...who would it be? I didn't put this in the Spam section because (believe it or not) I don't intend for this to become a Spam thread. Although, the only reasonable place that I could think of this getting moved is The Lobby.

I think it'd probably be Billy Zane. The guy's epic. He's got that powerful, persuasive voice. He's kind of an enviromentalist. And not to mention that he's Billy FUCKING Zane. If it weren't him, I'd probably assume (like many other people) that it'd be Morgan Freeman. Would anyone be surprised if he turned out to be? I mean, really? Hell, I'd buy it. He's got that glow about him.

Lol, interesting topic. I'll be honest I haven't sat down and seriously considered what particular actor/actress would be comparable to a God or Goddess. So let's see . . . I guess for me it would be Angelina Jolie. She's an ambassador for the US of A, she's adopted three children or more, she's helped many of these impoverished countries by being a voice for these people. Not only that but in my opinion she's evolved into a multifaceted actress, challenging herself with each role she takes. I've always admired her talent as an actress, I used to find her odd but I think throughout the phases of her life she has matured into a wondrous and really selfless person. There's just something deeply admirable and enchanting about her and that carries over into her later work.

Brian Blessed.

Not only does he have a famous loud, booming voice, but he has achieved a heck of a lot in his life (besides what he is known for as an actor, he has also done a lot of adventuring and mountaineering, and holds / has held many records in these).

He is superhuman, and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he truly had otherworldly origins.

Even though I'm not a huge fan, I'm actually going to venture a guess that if any celebrity was some sort of other-worldly being, it would have to be Oprah. She seems to have an unusually widespread influence across many, many people in the world, and even though she asks what I believe are very invasive personal questions, the people she interviews still just open right up and answer them O_O I rarely watch her show, but I saw her do this with J.K. Rowling once, and I was surprised at some of the questions that were asked and how readily Rowling answered such personal questions. Something about Oprah is kind of eerie to me, actually :hmmm:, so I'm not sure that she would necessarily be a "good" being, but people with an unusual charisma/appeal like that which I myself don't understand, always leave me guessing.

One other thing to consider though, is that with celebrities, the media plays a huge part in shaping our "image" of them--so if someone is a celebrity who seems ethereal in some way, is it really that person who's responsible for that idea, or the people promoting them? There are some celebrities who have accomplished lots of impressive things, but there are also many everymen who have done lots of things that are just not publicized :hmmm:

This is going to sounds a little crazy, but my answer would have to be Lady Gaga. Not a big fan of her music, but she's clearly a trickster goddess.

Her wardrobe is something that only an other-worldly being would conceive of or wear (meat. 'nuff said). The only other people I've seen with outfits of similar caliber would be some of David Bowie's personas (he's also a likely candidate for celebrity-god). Her music is the pinnacle of its genre (soul-less electronica), and she's even made it clear that she's aware that her music is completely soul-less and just industry/popularity driven. She is making popular music exclusively for the purpose of making popular music, and has no issue with doing that.

Friends and I have had this conversation before, and have already come to the conclusion that this is really the case. Terrifying, but terribly likely.

I think she'd be on my list of people I'd consider to be Satan. Think about it. She's always telling people what to read. Isn't it possible that the books have hidden messages in them? Also, she's always giving into people's greed by constantly handing out expensive things at her shows. Sort of a way of buying people's loyalty. Plus, she has a HUGE following. A rather large group of Americans who'd probably be willing to kill for her. Think about it folks.

Micheal jackson. I hate the person yet I like the music. It was the first thing that popped into mind.

Well He has gotten away with so many illegal things in his life, he is a freak in many different ways and even changed colors.

Even though he is a freak of nature in so many ways....he is worldwide famous! Im living in china right now and he is like the most popular american singer of all ages. I think its wierd how someone can get away being reffered to a legend when he has done so many corrupting things.

This is easy, The Undertaker.

When you see him, he commands your attention. You want to look away out of fear, but you just can't stop watching him. You're also in awe the whole time you're watching him too.

His voice is very deep and serious, just like his personality. He takes no BS. You know that if you peeve him off, you're gonna get your arse kicked.

So there. Undertaker & Kane are already gods to me anyway.
