Hello all!

I just found this forum after looking around for one specifically dedicated to Final Fantasy. I was a part of a general RPG forum for quite a while when I was younger and it became my online home. I really enjoyed my time there but it was eventually gone. As for Final Fantasy, I grew up with it. The series influenced much of my childhood and adolescence. From being too young to play but watching my older brother play for hours on end in his room, to playing myself, to jamming out to Nobuo's brilliant music in the High School band room, and so on, I was in absolute love. I used to write up my own FF quizzes according to difficulty level. i think it's what got me through a lot of years actually. As an adult, life gets busier and you find yourself losing track of passions from younger days. Though not ever completely lost, Final Fantasy has again become a huge part of my life. i recently picked up FFXII where I left off years ago and have a new appreciation for the gameplay. Currently, i am grinding it out pretty hard whenever I get the chance. I want to rekindle my love and expertise for the franchise al over again. Most of my heart belongs to the old stories and to it's music. I hope you'll welcome me even if the newer games are still somewhat lost on me. I have much discovery to make and I would like a community to do it with.

Glad to see you've got (back) into FFXII. I'm the forum's pro-FFXII representative, and Sprout is my mortal enemy in that regard.
 
I feel that after I spent so many years mindlessly grinding away the hours on WoW, I've been able to come back to FFXII with a little more patience for the smaller role character development plays throughout. I'm still not very far into it so it remains to be seen if it picks up or not in that regard. I hear that the political unfoldings play a big part and I do enjoy that. it's just one of the reasons FFT is one of my favorites! :P Thanks guys! Nice to meetcha! I'll keep you posted on my opinions of FFXII.
 
Would you also like to mindlessly grind away for countless hours on FFXIV? We're always recruiting! :awesome:
 
I SO would. I almost bought it yesterday actually. I should wait until I have a liiil more money is all. Then I shall join your forces!
 
Welcome fellow Cali resident! Glad you found us. We've been around since 2006 so most of us that are left here have known each other for years. Feels like home.

We'd love to have you on board with our FFXIV crew when you do get around to purchasing it. =] But it's good that you're waiting for a bit. Spend some time in the community first and become familiar with the members here. When you do finally immerse yourself in the game, there's something unique with exploring and going on a journey with people you know. :)

I hope that didn't come out weird.

Indeed welcome to FFF. Between here and FFXIV you're never too far from a good friend. Also on a point about XII .. I enjoyed the game overall though I still have ALOT left to do (Quietly and patiently waiting for the Remaster). So anyways look forward to seeing you around. (I've been here since 09 but only recently opened my mouth on the forums glad I did of that you can be sure.)
