I started replaying FFVII a few days ago and decided to do some speedpaints along the way. Here's the first one...

More to follow, I guess. :)

Awesome work, I bet it took quite a while and a few tries, no?
Can't wait to see more. =)

Epic, I love it, I really like the way you shade -envy-

Can't wait to see more

And am i taking the 'speedpain' thing to literal....? Because that makes it 10x more impressive if you have knocked that out in 10 minutes xD

Wow. :O I like your style.
Keep it up! And hey, if that came from you starting to replay FF7, then I can't wait to see what else you come up with!
Good work.

Hey not bad XD

That facility in VIII disc 2 was the bomb!

speed painting is great. Keep it up :)

Cheers, guys - glad you like it. Hopefully I'll have time to do some more this week.

The Reigning Deity: Speedpaints are usually classed as something done in under 3 hours in one sitting. I usually spend around 1-2 hours. I think this one took roughly an hour and a half? Can't remember. :)

That's fantastic.

The gun looks a bit weird and the soldier seems to be quite short, but overall it's a very good picture. Fantastic textures too.

Kweh!: Yeah, I was kinda stuck between keeping it cartoonish VII style and something a little more realistic. The shoulder pad really throws the anatomy though. :)

Oh yeah, love the new one. In the middle of playing FF7 myself so Im digging it. I mean this as no offense, but your background work seems to be quite a bit better than your character work. Im not saying the characters are bad, just that to me the backgrounds stand out a bit more. This is not a bad thing, some people are better at Characters, and some are better at backgrounds, buildings an such.
I myself am more of a character person. And need to work significantly on my backgrounds and environments.

I just love this whatever techinque you 're using!
Makes it have an old Picasso feel i don't know why :wacky:
I wanna see the Turks painted in that way

The Mako Reactor scene looks briliant!!!

Wow, amazing work and phenomenal detail. Especially for speed painting. Just wow! I'd love to borrow some of that technique of yours. :P I can't wait to see more!
