First video game

My first game for the PS1 was... Disney's Dinosaur. ¬_¬

I was a sad sad child. :P

It WAS quite challenging at the end though. :P

At least I thought so.

Space Invaders on my ol' Atari 2600. My brother owns it, and i used to played.
I still love that game xD

I almost cry over when i play it again on the PSP xD Soo nostalgic!

What was the first video game you played after buying your first console?

Mine was Tekken 3 for PS.

After buying my first console? As in, the console I bought and not the one my parents got me for Christmas?

Well, the first system I actually bought for myself was the Playstation 2. Before then, I was cheap and played what ever system my brother had. Sometimes I would buy games for myself to play, but usually I just played whatever he had.

The first game I bought for the Playstation 2 was Kingdom Hearts. That's actually the reason I bought the system. My boyfriend kept telling me how awesome the game was, so I finally went out and just got myself the system.

But if you mean the first video game I ever played, that would probably be Duck Hunt for the NES. :)

Either Super Mario Land or Tetris on the original Game Boy bought in 1990, can't recall which one was included in the bundle. Ah...the good ol' monotonous beeps and blips.

Crash Bandicoot for the Playstation. I'd waited for years for a games console, and when I got this, my first ever game, I couldnt beleive it! I've loved the Crash series ever since because of this.

Mario for Nintendo. I feel so old saying that considering how long ago that came out, Lol.

Lol... Don't worry about it. I SHOULD have gone through a Nintendo stage in my life, but I only got into gaming realy late (about 10 years old when I got my Playstation), so I didn't have the opportunity. Only afterwards did I go back to games like Mario.

And catchy! I can still whistle the music from the Tetris of the GB. I'll never forget the loop of that game xD

:: keeps whistling ::

It's strange that despite not having touched these games for at least a decade, the stage music and sfx plays ever so resoundingly in my head. Whereas, if you asked me about the recent hits like say God of War or Halo, I could hardly remember any track from them. Such is the melodic power of these 8-bit compositions, once you hear them they'll be etched into memory…forever.

I think what it is with earlier music is that composers had to work harder to make sure that the music sounded good, giving the naf quality of the file. Whereas now technology allows better sound quality which means composers perhaps have gotten a little lazy.. :shame: Perhaps!

Mine was something like, Spyro or Crash Bandicoot.

I love them games. Spyro 3 was epic. So was Crash Team Racing. :P

My first video game was Final Fantasy II for SNES. This is how I feel in love with the whole series. The gameplay, music, and storylines always keep me entertain.

my first game was Super Mario Bros for the SNES, but my second game was FFVII, which got me completely hooked into FF. Super Mario was a lot of fun, but it was easy, like most Mario games are. FF was extremely difficult for me though, (still is, come to think of it), so difficult, that i have never beaten an FF game in my life. but i got hooked onto FF, and i can now whistle any FF song i have heard.

*whistles to FFIX random battle theme*

This is sad, but my first games were Donkey Kong Land 2 and Mega Man 2 for the Gameboy, I got them at the same time. That's right, I had a Gameboy Pocket (special ice blue color, I still own it) before I had an actual console. I think I was 6 or 7 at the time. And it took me years before I managed to beat MM2, that game was hard, especially considering how little I was. But I loved that game to death anyway, and still love the series, even though I still suck most of the games :wacky:
