So we saw the pretty sweet looking intro FMV in FFX with Otherworld rockin' the stage and players getting kicked out of the Blitzball Sphere when the action got rough, Sin hit, and all that good jazz.

However, aside from the intro, was there any other FMV's that made you just, sit in awe of the graphics in FFX for the PS2?

Mine would have to be when Sin strikes Kilika right before Sunrise. Just the effects of the water, NPC's involved in the event, and the minute detail in even the planks of the boardwalks being ripped out one by one and swirling around like they were Hurricane-bound.

Second would have to be "Metropolis" when Seymour takes the party back to Zanarkand. Just stunning all around. Even the characters in your party are amazed at the beauty.

Final Fantasy X, without question, has had some of the best FMVs of any Final Fantasy game I've ever played. (I considered Dirge to have great FMVs too though) I think some of my favorites had to be:

1. Luca Harbor
Watching Tidus ride the ship into the Luca harbor took my breathe away the first time I saw it. I'm not entirely sure why I love this cinema but it truly grabbed me. Maybe it was my love of the sea or sailing but it was really awe inspiring.

2. Let the Games Begin
It was incredibly cool watching the Blitzspehere fill. They did some really cool things to show the granduer of the specticle. The picture I picked shows that very well, I think. The two people standing on the balcony really show how big the hydrosphere is. I think that's cool.

3. Ex-Machina
The Al-Bhed machina fight against Sin on the Mi'hen Highroads. I thought that was epic. Sin's barrier against the might of the machina's lightning weapon. When I was watching it for the first time I truly didn't know the outcome of that fight. I thought either side could take it and the story could turn in either direction. It was an amazing battle.

4. Leaving Home
I love when they got on the airship to leave Home. Cid decides the only way to leave home is to blast it to rubble so they unleash a barrage of missles onto their own home. It was great watching the burst of bombs fly forth from the great ship.

5. Gravity Sucks
The final truly great FMV, in my opinion, is when Sin creates the huge gravity bomb and gashes the earth and sea alike in all directions. The bomb flying outward looked awesome... but the sea clashing back together was just as impressive.

Mine would be Yuna sending the people of Kilika. I love that scene and the graphics were brilliant. Such a vast range of colours.

Love it when the fire changes colour too.

The Sending was the first FMV in FFX that really awed me, it was simple, yet graphically beautiful, and it really sticks in my mind as a beautiful, poignant and touching scene, and watching it for the first time, you just know that FFX is going to be an awesome game.

One of the main reasons why i loved FFX so much was the amazing FMV's in the game. The graphics were amazing for the PS2.

1. The Sending.
The sending was an amazing scene. There was so many colours flowing everywhere. It was very touching scene and its one of my top Favourites.

2. Love Scene.
Kind of a small picture, but its the scene where
Tidus and Yuna kiss in the pool of water
. One of the best graphical scenes i have ever seen.

3. Ending.
This was another of my favourites because it was sooo
sad because Tidus was leaving and Yuna didn't want him to go. I actually teared up watching this.
The FMV was quiet amazing to watch. Again the graphics were just amazing.

Agreed, the ending is excellent. It's not just the FMV but everything about the ending was great.

Another one of my favourites is when Tidus discovers that
Yuna must die to defeat sin.
The whole game was building up to that revalation. The mess that Home is in mirrors Tidus' state of mind.

Lake Macalania's scene was beautiful, as were the wedding and Operation: Mi'ihen scenes. I'd have said the ending --which was beautiful indeed-- but something was off about the graphics, there. I might just be looking at them too carefully but there's a really plastic/synthetic/pixelated feel to it (not sure I can combine those descriptions into one but I've done it anyway), whereas I forgot I was playing a game during the other scenes.

I really liked the operation Miihen one, where the water gets that hole thing blown through it, its epic, sins attacks in FMV always made me go woah, any kind of destructive FMV grabs me everytime. The beginning was amazing aswel, the music just added to it and made it epic. If only Aurons sending got an FMV, it was soooo worthy -_-

My favourite is Yuna performing the Sending. The graphics are stunning and it also is very moving (with a little help from the music, which is perfect for that scene). Also I like how it focuses on Tidus, and you can see that he's beginning to understand how much death and grief sin can bring, and why the Summoners are so important. He's beginning to understand the new world he's in, and falling in love with yuna.
I liked a lot of other AMVs, but the two I remember the best (and thus, I supposed, were the most impressive to me) are:

-the scene in which Seymour shows to our heroes the ancient Zanarkand. It's beautifully done, and also I love how the reactions of everyone were shoved. I liked Lulu because not much time before she said to Tidus that it's not like she doesen't belive to his story, but just that she doesn't know Zanarkand, and thus she can't say if his words are true or not. She saws that ancient Zanarkand was like Tidus told, so I like a lot how she was showed, thinking about that.

-Operation Mi'hen: it was another really sad scene, especially when you see the Crusaders wiped out in that white flash of light... and afterwards (not in the amv if I remember well) Tidus comment "People die, and Yuna dances. When will she stop dancing? When will it stop?". It showed to the player that now Tidus was completely dedicated to defeat Sin.

If only Aurons sending got an FMV, it was soooo worthy -_-
I agree with you, but since he's my favourite FFX character It's not an objective opinion :D But that would have been awesome, they could incorporate it in the ending video.

I loved the scene where Yuna preformed the sending and the fmv sequence was awesome. I love the love scene it was so beautiful. The fmv sequences were all really good. The beggining when Tidus is playing blitzball is awesome. In the love scene Suteki Da ne the song is just beautiful.

Yuna performing the Sending is the one that stood out to me the most the first time I watched it. The way she walked across the water, the way it rippled as if it were merely dew drops falling on it's surface. Then when she began her dance, the way it just gushed up from underneath her like a gorgeous fountain and just held her up as she dances. The way the flames around Kilika turned blue, and the way the pyreflies ascended to the Farplane. All of it was just astounding to me. Such an amazingly beautiful FMV that really took my breath away.

The Lake Macalania scene is just beautifully done. Especially since it's done at night, but with all the pyreflies, the sparkling of the crystals that surrounded them, the shimmering of the water, and the whole underwater kissing was just so well executed. That's another scene that I especially love.

Another one that I really love watching is the Operation Mi'ihen FMVs. Sad as it was it really showed the power that Sin held and how could he just wipe out the Crusaders and Al Bhed as if they were nothing but little ants under his feet. The way they just totally seemed to disappear in thin air, vaporize into nothing but little black particles was just...wow.

And of course last but not least, Metropolis...wow, just WOW. I love seeing this one, it almost gives you the feeling like you're in space or something. It's just phenomenal.

The sending in Kilika really stood out to me, I loved the way Yuna walked on the water and how the water rose. That scene just made me think "wow, this game is going to be fucking epic!".

Another scene I liked was the scene at Luca when Seymour summoned Anima and Anima killed all the fiends. I just thought to myself "wow that thing is cool, it looks pretty strong....I hope I don't have to fight it later".

The Final scene which really stood out to me was the scene at Macalania, I really loved all the crazy colours and I thought it was just beautiful visually.
