How did Jecht? (read post for rest of ques.)

You know the most confusing part of FFX? If Yuna is the daughter of the summoner of the last calm, then why is tidus, Jecht's son; who helped yuna's dad make the calm from a thousand years ago; so far apart in their children being born? Did Yuna's father live to be 1025 years(my estimate) old until he had Yuna?
 
the last calm wasnt 1000 yrs ago it was 12 wasnt it? and u must keep in mind, tidus technically didnt exist as a human, in a way he was an aeon. and the age difference isnt that big is it?

Whaaaaaa?

Sin rises every 10 years from the last battle against a High Summoner, and Jecht/Tidus came from an alternate plane of existence to Spira - there was no time difference in births (between Yuna and Tidus), even if it was 1000 years 'in the past'... which it wasn't. Yuna was born even before Braska began his pilgrimage.

No. Because Dream Zanarkand doesn't actually exist, it's not 1000 years in the past. Tidus et al only think it is because Zanarkand was destroyed 1000 years before the game began by sin. Yuna was 7 when Braska started his pilgrimage and Tidus was also 7.

I think what he means is Machaen (or however you spell his name) once explained the 'origins' of the aeon. That they're also dreams of the fayth, summoner calls the aeon and the dreams of the fayth spring forth or some shit like that. I think he was also just meaning that Tidus is also like an aeon because he IS a dream of the fayth, just like an aeon. I dunno :wacky: I'm drunk so this post might not make much sense.
 
what i mean is Jecht must have went into the future to work with Braska on the pilgrimage... But who transported Jecht into the future to meet Braska?
 
He didn't go to the future.
Yu Yevon was summoning the Dream Zanarkand, from which Tidus and Jecht came from, from inside of Sin. There was no time travel, Zanarkand WAS destroyed 1000 years ago. Tidus came to Spira on Sin, I assume Jecht came the same way.. I don't recall it being mentioned.

There was no time travel involved, really.
 
YAY someone besides me gets it! oh i would something but i forgot how to the hide thing but yeah no time travel! but.... man! i wish i knew how to do the hide thing because i LOVE this game and i do not want to give anything away

As for this topic there was no time travel involved. The
Zanarkand Tidus and Jecht came from was a dream of the Fayth, and so were all the inhabitants
. Jecht didn't travel
from 1000 years ago, and neither did Tidus
, though we are led to believe that for a long time.

I think Jecht was transported
from Dream Zanarkand into real Spira
when he
got lost at sea and bumped into Sin who was resting underneath the ocean.
He then
woke up in Spira and that is when he was found by Braska and joined the pilgrimage
.

Tidus and Jecht are
from an 'imaginary world' of Zanarkand. There are two kinds of Zanarkand : Zanarkand 1000 years ago and Dream Zanarkand. Tidus and Jecht are from Dream Zanarkand.

Also,
after Braska defeated Sin 10 years prior to the game, Sin respawns. By that time Yuna was 7 years old.

It's mentioned in the game by the boy fayth... Tidus is a dream that became 'more than a dream' when he was touched by Sin. The same thing happened with Jecht.
 
OK! Thank you guys! I think I see all of your points... Basically, Tidus
was never a real person or part of the real world, so everything that happened was just based off of the fayths' dreams: which equals no time travel, it was just all an illusion...
