i love to go out once in a while and just drive, by myself, with music blasting*. where i'm driving doesn't really matter, it's the act of driving that i enjoy. my area is mostly suburbs and highways, which i find beautiful in their own right, contrary to what most people seem to think of them.

Do you go for cruises? waste of gas, but otherwise some of the best hours i've spent in my free time.

*i listen to: anime OSTs, game OSTs, random electronica (trance, house), rock, pop, some hip-hop, reggae, new age, R & B, and others - anything that sounds good.

I used to when I got really bored or pissed off. There's a place I like to go up in the hills which are curvy and fun to speed up around and blast my music, but I don't really do that anymore unless I'm actually going somewhere.

Yeah, I do it quite a lot. People complain that it's a waste of gas, wear on tires, puttin' miles on the car. Whatever, I enjoy it.

I used to really like just going out to drive about. I found it really relaxing for those times when I was quite stressed. There are a lot of country roads in the area where I live and a lot of them are good fun to drive on, so I used to just go out and drive for a couple hours to clear my head.

I miss being able to drive. :sad3:

I don't often go out for drives seeing as I don't like wasting petrol but when I'm really annoyed I will go out and have a drive just to get out and clear my head.

It works for me and I don't think at those times that I'm wasting petrol or anything.

I often just drive out further into the country where it's quiet and it's at those times that I never turn on my car stereo. I like the quiet at those times.

Not often as often as I probably should. I especially love it when there's a nice breeze. Just roll down the window and ahhh x] it feels nice. I don't like to aste gas and that's why I don't do it often but, sometimes it really helps clear my head a bit.

Honestly, I'm not a fan of driving. I even have a nice car to drive with, and if it wasn't a sports car, I'd dislike driving even more. :lew: It's not bad to hit the open road and rip through the gears, but it's not something I enjoy doing all the time. And music is a must! I'll listen to anything really, so long as it's relaxing. I enjoy driving at night time a lot more. Less traffic to deal with and the roads look nicer with the lights on as opposed to the sun lighting it up. :hmmm: Maybe an odd look at it, but that's how I feel.

I wish I could, but alas I cant drive :/ My last ex use to take me on late night cruises, go and look at the stars in the countryside or late shop in Asda XD I miss stuff like that.

I spent a lot of time in the summer between my senior year of high school and freshman year of college just driving around - it became addicting. Some of it nostaligic since I would be leaving home more or less for good, but for some reason, there's something more impactful listening to music in the car then when you're sitting on your bum.
