I swear there was a thread on this already but I can't find it. Please merge if there is one and my eyes just skimmed over it. >.<

Anyway, I was just out at the shops tonight and commented on how Steve is an impulse buyer. >.<

I am so good at just walking past things even if I would like to buy them. I can just wave it off and go, "Don't need it. No money for that."

I never allow myself to become attached to items. I won't stop and look at things even if they catch my eye as I'm walking past. If I didn't come down to the shops for it, then I don't even bother looking at it.

Some people will still impulse buy regardless of their circumstances.

When I go out to get something, I do not come back with more than I went out for.

The only time that happens is if I'm food shopping and I'm always with Steve then. XD

But if I go out on my own to get a pair of workshoes, I don't come home with a few more pairs of going out shoes.

I don't buy the lollies at the checkout. I don't get that magazine as I'm waiting in the line.

I'm so glad I am like that, otherwise we'd be screwed if we both bought shit all the time.

Anyone else a really bad impulse buyer?

im an impulse buyer, il go out for one tshirt and come home with a whole new wardrobes worth of clothes <_<

Im niot bad with money though, despite my love to spend and buy stuff i dont need. No credit cards, healthy bank balance, so i dont feel too guilty when Ive just blown money on yet more shoes
ive got things ive never worn/used.... :wacky:

i'm a pretty big impulse buyer. the way i see it is that you get a job and earn money so that you can afford things that you like, so why not buy it? you're just going to be bored otherwise.

i've had to hold off a lot lately though because i'm not working so i can't afford to spend like i used to when i had a job but i'm sure that'll change when i'm earning again

I'll admit to impulse buying :damon:

The worst of it happens during the Christmas season, when I'm out buying stuff for other people. I'll have to get one for that person AND one for myself...it's horrible :(

I've been not so good with my money lately but I have to admit it feels good to have some of my Christmas shopping done already. Christmas is a hard time of the year for me. I'm always thinking of what I could get for someone or the perfect gift and its really hard to resist buying things for the house or myself.

On a day-to-day basis I tend to spend more practically. Although...if I'm in the right mood...I could very well go out looking for one specific thing and come home with an arm full of necessities...or clothes. I'm such a shopaholic though I can't really help it :( Just as long as I have the money to be able to pay for everything I'm good.

:hmph: I am the worst impulse buyer I know. Sometimes i just suddenly want something and I HAVE to get it no matter what and it has to be in the same day that I've thought it up! Like I recently bought a laptop just because. I didn't really need it but I saw it in the shop and I had to have it right then and there so I got it :damon:

It's horrible, being an impulse shopper. It's an expensive habit that I wish I didn't have.

This tends to only happen to me when I'm browsing around in clothes stores. Everything else, I'm perfectly fine. I don't do it when I'm grocery shopping and I certainly don't do it when I'm looking at electronics. I'm normally very careful with my money, so unless I've exceptionally good reason to, I wouldn't suddenly walk out of say, Dixons with a £250 HD camcorder when I've no use for one.

It's just in clothes stores that I suddenly have this thought wave going through me telling me that I probably don't have enough and that I should probably splash out on some new outfits on the safe side. Unfortunately "on the safe side" is completely blurred soon enough, I turn into a kid at a sweets store and I end up buying an unnecessary amount of outfits. It's kind of fortunate that I won't be doing much of that here as it would require heading to Coventry or Birmingham, and I'm scared of doing precisely that because of my poor sense of direction.

I have to go through the system in order to be an impulse buyer. What that means is, if I see something I like, I'll have to persuade my parents to get it for me. I've done it plenty of times before. Especially with WWE DVDs. I saw one at a TRU one time, and we were there for something completely different, but I talked them into getting it for me.

So I think it's a safe bet that I'll be an impulse buyer with my own money too. XD
