I agree that Tifa and Cloud can be symbolized by a night sky, or a shooting star. Though, I guess if any of Cloud's dialog included a promise there's only one woman it could be referring to. That could be used as well!

I found something interesting in Thelifestream forums

In Final Fantasy 7 there are two heroines called Tifa and Aerith, and the bad blood between the fans of these characters is well known.

Each insist that their favourite is the main character's official koibito (= heroine), and their quarrel continued on without end.

(In the game, there is not passages with directly show who is his koibito, and things such as the date event depend on player's pervious actions.)

But 9 years after the release of FF7, a book of design materials called Reunion Files came out, in which it clearly said "Tifa is Cloud's koibito."

With this the Tifa fans bashed Aerith even more, and thinking themselves the victims the Aerith fans launched a vicious counterattack.

You can't help but be amazed at the extent of this shockingly brutal quarrel.

But there is also a problem with the developers, who now officially state who is the koibito after 9 years of having two heroines.

in Japan the koibito statement is known as "declaration of Cloti canonicity" it is funny that only Clerith on this side of the world think their couple it's canon.

Haha, it is shocking. For the 'pink side' to refer to themselves as Nazi's. Well, it's just baffling. How crazed can you be?

Though I've seen some pretty scary Cloti's out there. Ones who've gone to the extent to e-stalk people and manipulate their personal pictures online (example, taking someones facebook picture and making fun of it).

The farthest I've gone is simply, debating. I don't see how people can get so crazy. About the Koibito statement, it's sad that some need to twist this statement around. It's painfully clear.

Merry real Christmas, btw. Santa was one generous mofo this year.

I don't get any Xmas gifts, because my XMas/Birthday gift was a PS3... and my birthday was way back in July Well, that's not actually true. I got a winter jacket, but not really because I wanted one. My mom just doesn't want me catching colds

Oh well, the only 360 exclusive game I've had my eye on was Tales of Vesperia. Other than that, I'm a little out of the loop with next-gen stuff.

If this computer were solely mine, I'd be downloading some of that Clack doujinshi I have to wait until my laptop's fixed though, or run the risk of having my mom stumble across some guyxguy comics

Of course, I couldn't go so far without a memory stick ... I had to buy one today and I can't wait to get back into the action.

And I can recall the "Tifa wears a mini-skirt, so she's a whore" conversation from a long time ago. So what? She needs a little bit of spunk. And in AC, she's still wearing it, but with shorts! If she was wearing a dress, then we wouldn't be able to spot the difference between her and Aeris.

Lol, thats pretty true.. Anyways. I figured her clothings in the game itself had always been more or less to the sexy side. Aerith was more to the innocent side.

Sure we would. One's got this massive protrusion coming out of her torso, and the other is Tifa.

Okay, that was mean, but I couldn't resist the snark.
And I must admit that I might be the source of the 'Aerith's skirt is open up to her waste' (Though someone else might have totally done it before me) stuff, but I said that only to point out to a crazy named daflock that she really ought not to be calling someone a whore when her golden calf wandered the streets at night selling strange men flowers. I do not, and have not ever thought any of the three girls was a whore (I think Yuffie might pretend to be a whore to get money, but I doubt she'd deign to sleep with the schmuck), I just wanted to point out that if we were being assholes, a better case could be made of both Aerith and Yuffie (unbuttoned shorts, no belt) being of ill repute than Tifa.

Of course, I can't help but entertain the snarky fanon notion every so often that Aerith wasn't a "flower seller" but a "flour seller", if you get my meaning, and that the reason Sephiroth went so crazy is because he'd gone too long without his fix.

Of course, I know full well none of that is the actual story, just the same sort of line of thought that made me decide that to end the Aeris/ Aerith nattering by declaring her name was Nancy.
