H-Help ...

Each animal / thing is adapted to survive in its environment with its own limits to the best it can.

With it's size and body shape it evolved to have many legs so it could move more efficiently and faster and being quite close to the ground. I think it's so that it isn't complete fodder to larger animals.

I think that is part of it anyway. I'm sure there are more proper reasons that actually exist, and I haven't just thought up on the spot without knowing anything about spiders. :ness:

xD... How rude. :P I do know what it's like. All I'm saying is that it IS just a spider, if you look at it realistically. xD Doesn't mean I've said you can't be scared. :P

:D I bet the spider has multiplied by 500,000's now, as is bringing his army into the house xD Not to attack... To have a warm place to stay though. 8F
Lol that's me ;)
And holy crap.. I'm all against burning my "lovely" house down but BURN IT WITH FIRE!! *runs*

But there're people who have an actual phobia of them. If I panicked, how do you think they'd be doing? I don't have any phobias, but still ...
I could tell you how they'd be doing if you want :P It's not pretty.

It's just my view on it. -_- I don't think it's needed to act like people don't consider others can have phobias.

I believe it, and I realize this. But it is, and will stay just a spider
Tbh I don't get what you mean. What are you afraid of, just curious. Everyone has something they're afraid of, rational or not.

I know feeling terrified of a spider is daft, but I still am *shrug* can't explain it.

My best friend is terrified of worms and clowns :/ Telling her "it's just a human dressed up" or "it's just a worm, they don't do anything to you" isn't going to magically cure her, so you know. ;)

Anyways I'm off the seriaz buzness. I still think there's no need for the 8 legs as insects get by with 6 (isn't it?), arachnids just get 8 to add to the creep factor. Evil little monsters. If god exists I want a word with him the next time I run away hysterically from a unneccarily huge f-ing spider crawling around my bedroom at night, and trip down the stairs in the dark. Now there's a funny mental image.

It's mating season in the Autumn, so if I see one it's getting chucked out (via my dad lol). If they want to stay in my house, at least contribute to the rent. Cheap buggars. XD

I think a flamefrower would do the trick ;)

ps. fan of Cheryl by any chance? me too

The phrase "I tried blowing them" made me giggle.

Um. Arachnophobia is one of the very few phobias that I can understand, to a degree. Although personally, I'm a bit weird when it comes to spiders. The tiny little ones I don't mind at all. Hell, I've let them crawl onto my hand and run around on it before, before flicking them off. (I'm talking like... a few millimeters long ones) The large ones fascinate me. But the middle-sized ones are bloody disgusting and creepy.

Ilet spiders live, I like them. I'll let them crawl on my hand and what not. They trap flies and other flying hazards, they're not digging in my food and they keep to their own business.

There is something elegant and mature to me about spiders. All business, can actually be considered a hunter, not a parasite and can weave. Sounds good to me for a tiny corner in my room.
