Is it just me or is the forum quiet lately?

Ive noticed the last few times Ive been online that the forums are alot more quiet.

It could just be my imagination and I know we have people from around the globe on here, so theres the time difference and all, but it sure seems like there are less people on at the moment.

That's a good question.
It's probably because they're all busy with school, work etc.
Once the holydays come this forum will be busy again.














Or maybe they're just hiding in the shoutbox :wacky:
 
Lol, yeah the shoutbox has claimed many victims!


Thats good though, i forgot people went back to school/college/uni.
 
It's still pretty active, getting like...200-400 posts a day. The majority of the time the people are in the shoutbox though. Or like, at college and school and shizz D=
 
yup, employment and education have kicked back in, also some people have defected over to SEF. but that isn't a problem, FFF is still where the party is. but yea mainly because of School and stuff.
i have been less active because of College so others might be the same
 
We've had a rather large number of people resign from staff lately, so I think that has contributed. I'm not suggesting that the new mods aren't doing just as good a job, but it's bound to affect the forums. We've also had people leave, people who have been here awhile and contribute more than some of the newer members.
 
I think it has something to do with so many of the mods resigning as well. Like Kasabian said, the new mods are doing just as good a job as those that left, but losing like 6 mods all at once is going to affect the forums in some way, and this is how.

A lot of FFF members are joining SE forums as well, which isn't a bad thing, I just know from personal experience that it's hard to post a ton on two forums. When I joined advent children forums, I started posting there all the time and didn't come on here accept like once a week.

To top it all off, school and work are probably contributing to the decline lately. I know I haven't been posting that much during the week at least because of all the schoolwork I have to do >_>

I've also noticed a huge decrease in forum activity, I usually leave this open as a tab for most of the day and it is quite obvious that this place seems a lot more quite than a few weeks ago.

Agreed. Plus most of the active members have joined SEF as well, and as Stella said, it is quite hard to post lots on two forums. Plus as stated above, school/college ect.. is most likely a main factor as well.

The fact that these things all occurred at the same time kinda made it inevitable that the forum would lose activity. Just give it some time and the forum will return to the Pee Wee Herman's Playhouse it used to be.
 
Yes, we're all aware that the activity has declined, especially with the major changes we've had recently, but we'll certainly try to keep things running smoothly again. In fact we're working on a few things right now to spark some more activity out there, so be on the lookout for that. ;) Thanks to everyone who's been contributing to the forums though. =]
 
*well ya cant expect people to be always on th net, they've got their lives to live. plus there are more important things than typing messages on a forum ;) ;)

*maybe theyre just sick of doing the same old routine over and over on the forum or the entire world wide web ;)

*for me im just an occasional member, i log in when i feel like it, im not required to log in right!? ;)
 
Yea, i'm at class or work most of the day, but i try to be as active as possible on the forums whenever possible. Occasionally skipping hw to post some stuf and search the forums.
 
Some of the members could be rpg-ing as well, or just looking around the place and not posting. Or asleep ;)
 
SEF isn't like the most particularly active messageboard around at the moment, what with it being a baby, so that's not an excuse for people to simply give up posting here. There's still much more on here for people to post in.

But sometimes forums do get quiet, and yes it maybe to do with some staff leaving recently, but, nothing stopping them from posting here, unless everyone hated people here either in staff, members, or both.
