Playstation I beat Star Ocean The Last Hope!!!

Well its just challenging Ryan. You are playing on Galaxy mode right? If you are a begginer you should have played on earth difficulty. I am glad to see that you are playing on galaxy for a challenge. If you cant get further and need help feel free to ask me Ryan. :awesome: So now you are going for your first SO TLH acheivement. Kick armaro's ass. You will get a new character also.

I didn't really do it for a challenge haha xD I end up playing the normal/middle difficulty anyway so it was just a natural instinct to choose that :wacky: I'm fairly decent at the game, the battle system just threw me a bit, and I want a new character ;_;
 
You will get 2 new characters soon. Also Ryan have you got any battle trophies yet? If not try to get as many you can on the first run through Star Ocean The last Hope. As for other acheivements like Item creation(these are easy) Just get the right materials and you will be ok. Very Important9DO NOT MISS THE PRIVATE ACTIONS YOU NEED FOR FAIZE AND CROWES ENDINGS! IF YOU do you are FUCKED!

I got that green haired person but I had to go out so I turned it off before I next saved, and I have a fair few battle trophies. :ryan:
If I don't I'll just do another play through just for those achievements. :wacky:
 
Yeah thats a good I dea Ryan although it is really time consuming. I think you should not even miss one crowe or Faize Private action because like I said you are fucked unless you restart. Also dont forget to buy every weapon you see or if you have it already dont. Also dont forget to use IC alot. Certain items are only accessible through the use of IC.
 
Star Ocean: The Last Hope is the next RPG I have to play on Xbox 360. I played Star Ocean III: Till End of the Time and it was great. So Star Ocean: The Last Hope has to be even better.

Yeah its much better than Till the End Of Time imho. It has amazing graphics and a really wesome story line. You need to keep playing to et the hang of it though. dONT STOP. Also I have given up on my chllenge for now I shall start playing again in the middle of November or somethin.
 
I own the game, but its still in its wrapping. I'll get to it eventually, I want to get everything in Vesperia and beat Lost Odyssey. Then I'll play it. There's an order to the madness.

I've kept hearing how its the black sheep of the Star Ocean series. From what I've heard around here and a couple other forums though, is that it's pretty awesome. If anything, after playing the first two SO's on my PSP, Till the End of Time was the black sheep. Nothing inherently wrong with the game, something just always seemed...off.

I saw a video where you can fight Ashlay, which is awesome since I liked him in SO1. It was one of the first reasons I wanted the game XD. The gameplay looked pretty cool as well. Hopefully the character's show some emotion instead of just staring at each other with their wide eyed, blank expressions.
 
I'm done playing STO TLH not because I don't like it, just because its way to long for me. I have 174 hours of gameplay on this game and still haven't even fought Ethereal Queen yet. But the game was awesome:D and i thought STO til the end of time story was good STO TLH topped it off I got my moneys worth:D

While the story itself was not dreadful, but the battle system was nowhere near enticing for me.

It just felt so dull, I haven't even been arsed to try the bonus dungeon since I beat the game at an (apparently) low level. As if fights could take any longer <_<

Looking at every edge of the game isn't something I think I'll ever get around to.

It's not a good game, but it's not a bad one.

playing the game a 2nd time gets a bit boring cuz u know what happens,but theres achievements for playing the game a 2nd time.The story was awesome,so as the characters,but its mostly comic relief,my bro wished more to happen after the ending.well not everyone likes star ocean,its just by square enix.
 
Imo, pretty easy ass game. The ONLY battle that i found challenging was the one where you get Arumat and you have to fight all those fucken pesky shadows. I died SO much in that battle but miraculously had enough sage to win it.

Gabriel i smashed on my 1st attempt, i was lvl 200 at the time though (had full +exp gear equipped and did the metal scumbag lvling trick using bacchus' black hole)

Still not up to Ethereal yet and i have ALOT of trophies to get, i just hit the 20% mark. I was just rushin the 1st playthrough, but its a bummer that you need 50 for each character to hit lvl 255. >.<
 
Star Ocean: The Last Hope is the best RPG on X360 for me. Storyline is great and the characters as well. When Arumat joined in my Party I couldn't lose from anyone. I just need to go to the dungeon and battle with Gabriel Celeste.
 
