I love when people talk movies in threads. My next to watch list is howls moving castle. Toni recommended it to me along with spirited away. Spirited away has easily come to be one my favourite films and without a doubt the best animated film i have ever seen. This film opened my eyes and i will no longer snob anime off so quickly as being rubbish because its anime. Utterly amazing film.

On topic. I hate roller costers so fucking much

Anything by Studio Ghibli is typically good. If you loved Spirited Away, you'll really enjoy Howl's Moving Castle. Also, check out Laputa: Castle in the Sky, and Porco Rosso. They're also by Studio Ghibil and really amazing films. Proco Rosso is a little bit on the silly side, but still very good... if you can get past the concept of a man being turned into a pig man by a witch a long time ago and now flies planes.

I didn't like Porco Rosso...it was really boring. Laputa was cool though, I enjoyed that a lot. I will make him get that after he watches Howls :griin:

Not everything by Studio Ghibli is good or even close, though.

Your all gunna turn me into an anime nerd :rage:

First spirited away and howls moving castle next thing you know lews trading pokemon cards down the local dungeon master shop :gasp2:

Well, most things. Now that I recall that movie about the racoons or whatever fighting in the woods with no pants on... And the Earthsea moving was disappointing... which was really sad because I loved the books.

I can't wait for this to happen!!!

Also, everyone should watch this: Tekkinkonkreet
It's fucking amazing :| A bit depressing compared to the stuff by Studio Ghibli though (Other than Grave of the Fireflies :damon:). :hmmm:

I feel like such a geeky mac geek, I don't even like anime that much! :wacky: But the movies are good if you find the right ones!

il die before i even look at a pokemon card. Im serious about this!

I picked up 13 films today for just over £10. Winner winner

You should also watch Princess Mononoke. It's my favorite Ghibli film. :gasp:

Today i bought the following.

The fast and furious 1-3. Seen them all but dont own them

Rambo 4 (how it shoulda been named) I have the trilogy but lacked the 4th film which is very brutal but really quite good imo.

Serenity. Heard its not as good as firefly but i loved the show so i gotta see the film.

Gone in 60 seconds. Seen it but dont own it. Classic film tho. Elanor and jolie are hot.

Amelie. French film which ive been tempted to buy on so many occasions but never did. This im really looking forward to.

Forest gump. One of my favourite films ever. I shouldve bought this years ago.

Pans labyrinth. Another film ive wanted to pick up for a long time. Looking forward to seeing this as well.

The good the bad and the ugly. Absolute classic film.

National treasure 2. Seen the first film on netflix and thought it was pretty decent, hopefully the 2nd will be just as good.

Independence day. This film gets hated on so much but ive always loved it.

I am legend. Not seen this but have wanted too for a looooong time. Was gunna pick up the blu ray cuz it was only a few quid more but i dont care that mucha bout blu rays so i just went with the normal.

I really wish blu rays were the same size as normal DVD cases. Itt messes the flow up with theyre smaller cases.

Thats 13 films and i got them all for 19.79. Id say thats pretty fricking good. (this is a different bundle from the other 13 films i got the other day btw)

If your on amazon the seller you wanna look for is called zoverstocks. They are the best for deals when it comes to DVDs Cds games etc.
The Doctor Gingerbread Man

A great mix!

Pan's Labyrinth in particular is brilliant. It's very well made.

As for Rambo 4... Which one is that one? The recent one which they just called Rambo, but really (as you say) should have been called something else? If so, then I've seen that.

I'll have to look into that seller. That's an amazing bargain for a collection of DVDs like that.

Yeah its the newest one. Where hes working as the boatman in Vietnam? I think its Vietnam anyway..

Ive heard many good things about pans labyrinth and Amelie. They're the ones im most looking forward to watching.

Yeah, that's right.

I think it is in Thailand and Burma, but it crosses the borders. Rambo started in Vietnam, but I think he's moved about a bit since then about the whole region.

Yeah, this Rambo movie is particularly violent. Lots and lots of massacre scenes.

I need to stop this shopping of films every couple of days. I really cant afford it.

I sneakily picked up man on fire tho..

i heard man on fire was really crap.

i've been offered shutter island and both iron mans on blu-ray for £20. not sure if i should bother with the iron man films though

Hmmm i would pass on that personally. £20 for 3 films is alot. Even for blu ray. I got the alien films on blu ray for a tenner and the lotr films on blu ray for a tenner also.
Shutter island is good but i cant see much benefit on bluray as its a thriller. The big action movies are where you see the difference on blu ray :hmmm:

£20 is good for three blu-rays. i bought kick ass, batman begins the dark knight off her for the same price.

i want to wait for an avengers boxset to get them on blu-ray. the american one looks amazing
