I was keeping a low profile abit back, hadn't been on for abit, wasn't really posting either and just wanted to have a browse without seeing SHE'S ONLINE GET IN THE SB/MSN/ETC. And because it's something I've never given a shit about before or since then, I just haven't changed it back, because I can't be arsed

Invisible mode is kinda fun just for lark........l like to think of it as a cloaking device lol
one that nobody really gives a shit about, paranoia.....nah, harassment.......that'll be the day, anonymity has its place.......and like you guys say it dont harm no one.

I've never used it on this site. I did try it maybe a couple of times on previous sites ages ago, when I was getting harassed but other than that I don't bother.

And can't mods see invisible members anyway?

And yes they can. I think a little asterix or something pops up next to the members names if they are using invisible mode.

It took me forever to figure out what it meant when I was a mod lol. >.<

Took me about the same time to realise that the little + sign next to members names meant that they were on your buddy list. XD

So yeah, you're never completely invisible. =P

its not because i feel guilty or controversial or whatever other crap it was whatshisface said. it just felt like i had more privacy that way

though it automatically gets turned off every time i get banned soooooooooo ive stopped keeping up. im here, i hate queers and theres not a lot you can do about it !

Wowzers. I didn't even know we had this option. Though, this does explain so many things I've had in my head. "Whoa dude! How is (insert name here) sending me messages if (insert name here) isn't online?" I totally get it now. I don't think I'd ever use it. It does seem kinda pointless. The truth is I am always online. I have the site on my phone and my phone in my pocket. I guess part of that is to check my VMs throughout the day. I'll feel bad if I miss one. Anyway, I don't know if I'll ever use it. Never say never though.

The whole point of foruming is to make your ideas known, and, of course, reputations sprout regarding your name. Post often and eventually be known to the mods, that's what part of it is about. I'd say 'invisible mode' is hardly useful and doesn't have much of a function. Unless you're purposely avoiding someone on the same forum, or if it's supposed to be an ironically hip M.O. There's always going to be those types that invisible just cuz it's 'cool'.
