I find it funny that you numbered your reasons and shit. :mokken:

Making lists may be the closest thing to a fetish I have...

:hmm:

Well Ryan did that on purpose, but Ryan left for a solid reason. He was on this forum for a long time though. His mind must have exploded, because of half of the bullshit thats going on FFF.

lol

He may've gone a bit nutty to name change to 'gingerbread lesbian'. :hmm:

Big bulges in men's pants aren't necessarily money, I regret to inform....thee. :ness:

Not the sexist, not the sexist!!

I had allanis's greatest hits playing earlier at work

That song gets stuck in my head sometimes for no reason.

Its amazing how she adds extra syllables in places there shouldn't be. :ness:

Why do people try to take things in the spam section so seriously??? :hmmm:

shes got a great voice

Are you kidding pooley :O Its with robert deniro. Was filmed back in the 70s. Its supposed to be one of the all time classics. Its about the vietnam war affects this small town and a group of people. Deniro and his buddies are sent to nam but captured and forced to play russian roulette with eachother. Its a great film but its 3 hours long D: The last 35 minutes can be tough. Kinda like watching casino.

I watched righteous kill and HEAT not all that long ago. Both have pacino and deniro. I cant decide who i like better though. Theyre both just too good.

The deer hunter also has christoper walken? Hes brilliant in it and meryl streep too. Not a fan of her though. Deniro makes the film though.

though though though though though

Omg Deniro in Taxi Driver.

I had a mini crush on him when I first saw this movie. It's a great film though and that epic monologue he does while pointing his gun at the mirror is classic. I like Meryl Streep. Heat's a really good film too but Deer Hunter I've gotta check out 'cause I've never heard of it. Pacino's just amazing. I loved him as Scarface. I love all those gritty crime films really.
Like Good Fellas and the Godfather although Good Fella is fucking brutal.

Sexist!

Goodfellas is easily one of my favourite films ever though i think joe pesci is the real star of that film. Carlitos way is my favourite pacino film by a mile. I like scarface and think hes excellent but ive never loved the film like everyone else does. Carlitos way though was just too good.

Been a long time since ive seen taxi driver. Its a film i need to pick up and rewatch :hmmm:

I think personally Deniros took a lot of bad roles in films. The fawkers etc. Pacinos films seem more selected.

Yeah, I mean while it's true that Pacino's shied away from the big screen to do work in theater (which he's also really good at IMO), he definitely is much more selective in his roles than say De Niro. De Niro's made some iffy choices thus far in his more recent films but I did fancy him in that movie with Ben Stiller. I just don't think he was amazing in it. I think his older work is where he shines, definitely. I barely remember Carlito's Way, I must've been like 6 or so when that came on TV once. Haha. I'd have to sit and re-watch it properly. Omg Joe Pesci was good in it but I have to give Ray Liotta some credit, he really held his own in that movie. He was downright terrifying in some scenes. Liotta's another good actor but again, made some poor choices in later roles too.

The guy ray liotta played. Henry hill. He actually died a few days ago. I was reading about it on msn news :lew: He always said that goodfellas was so close to the truth. Which i thinks awesome cuz that films is awesom. Joe pesci always plays a great phyco. Seems to land alot of roles where he plays the clown. Home alone lethal weapon etc but hes at his best in films like casino and goodfellas. Imo hes one of the most underrated actors ever.

Watch carlitos way :ryan:

Yeah I'mma get on that and watch it. I've gotta thing for crime films and really good king fu films. There's something nostalgic about watching guys beat the snot out of each other in a movie and wincing at all the bloody gunfights and fist fights. Sometimes mushy romantic comedies just don't do it for me. But shit like "Hero" and "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and "The Godfather" films always keep my eyes glued to the screen. I hate missing good action scenes in a movie. It's true though that Joe Pesci's underrated man, he's a good clown, he's a good psycho, he's just one of those good character actors. He can slip seamlessly into a role and that takes true skill. That's something that Liotta and these other guys are really good at too. Marlon Brando was another fav of mine, man his voice was just crazy. Lol, my mom used to try to impersonate that voice when I little and she did a good job of it. Lol. Had me rollin'. But it's little things like getting the facets of a character down that really make the actor's role moving and just brilliant. But it's good that Good Fellas got recognized for its truthfulness to its portrayals of these guys because it was pretty realistic. Mob families back in the day really did operate like that, as I've heard from people.

I never really liked jet li films all that much but hero was brilliant. I still think his actions scenes are ridiculous but hero was so well done that it was impossible to not like. My favourite martial arts film would be ong bak. hands down the best stuntwork from an actor ive seen in any film. the guys name is tony jaa. Hes a bit like jackie chan. Does all his own stunts etc. The things he does in ong bak is crazy :lew:

Marlon brando in the godfather :ryan:

Tom recommended Ipman to me so I've gotta check that one out plus the sequel. Just Wiki'd the film and the actor so I'm gonna check out Ong Bak as well. Man Muay Thai is crazy I've got mad respect for those guys that train from when they're like five-six years old, that shit takes dedication and hard work. Muay Thai's like brutally beautiful though, so much power behind those moves. And guys who do their own stunts in films, like Jackie Chan, get mad respect from me. Another film I really like is Kung Fu Hustle, pays homage to all those old kung fu films in a parody sort of way. Funny but bad ass, it's a classic to me.

ipman is reaaaaaaly good aswell. Thers some ott fight scenes but its a really good film. Me and tom wre chatting about ong bak a while ago. We both agreed its the best of thebest. Except ong bak 2 and 3. They have no relation to the 1st and are just a bit crap storywise.
Cant beat a bit of jackie and the drunken master :ryan:
