This rp in potential is going to be set roughly one year after the events of MGR. I'm pretty sure that you have got a rough reading on the game's storyline.

You will be one of the members of Desperado Enforcement LLC. PMC sent to the now warring country of Pakistan to investigate the recent units cyborgs losses near the boarder. Transcripts follows.

Mission objective:
Reach the boarder of Pakistan. Locate the whereabouts of the Pakistan boarder Patrol Cyborg unit and investigate what has happened to them. Eliminate any enemies on sight. Be on the lookout for a Maverick Security Consulting Cyborg. Codename: Raiden. He is responsible for the murder of the Winds of Destruction members Mistral, Monsoon, JetStream Sam, and our commander Sundowner. The Cyborg who brings Raiden back, Dead or Alive, receives compensation for their efforts as well as 5 month bonus and upgrades to State of the Art Cyborg body of their choice. Be forewarned. Raiden is known to have fought and destroyed numerous UGs with ease. Exercise extreme caution when confronting the cyborg.

Rules:
*No god moding.

*No Metagaming.

*No instant kill attacks.

*Be polite

*Only 2 characters per person.

*No one will play as any of the characters from the game itself (including the mgs games)

*Raiden's State of the art Cyborg body technology is already spread throughout the PMC. So ZanDatsu and ninja run is possible for every player with each person having a different variation of it. But it is effectively useless in PvP.

*Sometime near the end of the boss fights, I'll have Quick Time Event or QTE put in the text. Like this. (QTE and a number that I have preselected before hand) When it shows up, message me in private with a guess. First person to message me with the right number will have their character play out that qte in which I'll god mod just the action. The only time I myself will do the QTE is during important portion of the rp. Mainly, beginning, middle, and part of the ending. Before you start spamming pm with every number. You are only allowed 1 guess. I will choose the person who is on or closest to the number I chose.

Age: Can't be any younger then 18 unless your character was one of the few child brains sent out after Sundowner's VR training.

Appearance: (include an image and describe it please.)

Cyborg type: Partial (You have a human body encased in a cyborg shell with the option of removing a limb and replacing it with a cyborg version of said limb. This options makes you far weaker then most characters in the rp. But by trade off, you are allowed more flexibility in terms of stealth related missions.) Or full body conversion (You are a machine with flesh surrounding the core machine functions. Stronger then the average human and twice as strong then a Partial, the trade off for power is you are ill suited for missions requiring stealth bringing attention to yourself without even trying.)

Weapon of choice: (Bullets can be deflected in ninja run. So be careful if you choose a gun.)

History: (where you born during the civil war in Liberia, one of the child brains harvested by Sundowner in 2018 and placed in a cyborg body, or a veteran after the Fall of SOP. This will be 5 paragraph history of your character's background which will include how did you get to be hired by Desperado Enforcement LLC. PMC.)

Personal Cyborg ability: Ninja Run and Zandatsu is standard in all Cyborgs (Partials and Full body conversion) now. (Describe what your character's specialized ability. You can only have 1 specialized ability. It could be Emp stun strikes on contact, Tripod minions to aid you in combat, explosive shielding, or you can make one up yourself. Just remember, this is Metal Gear. Nothing remotely close to magic will be allowed. If you do end up making something up, let me know what it does in full before I let it in.

Standing in at 6'2 with Black hair, this muscular asian man tands tall with blue eyes, tanned skin and weather worn. His sleaveless jacket that falls down to his feets is black while his shirt ends up grey. This pants is also black while he wears combat shoes. His right arm shows obvious sights of cybernetics. Regardless of that, both arms have their own gloves that clings to him tightly.

Cyborg Type: Partial

Weapon of choice: Two Damascus forged HF Katars.

History: Levont Mizer was born in the 1994 in the post war region of Cambodia. Being raised in the third world country, Levont was soon started to learn quickly to survive the world he lived in. Day in and day out, he stole what he needed to survive. At the age of three in 1997, war broke out. With the need for soldiers on the rise, many children were forced enlisted into the military. Among them, Levont was one of the soldiers.

During the war lasting from 1997 to 2007, Levont's reputation as a child soldier grew as the war proceeded until it's end. During the time in war, Levont's abilities with the Katars grew. His attacks were very hard to see to the point that it was almost like lightning. That is when he was given the name of Bliksem.

Soon after the war, Levont was soon wandering the world. Nothing to bind him, he soon made his name known as a mercenary to hire. Many government has offered him a job as their main security officer. He ignored them as he accepted offers that pertained more to the weak.

