How often do you buy clothes?

I seem to be shopping at least weekly recently... its not even one or two little bits, I managed to spend well over 150 quid the weekend :sad3:

I literally can not fit anything else in my wardrobe, and I filled a bin liner full of shoes last night, and I still have just over 70 pairs :ffs:

I used to buy clothes all the time, in fact I had an underwear obsession for years and now find that I have so many undies that I can't even fit them into my draws. Buuut alas, I now have a home and bills to pay etc etc and don't have the money to buy many clothes :(
I probably buy myself maybe two items a month and thats if I really need them!!
My work gear is getting worn out though, I will have to replace them soon but my god, clothing is so expensive!!!

Yes, underwear collection, that's whay I'm on right now! lol. I always go to H&M for them, they've always got some good ones.

Very seldom...if ever. I'm 23, and I'd estimate that I've bought a single pair of jeans and maybe three t-shirts. The rest of my clothes come in the form of birthday and christmas gifts. Or if somebody randomly gets tired of seeing me in the same rags and decides to buy me clothes.

For the first year and a half after I lost weight, I would buy clothes quite a lot. I suppose this is because new seasons bought new styles in new colours which could be added to old outfits to make new ones.

Now, however, I am extremely selective. Most of what I like in the shops is similar to the clothing I already have. I tend to buy clothes only occasionally, when there's something I need (I had to buy a smart shirt and smart trousers recently, for example), or something very very nice catches my eye.

I only buy clothes when I'm tired of wearing the same thing over again for the past year and a half.

I usually buy new clothes if a pair of pants get torn up or I lose weight and some pants become too baggy. Otherwise I don't really buy any new clothes.

I love clothes and dressing up. Sometimes I would spend hours on barbie doll mode and just mix and match clothes. Last year when floral and lace fashion spread, I don't know why but I'd buy clothes if not everyday, it was every other day. It could have been an addiction or something. :wacky: I find it funny now but back then I knew it had gotten too far. I had zero savings and I needed to stop.

Nowadays, not so much. The last time I bought clothes was a month ago, I bought a maxi dress from Forever 21 (it was too pretty and 30% off, I couldn't just walk away :gonk:). As for shoes, I bought new ballet flats this afternoon but only because I broke mine yesterday. So...relatively, I think I'm doing much better. :wacky:

The last time I bought clothes was earlier this year. And it was only one blouse. Last time I really went clothes shopping was last spring. I don't mind not going shopping often, although it'd be nice if I could.

One of my aunts who are big on clothes will give me a few of her own, so it's not like I hardly have anything to wear (though it feels like it sometimes). My grandma too actually. :wacky: She's very classy with her clothes - one of those ladies that will go on parties and events, so I don't usually go, "Um no it's okay, Grandma, thank you though."

That is a good question, let me think. I would by clothing, I'd say, approximately once every time I need it. Give or take
Pretty much completely this.

I love clothes shopping but I can't afford to just buy a dress or shoes or whatever whenever I want. I grew up in a house where you conserve money and learn to buy what you need and not just whatever you see and want. I last bought clothes on my birthday(August) as a gift from my mom. It was a pair of jeans and two shirts from Forever 21.

:/

Mostly whenever I need new clothes. However I always steal socks from my dad when I see him because I do not have enough socks ever.
Or I get something because I feel like it, it is summer so I need a couple of lighter shirts, so I will get some. And I got a coat for winter.
Men are too sensible to like shopping much.

Hmm... Depends on a number of factors. I usually keep a running tab on my clothes and how long until they wear out.

Recently I just got about a dozen new socks because a] they were on sale and b] the ones I currently have may last until the rest of the semester maybe a bit longer. So I know roughly when my clothes will naturally wear out and buy them when I can get them for a good price. Like how I knew that the jacket I've been wearing since highschool was getting a a bit thin and got a new one last march when they were like 50% off.

Shoes on the other hand... I have to admit I like them. I've got like 12 pair.
