Nintendo Good Wii Games

I'm currently quite amused by Cooking Mama. After all, it seems that the recipes in there might very well be usable in reality! No doubt, I'd like to try it out if i get a chance to though.

Now I've got my Christmas wii goodies in, I can recommend Wii Fit, if you've got the board. Great stuff to keep you healthy!

Also Animal Crossing, especially if you love the series already!

Samba De Amigo is fast, brilliant, epic LOLs fun. You MUST buy the maraccas to use while playing - they only cost a tenner, but you can put stickers on them, and they make noises too like proper maraccas XD

A good wii game will be well if you like the tales series a good wii game would be Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the new world. I heard there will be other tales wii games somewhere.

I'd make a new thread but there's not much point sooooo revived

Just got a Wii myself, sooo asking pretty much the same question, are the games mentioned still worth getting...? Anything I should be looking forward to?

Mostly into the RPG's or anything I could have fun with online or with friends who aren't really into gaming - but would enjoy...?

I have Mario KArt and Wii Sports (Danny loves that one, but the novelty is wearing off becuase Im shit at it <_<)

I also want Wii Fit. is taht worth forking out for.....?

Animal Crossing is a must-buy, really. It's a simple, easy game to pick up, but it's one of the most scarily-addictive things of all time. It really really is.

Super Smash Brother Brawl is also a really fun game, but, it's more fun to play with someone else rather than play against the computer.

I got a Wii for Christmas. The only games I have is Wii Sports, Game Party, and Sega Superstar Tennis. Has anyone played Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity for the Wii yet? I keep eyeing it now and then when I go to the video store. The other games I rented since I got my Wii were NIGHTS, SSX, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09, Sonic Unleased, Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Paper Mario. I didn't like NIGHTS, SSX, and Tiger Woods (I prefered TW PGA 06 on my brother's Xbox 360 instead). Sonic Unleased was failry good for the time I played it. Same for SMG AND SPM.

Games that I like.

Super Paper Mario

Twilight Princess: If you like Zelda games this is a good one.

The New Super Mario Bros. Four players can play at once. And you can be an asshole by jumping on your friends head in mid air and make them fall down a gap ;)

Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2. Great Mario games for the system.

Wii Fit. lol fun to play with friends when you are drinking. Especially the balance games. And it is good to use if you want to exercise and can't make it to a gym or are pressed for time.

Super Smash Bros. It's a fun fighting game that uses many nintendo characters.

Super Mario Strikers. It's a fun sports game with the Mario characters.

Metroid Prime. If you like the metroid series you'll like this. And I found it to be a good game.

Mario Cart. Lol you don't need a WiiWheel but it's fun to have one.

Well, say what you want about the Wii. It actually does have some interesting and great games. It's just too bad shops prefer to stock things like "Let's Dance" instead (honestly if you want to dance, can't you do it outside of a video game?) Here are mine:
  • Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - Good old Zelda. It's mature in appearance, it's challenging, it actually has a decent storyline. Hyrule is quite a large place to look around and the motion controls aren't too bad.
  • Super Mario Galaxy - I've loved all the Mario games and this one is no exception at all. It's just crazy (in a nice way) having this kind of setting and trying to dodge giant Bullet Bills etc.
  • Okami - This one is criminally overlooked. Poor Amaterasu. Still, it's a beautiful game and an absolutely joy to play. Plus it can be found cheaply. :andry:
  • Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Nothing better than seeing Pikachu trying to take on Solid Snake. xD It's great fun as well.
  • Wii Sports - It came free with my Wii and it's a great way to pass the time for about 15 minutes or so.
  • Metroid Prime 3: Corruption - Something different on the Wii: an actual good shooter! Plus with the puzzle solving aspects, you do need some brains to play it as well. xD
  • Virtual Console games e.g. Secret of Mana, ActRaiser, Ocarina of Time

Resident Evil 4 - fantastic Wii edition of a classic RE game
Little King's Story - overlooked RTS style game with nice graphics and story
Zack & Wiki - another sadly overlooked puzzle game with great cartoony and hilarous animations
Grand Slam Tennis - good tennis game

To add a few more to check out.

No More Heros
Mad World
House of Dead
Little Kings Story
Muramasa: The Demon Blade (it's 2D but it is awesome)

I'm going to put in the good word for Monster Hunter Tri - it really is the most horrendously addictive online game ever. Its a tad lacklustre offline, so if you don't have the Nintendo WFC you probably shouldn't buy it, but if you can get online its a must-have. Get three easygoing, reasonably skilled players (its not as hard to do as you may think) and get into a match with one of the bigger monsters (Lagiacrus is the signature monster, but Jhen Mohran is definetely far more epic) and you can easily spend hours on it and barely notice.

Other games I'd recommend have already been mentioned - Metroid Prime (get the trilogy, Corruption is extremely disappointing. The first two with Wii controls work really well), Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World (its an unnecessary sequel, but its pretty good if you can ignore the changed voice actors for some of the characters) and Animal Crossing (although that can get boring if you have a short attention span...but you should experience K.K. singing at least once. XD).

Overlord: Dark Legends is definetely worth a look-in, as well. Its not quite as long as the other Overlord games, but its just as humourous and I'd say that the Wii controls actually work better than the PS3/360 controls once you've gotten used to them. Its something of an overlooked gem.

I know this topic is really old and you probably won't look at it again, but one of my favorite games on wii that hasn't been listed yet is Trauma Center: Second Opinion. It's a surgery game, and is a lot of fun. Atleast for me anyway.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl definitely! that was my favorite on the system
