Selphie, but for some reason the name Fran popped into my head. So, scratch Fran from my list haha. (its been awhile since I've played them)

I almost added Aerith, but opted against to avoid rage enduced nerds flaming me in my inbox.



and the only reason I cared enough about FF13 was because I made the mistake of sinking $60 into the monstrosity. You have no idea how angry I was throughout the entire game.
 
the only character that I flat out found annoying was Sazh lol. I liked him for his chocobo and that's pretty much it. Seymour was a nuisance though as well. so was the queen in final fantasy 9. Seifer in 8. Cloud in 7. That one guy you find in the meadows on final fantasy tactics. The one with the blonde hair that's like "I WANT TO AVENGE MY FAMILY!". Yeah, he can go away and I wouldn't cry one tear. I degear him anyways and kill him on my own in fights that he participates in lol.

Argath I think was his name? Anyway, if thats who you're talking about I 100% agree with you.
 
I tend to dislike the "mascot"-y characters because their writing and characterization isn't very good. ;;

So Cait Sith, Quina, etc.

I also found Sephiroth to be insufferably annoying, not in the good villainous way either.
 
Yeah, I hated Cait Sith as well. My last playthrough of FFVII, I named him something to the effect of "BUNNIEZ!!" and never used him.

Screw that guy.
 
I seem to have high standards for annoying characters. I can understand why some people think Tidus, Hope and Vanille are annoying, but when they go off about it and refuse to play the game because of those characters, I just say "Really? They're not that experience-crushing..."

I liked Hope as a character and the horrible experiences he went through in such a short amount of time definitely wrecked him. Not much you can do about that. He's only 14.

Vanille IS a bit annoying, but the sweet little scenes she had motivating the crew, shockingly being more brave than Hope always made her character marginally bearable.

Tidus... yes, he reminds me of the typical douchebag from high school movies in the 90s, but without the deep, intimidating voice. He didn't have much of a personality to me and just went along with everything, in the process of getting all up on Yuna. Out of those three, he's the most annoying.

Vaan wins in being the most annoying character for me. He sounds like Tidus, but looks disturbing. All he wants to do is be a sky pirate and has no development as a character, ever. He's just like "MYBROREX. REVENGGEE. SKYPIRATE! :D" and tags along to be yet ANOTHER character to level up. F him.

I really dont mind Hope, because, being taken to become l'cie, losing his mom, and already having resentment toward his dad. yeah, he was mopey for a reason, and it was reason enough with mom dying. I dont hate him, because at least he annoyed the rest of the characters that annoyed me (which is almost the entire cast).

Vanille...her accent was horrible. i know she's australiana nd wanted an australian accent, but i've heard atralian accents before, and her voice is so horrible. trying way too hard to be cute. It didn't suit her at all, made me even more irritated. Should've went with a much more younger voice, or more feminine. Her design was not my favorite, and overall bringing hope from the one person you dont want to hear it from? yeah...i bit my tongue in anger. It wasn't barable.

Tidus? i dont mind so much, but he had his annoying moments. i hardly consider him the "most" annoying.

and Vaan, a bit of a show off.
 
CLOUD! I dislike him quite a lot. He's such as weeny. Always needs encouragement from his friends. He was dying in Advent Children until Zack showed up. In FFVII he defeated Sephiroth with the help of his friends and in Crisis Core.. it seemed quite pre-emptive to me and when Sephiroth was injured.. Cloud took him down. He doesn't deserve the buster sword. Heck, I even like the silver trio more than him. Cloud should have died in place of Zack.
Cloud actually LOOKS like Lightning. Anyone else noticed?

Vanille - Firstly, what the hell is she wearing? Secondly her accent. Sounds.. like a cross between British and Australian. And she acts like this cute little innocent girl.

Fang - Her accent as well. Is it me or does she wear a sari?

To be honest most of the characters in FFXIII are just annoying but you do get used to them.. maybe not Vanille. I don't really like Snow much either. He looks too big and bulky compared to Serah who looks like a kid when he hugs her.
I actually liked Hope. Perhaps the only character who I do like in the game. Maybe Sazh as well.. even though I disliked him at the beginning. No one seems to pay attention to him and Dajh. It's all about Serah. I still haven't finished the game.

But Cloud gets my vote for the most annoying, over-hyped character.
 
Vanille - She's such a Valley girl, I bet she's this two-faced girl who is only nice to people help her do things but after that's done she runs off and sleeps with other men and then comes back pretending nothing ever happened...dirty birdy that one is, no doubt.

Hope - Big closet case we got here, in the beginning he was as attracted to Snow as he was angry at him for his mothers death. Hope always had a thing for tall scruffy blonde men, oh and he's such a diva!

Rikku - the perfect definition of your typical anime girl; extremely emotional, annoying, tacky outfits, etc etc, could have played FFX and X-2 without her.
 
Selphie, from VIII is by far the worst of them. Ugh. :gasp: I just didn't find her necessary to the game, regardless of everything else I feel for her.

Rikku from X/X-2 has annoying personality as well, but she was somewhat pivotal to the plot. I'll give her that.

Vanille from XIII is up there, mostly due to a mix of personality and that terrible accent. Again, though, her role was crucial to the game's plot.