During Liquid's insurrection in 2014, Levont was with the US military specially organized to stopping the insurrection. Due to his skill, many battles that the troops and indirectly, Solid Snake, fought was won. That also mean that Levont felt the effects of the Sons of the Patriot Systems. This led Levont's hatred to the nanomachines. Soon enough, through Snake's effort, the Sons of the Patriot System was shut down, quickly leaving Levont out of the job.

A few years after the SOP events happened, Levont was on a job to Desperado Enforcement LLC. PMC. It was during one mission that Levont ran into Raiden during his raid into Desperado's company. He fought against the cyborg ninja for a brief period before losing an arm to the man. Soon after the battle, the companies' fortunes faded. But the company had enough money to give Levont his arm. Given an arm, Levont decided to take on more jobs and looks for a chance to repay the damage done to him back to Raiden.

Personal Cyborg ability:
Ninja Run
Zan Datsu
Remote Slider Piloting/ aid: Using the Katars as control sticks, Levont can control a Slider's flight and attack with Missiles. The Sliders that Levont can ride and control have 20 bottom mounted missiles that can be fired at Levont's leisure. When Levont is not actively controlling the Sliders, on call, Levont can bring in 5 Sliders to back him up in a fight. The Sliders that are brought to Levont to back him up in a fight are equipped with two bottom mounted 50 cal machine guns and 10 top mounted missiles.

Ooooh.... I like this one. Expect a bio for a character in the next week or so.

I'll probably spoil MGR for myself- but then again, I didn't particularly plan to buy it for the story alone.

Your RP has quite an interesting concept. Though my only qualm is really just being spoiled on the plot way too soon (which is being rectified by watching a MGR:R Let's Play) I might see myself going up to cyborging myself.
 
The rp is not going to be during the game but 1 year afterwards. But in any case, it'll be nice to rp with ya. XD
 
hmm... i might be able to convert a conversion of a conversion of a character that i made that was never used in those rps. Have to see.

He wears a red trench coat that falls to his lower legs, and matched red dress pants, reminiscent of military Class A Uniform wear. His hands lay bare, both of them showing some signs of cybernetics.

1x HF Kilij, forged by the SOKO Design Bureau in the former SFR Yugoslavia

History:
Luijan was born in Cacak, in the former Yugoslavia (now in Serbia) on 5 September 1977. Growing up, he spent most of his life in comfort during the late Communist era, despite the seemingly third world conditions they were in, managing to grow up in to an upstanding young man. However all of this changed with the Yugoslav Wars. Luijan joined the Yugoslav Army in 1997, where he would be thrust into the War in Kosovo.

Abilities:

Zan Datsu
Endurance: His body allows himself to retain a high degree of efficiency with minimum electrolyte absorption. This means that he can engage in missions on his own for extended periods of time without allied support or against forces not using Cyborgs.

Cyborg type: Partial. Although most of his organs now consist of synthetic tissue and are maintained by nanomachines, Red Ghost's cybernetic enhancements consist only of a flexible yet durable "skin" with fuel-cell-based stealth camo and a scanner in place of his left eye with various modes.

Weapon of choice: A pair of High Frequency Ka-Bar Knifes with an EMP explosive and detonator built into the handle.

History: [spoiler]There few countries more restless than the warring states of Israel and Palestine. Even at his venerable age, Ishmael has only caught a mere glimpse of the turmoil his Israel suffers. Looking back at all the blood he shed in the name of God, he wonders,

[i]"Will all this free my people from their suffering?"[/i]

The first thought in his mind is him learning Krav Maga: of using every resource and tactic to overcome an opponent, regardless of his concept of honor. He remembered being quite talented at it--after all, few first-time pupils could say they dislocated their instructor's forearm as well as broke his jaw during their first lesson. Then again, fighting without honor was easy without any respect given to him.

Then, he remembered marrying his wife and watching his son being born. How happy he was then! . . . And how short-lived that happiness was. as while he serving in the military, Palestine soliders invaded his home and killed all who remained. The mere thought of their brutality made his blood boil--no man would want to relive that event, yet he still does. At least he got his revenge--and the moniker "Red Ghost"--after getting revenge on them, one at a time, until only one soldier was left. That man trembled at his post as he gazed upon the blood smeared on Ishmael's pale face.

"Tell the rest of your bastard bretheren," he said to him, "that if I see them set foot on Israeli soil, they won't take another step."

So the man fled to Palestine, told his general about the Red Ghost, and started the full-scale invasion of Israel. Their mission at the time, wasn't to claim holy land, however. Their mission was to seek retributuion for the brutal deaths of their soliders, no matter how much blood had to be shed to capture Ishmael.

