Lightning: Cloud or Squall?

Oh, yea, I know they share some aspects. I thought people were trying to say they look exactly the same 'cept one has pink hair.:nerd:
To me they look like they can be related, like brother & sister.:hmm:

Of course you do :hmmm: Not even seeing him as a girl would turn you off that man.

I say daughter still, Couldn't possibly be a sister unless they ar twins separated at birth then yes, in a soap opera *Cough*General Hospital*Cough* way that works.

But for the life of me I don't see a Squall in her anywhere :randompoke:

Squall wishes he was that pretty.:spaz: And it's true... I could see Cloud cross dressing and I'd still think he was a sexy piece of man.

I agree, though. I don't really see Squall attributes in her. :monocle:

She looks like Cloud but her weapon is a gunblade and that's similar to Squall.

Dunno..

Cloud was always calm/ collected didn't give a damn was a smart ass and schizo/ depressed..

Lighting seems kinda angry/ aggressive and seems- by trailers prone to break down during rough moments and sometimes trigger something by addicent like Squall did in FF8..

she seems familiar like another Final Fantasy character.. but can't finger point who..

she just seems like a character that {* thinks *} she knows her life and her mission in life and then heads throughout the story and ends up that she was wrong about her life purpose..

Lol is beginning to think that she is a aggressive cold- hearted Tidus now..

Look like Cloud, although read up, weapon, hair etc. a LOT more like Squall, so kind of a combination of the two I guess, although I'm hoping a completely new personality rather than being anything like either of the previous characters

Thats just amazing lol. I hope Lighting isnt going to be like Cloud or Squall. I do like Squall, dont get me wrong, but I dont want a female version of him. I do like Lighting, she is such a strong willed female character. But in the trailer, shes says she changed her name to escape her past. That screams Cloud and Squall to me.
 
well i'd say i like lightning kinda in that sort of way of course she kinda does look like cloud but more of i'ld say but it just puts things in two personalitys and i think lightning just looks good the way she is thanks and true noctis does look alot more like cloud possible even cooler i'am right
 
Lightning does look more like Cloud Strife, and I love her sword the Gun-sword. Lightning looks more like a feminine version of Cloud Strife then she does of Squall, but I hope that Lightning will tell all the people her first name is. I'm curious about that of course. Anyone could plainly see that she is almost looks like Cloud.
 
Definitely Cloud. I don't know HOW you think he looks like Squall.o_O;

Definately Cloud. Cloud and lightning have this light melancholy in their faces, but Squall carries anger. His mouth is kind of curved downwards aswell, but Lightning's and Cloud's are more narrow and on the same line.
 
I'm kinda hoping the comparisons aren't to either of those 2 characters. I know it won't happen, but I'd like to see the characters' personalities, a majority of their looks, and their actions to reflect a whole new style of how characters are; not reliving old characters from past FF games.

I know that Squenix can only go so far and their style of making characters is very similar in most aspects, but I say we REALLY NEED TO move on from the copy catting off of Cloud and Squall.
 
Wasn't Lightning supposed to be a "female Cloud Strife"? I can't really see the resemblance - Cloud always looks somewhat dim-witted to me, as if he's trying very hard to think about something ridiculously simple that he knows he should comprehend instantly but can't for the life of him figure it out.
She definetely doesn't look anything like Squall. Squall radiates hostility.
 
Well to be honest, I'd like to think that she is her own character and not a comparison of either Cloud or Squall.
With that said I haven't casted a vote and will not:D
 
Lightenting is like a "female cloud strife" but she fights with a futuristic version of squalls gunblade... Maybe she's got some originality in there somewhere....the game just hasn't come out yet so we dont know everything.
 
I don't think she really looks much like either besides the fact that they like to make male characters look more feminine.
I do however think that her gunbladish weapon looks very cool and when I saw it somehow I had more hope for the game then previously.
 
Well what weapon she uses really has no effect on the way she looks so that argument doesn't really matter much. It's Cloud obviously ANIEC.

Anyone who is saying she's "her own character" all I have to say is "no shit!". I don't really understand why you think her being her own character doesn't mean she can't look similar to another character. People look similar to people all the time it doesn't mean they aren't their own person. Everyone is talking as if her looking like someone means that she is the same character. Thats not the case there are just some similarities in their appearances it's not a big deal and they don't look exactly the same.
