My first siggy on paint shop pro XI, not great, would like to find some great places for some tutorials.

Disgusting right? :gonk:

I do like the idea behind it. Jecht reaching out for Tidus almost as if he is coming out of
Sin himself to drag him to Spira
. I do think the lighting placement i good too. Everything is sort of being sucked towards Jecht which is pretty cool.

I think it is a little bit too big though and there is a lot of empty space. And I think that Tidus is a little bit too big in comparison to Jecht.

But I think it is a pretty epic idea and an awesome first attempt. Keep it up! :awesome:

This is a decent start for a beginner. =)

The background is nice and clean with a simple spiral effect and the gradient used is a nice touch in order for it not too come across as too plain.

I like how you placed Jecht in the middle as though he's about to suck you into some unknown part of the world. XD

The image of Tidus is blended slightly I can see, but needs a tad more work in order to get rid of the rough edges around his hair.

I would suggest only using one image though, in order to only have one focal point happening.

I would also recommend working with smaller sized signatures in order not to have too much empty floating space in your tag. If you intend to make good use of the space available then it's not a problem, but I find that most people work better with smaller sized signatures when they're first starting out. Otherwise they try to fill in the empty space and instead overload it with too many effects and such.

The text is nice too. It's placed fairly well and the font chosen is nice and clean and I like how you stroked it with black around the outside.

Borders are always good to round the signature off nicely. I find that a simple one pixel white border always looks the best. =)

Well done for your first go at this and keep it up!

Wow thank you. Both of you are very nice and I will take what you said and make it work.

I'm having a hard time with blending edges of images, the hair is difficult. But i cannot find a website that shows me what kinds of tools to use the best.

I just noticed as well that the markings for the background remind me of some of the markings found in the temples of Spira. Sweeet. lol

I'll be making another one today, a little bit smaller, and hopefully this one will be good.

I also did love how i used jecht in the middle, in the story after you find out jetch is sin, tidus is in save mode and also my father was mean to me.... so his in this siggy his father is reaching out for him and tidus is kinda ignoring it.

I'd love to make a remake of this sig sometime in the future.

Thank you guys!

This is used in gimp, it seems a little easier to use than paint shop pro XI.

Smaller, one image used, not to much empty space, go Auron. :randompoke:

Nice one, thats a big step up from your first attempt.
Nice Background u have there, the colours are nice and they go pretty well with the render.
Try and watch ur render placement. Avoid putting them right at the end of your sigs. Search ''rule of third''s in google and ul get a good idea of how to place an image in a sig. I like the font uv chosen for the text but i think you should reduce the size on it. Text usually looks better aswell when its not in the corner.
ALL in all though its a MASSIVE step up from your previous. Great job mate.

Thanks very much, the first one I made was a bit extreme, I liked how I used the images some, but it was blah to big and to much free space, which is why I'll be remaking it sometime.

Again thank you, I will take what you said and make a better sig again sometime maybe later or tomorrow.

That's actually pretty good for a start. =]

I see nice background there and I like the idea of the sig, Imma just say a few things

1. The sig is quite big, might like to resize it or work on a bit smaller tags >_>
2. I know you don't have a photoshop since you said you worked on paint something I cba looking up >_> just try something different on the background like add a bit of things.
3. Tidus is far far far far to the right :gasp: and I have no idea what is that thing he has around his hair >_>
4. Text is quite good but try to place it closer to the focal.

That's all >_>

What do you think of my second signature in gimp?

Oh I just saw it :gasp:

Pretty much better tbqh, the border is a bit too big and the text needs work, also try to not place your render far on the side, most likely close to the center, the background is good seeing it was made by GIMP

This one is a great improvement from the last. =)

The background is really well done to start off with. Lovely blending of the colours within it.

It's good that you've only used one image. You need to create a focal point and having too many images can just look too messy and people sort of don't know where to look. =P

I would suggest that you place Auron more into the centre in order to create a better focal point. Then place the text even closer to Auron, so that neither is pulling the attention away from each other.

I think that the text would look better if it were smaller and a more neater font. Then try to blend Auron more into the background so that he becomes a part of it in a way, as opposed to looking just slapped on over the top of the background.

As for the border, one pixel borders tend to look better on most signatures. As I said before:

I find that a simple one pixel white border always looks the best.

You'l find that it makes the signature stand out more too. =)

Well done on your efforts!