After all, vengeance only begets vengeance. And the only sanctuary left for him was to enlist in the PMC known as Desperado LLC.

Over the years, he has seen many battles and many fallen soldiers. At the age of 56, he was diagnosed with several cancers by the Desperado medics, and was offered a deal to "cure" his cancers: have every organ other than his brain replaced with synthetic tissue, and become the first test subject for innovative cyborg and nanomachine technology.

He survived.[/spoiler]

Personal Cyborg ability:

Zandatsu [Red Ghost stabs his enemies instead of slashing. Red Ghost can score critical hits on limbs (provided they are weakened first) as well as the torso, and when he lands one, he twists the knife and detonates the EMP explosive within the handle, afflicting the limb with paralysis.]

Ninja Run

Bloodletter [Because of Red Ghost's minimal enhancements, he cannot recharge by absorbing electrolytes from his enemies. He, however, can slit an unsuspecting enemy's throat and consume their body with his nanomachines, increasing their productivity.]

@ELC1837 I would like to say welcome to the forums. Now for the abilities. Zandatsu's meaning in Japanese is Cut to Take (fuel cells from enemies to heal). I don't mind having c4 in your weapon. All I just have to ask you is are you using the explosion to increase the cutting power for your knife or are you killing the cyborgs via explosion?

Your ninja run description is a bit more of a problem. Since you chose Partial, you are basically a human with a cyborg shell. Raiden himself couldn't break the sound barrier and he's a fully converted cyborg. So having a mach cone is basically impossible to do. If your character was a full converted Cyborg, this would be even less of an issue in terms using a booster. (though having a rocket booster, even a miniature, is not plausible on a partial. Having the nano machines accelerate the partial's body, I'll buy) I don't have an issue with the other part of your ninja run, so just make a minor change to your ninja run and I'm good with it. (though the alert phase will be judged by me)

Lastly, Bloodletter. I'm not sure how this runs. Can you explain this to me in a bit more detail?

As for the picture question. It's optional, but it helps everyone know what your character looks like.

Thanks ^_^ new to the forums, but not RPing, though I am a bit rusty.

Anyhow, I misinterpreted the meaning of Zandatsu as "slaughter" (had a character in another RP named Zansatsu which does mean "slaughter"), so please forgive me for my lack of knowledge. His Zandatsu is stabbing the knife in a critically wounded area (i.e. blue or unarmored body parts), then detonating the C4 explosive, potentially destroying the fuel cells in the process. My goal with this character was to have something of a stealth-based glass-cannon, hence the partial-cybernetics combined with the lack of a true Zandatsu.

As for the ninja run, would a motion activated stealth camo be better?

Now, for Bloodletter . . . basically, think of his nanomachines as regulators of bodily functions such as metabolism. When he slits someone's throat and allows his nanomachines to consume their fuel cells (note: in hindsight, devouring the entire body seems kinda excessive), their productivity increases to the point where it mimics Vamps own nanomachines for a short duration.
 
@ELC1837 Hmm. I'll let your zandatsu run. But I would rethink on the explosive. If I'm reading this right, after the explosion, you would basically be left weaponless and since you want a stealth based heavy hitter, an explosion would defeat the purpose of that.

Bloodletter I understand it better now thanks. Though I'll set the limit on productivity increase to half of vamp's nanomachines. The last think the rp needs is a PC controlled Vamp.

And for the ninja run, the stealth camo, are we talking about the stealth camo in mgs3 worn by the Fear (it's named the spider camo and it drains stamina moderately which can be easily transferable to fuel cell) or the stealth camo like the elevator scene in MGS?

1. Good point: making a big explosion would be bad for stealth . . . hmm . . . how about instead of C4, activating the detonater releases an EMP shockwave that paralyzes both cybernetics and organics momentarily. Maybe have Red Ghost use Krav Maga when unarmed.

2. Fair enough: besides, Raiden already fought Vamp in two games ;)

3. I'd go with fuel-cell consumption stealth-camo.

ELC1837 At age 56 (you might wanna change the age in your age portion.) Your character is old enough to live through the Liquid Ocolot Insurrection (and felt the SOP system). A paragraph on that year should do. That and describe your character in the appearance. For now, your character's Pending.

bleh.... this is quite upsetting... Well, given that interest has dropped by 50%, i think i might pull out as well. Its a shame really. I had JUST finished MGR. However, do note i will be reserving and saving my character profile that i had written (up to history) and should people show back interest, ill join.
