One of the best FF's in my opinion.

Well I'd say ebay is your best bet, I'd recommend you keep at it. But if there are any secondhand shops that you know of with a healthy video game selection I'd try there, I got my copy from a secondhand shop for only $2.

If worst comes to worst you can always use an emulator.

Sometimes stores like Gamestop have GBA games in stock, that's where I got mine. And yes FF6 is amazingly good. A lot of the time people fight over which is the best game in the series, and it almost always comes out FF6 or FF7. :P

What system are you trying to play it on? If it's for the old SNES, you'll probably have a harder time going for that. I played my copy for the PS1 and got the FF Anthology Compilation including FFV and FFVI.

I got mine off eBay for around $18, but this was about 5 years ago.

amazon.com you can order almost anything and I got mine there it'll probably cost more than at ebay though. I thought the game was rather fun myself just as good if not better than the rest imo.

Yeah it's definitely a great game though. If I wasn't so in love with FFIX and FFX, I'd say it's my favorite, but it's #3 on list of FF's. Story, characters, bosses, worldmap, all amazing. Amazon's also a great deal because I got FF Origins and a few other games from their and like someone said previously, you can get it cheaper than than off eBay and they have a lot of options that have cheaper shipping rates as well.

I know what you mean - all over the UK nowadays I cannot seem to find a copy (new or pre-owned) of the game at all. Who knows - there's probably a range of overlooked shops I haven't been into. When it came out for the GBA, it was a bad time. The DS was taking over the dying GBA's place in the stores and GBA games were really marginalised.

As for the PS1 version you want, I would say too that Ebay and Amazon are probably your best bet. I bought the PS1 version years ago - I'm not sure how readily available on the net it is nowadays though as I haven't checked myself.

You need to get it if you can. It is arguably THE best FF game as an all-rounder. Though in 2D, the graphics are really pretty, the soundtrack is simply beautiful to listen to, the characters are human (perhaps not Kefka, he's a complete loony bin xD) and relatable, and the story? It's probably one of the series's best alongside the likes of FFIX and FFX.

I just bought this game myself a month ago and I got it off ebay.

I would say just keep watching ebay as well as other options members have listed.

There's plenty of people out there in the world and it just depends on the people who own the game as to when they decide to sell it.

I was checking back and forth for a few months before I found what I was after.

One person in particular just listed all his Final Fantasy games on ebay simply because it wasn't his thing anymore.

You just have to watch out for those sort of opportunities. =)

Since you do want the PS1 version, go to Amazon.com. You can get FF Anthology which includes FF6 and FF5 :). And you get the cool, though outdated, opening 3D graphics XD

You may be able to find the GBA version at Gamestop. Though, where I live, GBA games are getting fewer and fewer in number :(

FF6 is definently good though. It's my second favorite in the series and I personally think it has the best characters in any FF game, and the best plot twist.

You should keep looking but I understand what you mean.

I checked a few game shops and found that Final Fantasy 6 on GBA is £30 used!

I actually need to find the Anthology Collection myself as I never completed 5 yet. :(

Looks like Ebay or Amazon for you then. Or try a CEX or Cash Converters, second hand game shops. But onlines gonna be your best bit.

FFVI on PS1 is really rare nowadays. So it probably comes to no surprise that sellers are selling it for moderately high prices. Good net prices I have found are on Amazon (I didn't bother checking Ebay because I don't use it xD).

If you want it new on GBA, I've found one for a friendly £20. That isn't bad at all considering it is new - according to the seller. As for PS1, new copies go from £50 onwards (ouch.) Preowned copies - I have found a couple of sellers selling them for £25-£26 as a minimum. They could be missing the FFX demo disc and a manual, but I guess it won't matter that much.

I sort of hope that helped - this is also to help anyone else here as well wishing to track down the elusive FFVI.

I seen a copy on e bay and bidded for it but went to a stupid price (25 pound) and couldnt afford it, So why does a rare game go for such a stupid damn price?!

Cause its a rare game, hence why they go for stupid prices. If you want something badly, you will go to daft limits with cash to get it.

I saw it on Amazon (the greatest hits anthology version) for around $15. I'm not sure where you're located but the UK Amazon has it for around 19 pounds. I doubt you'll find it much cheaper than that, especially the SNES version.

Unless you find an idiot like the one who sold me my copy. I got the SNES version for $1 along with about 25 other SNES and NES games (some very rare like FF Mystic Quest, FFIV and the original FF). All were $1 each. :tehe:

But back on topic, I think your best bet is going to be Amazon for a decent price.