Meh after all my talk about 1000/1000G ing this game I kinda stopped but I WILL go back to it after im done with 1000/1000G ing Final Fantasy XIII which will take a while and its out on March 9th. Im playing alot of Rpgs atm so my challenge is on pause for a long time! Not giving up though :hmmm:
 
I've been playing this non stop for the last 4 or 5 days. It's pretty epic, definitely better than Star Ocean 3, which I couldn't get into at all.

I'm not going for the achievements or anything on the first playthrough, I hate playing games like that. I'm just going through the story and having fun with it.

I'm playing on Galaxy mode too, and I think it's pretty easy. The only challenging fights have been boss fights, but I've killed each boss on my first attempt so far. The graphics are gorgeous and the battle system is fun. I make Reimi my leader, so I can hit them from afar, and she has some pretty kick ass skills too.

Edge and Lymle...really annoy me, kay? Edge's voice sounds way too old for him, and he makes Cloud look like Yuffie >_> I end up rolling my eyes at him a lot. Lymle...well, she's a great character, and I use her in my team but her constant use of "kay" is...really irritating.

I'm using Reimi, Meracle, Lymle and Bacchus at the moment, but everyone's around level 29. Edge and Reimi are level 30, Lymle and Bacchus are level 29, Faize is level 28 and Meracle is level 27. I'm up to the point where Sarah's been kidnapped and I have to go find her. Got through the desert on the bunny, which was fun. I was just loling the whole time xD

So yeah, I'm loving the game so far. And, I like how, unlike previous Star Ocean games, you don't have to pick and choose who joins your party - that ended up annoying me, since it's always a really hard decision D=
 
I'm playing the International version as well at the moment...asides from the occasional blurring when the camera pans around the characters upon victory and Welch dancing like crazy in Item Creation as opposed to jerking around like a zombie, I'm not noticing much that is different. Of course, I daresay once I get to the end of the game and start trying to synthesise weapons I'm going to go absolutely ballistic, because apparently they've swapped all the food attributes around...
I'm going for 100%...its taken me almost 12 hours to get all the monster data (excluding bosses, of course) on Aeos and Lemuris...got the joys of the Cardianon Mothership and those accursed Dragon Generals coming up, as well. Two on the whole damn ship, if memory serves...2% a kill. Still, its a lot of fun playing the game again, and its keeping me busy until FFXIII, and serves as a long-term project...haven't had one of those in ages. I wish that the game didn't make you unlock Universe and Chaos mode, though...Galaxy really is too easy. Although Chaos is murder for one who blindsides a lot of the time...

I might actually use Meracle this time around, as well...or not. I can't stand her. It'll probably be the standard Bacchus-Arumat-Sarah-Reimi combo for me again. I've become very fond of Bacchus...chain Black Hole Sphere together three times and it beats pretty much everything that isn't a boss. The only problem is it racks up purple bonus board tiles and drains MP horrendously quickly...
 
I am currently playing this on the ps3.

I just freeking love this game, the graphics are stunning. (i dont even have HD tv in the house)and the battles are sweet.

Dislikes:
Not many save spots /full cure spots
Too many females..its not balanced

What I like:
The females are actually far more usefull then the males..well I just think Faize is awesome and Bacchus as well (what he says when winning a battle sounds damn gay to me though and weird something about anticlimatic event -__-
Arumat is one of the coolest chars ive ever seen..
Edge has terrible VA but you get used to it
I think Welch is just Hilarious..sorry but that VA and char is just funny as hell imo

My party:
Reimi (used to be partyleader in beginning) Now its mainly Myuria :griin:
Bacchus = must have
Sarah = just amazing when it comes to my party's health
Arumat :tehe:

I am enjoying the story as well..everyone said the story is meh, IMO the story is excellent when on the different worlds
Edge is EMO though -__- ..I hate Edge but love all the other chars.
