Which Final Fantasy Would You Most Like To See On The PlayStation3?

Just in case you haven't heard, Final Fantasy Producer, Yoshinori Kitase has said "if there was a strong voice coming through from the users asking for such porting, then obviously we would seriously consider [a Final Fantasy HD Collection]"

So as a result, we all need to make noise. start/sign petitions, start/join facebook pages, create and comment on youtube videos.
Leave your message for Square Enix and Yoshinori Kitase here about why you believe they should consider such porting.


Here are my reasons as to why they need to bring out an HD Collection:
  • The PS3 can't play PS2 games, so I can't play FFX
  • The PS3 can't play some PS1 games, including FFVIII (my absolute favourite game of all time)
  • The PS2 looks horrible on large, flat screen TVs
  • I'm looking for any reason at all to play Classic Final Fantasy's again
  • All of us here want Classic Final Fantasy trophies ;)
  • It's money in YOUR pocket, Kitase :whistle:
I know that Square Enix have a lot on their plate at the moment with Kingdom Hearts 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Versus XIII and XIV. But a simple port wouldn't take up a lot of time, resources or money, would it?

I haven't included I-VI in the poll since they've already been remade for other consoles, these are the only ones they haven't remade yet. I know that VII, VIII and IX are available on the PSN store, but they don't really count since they're just direct ports over to the PS3 and are there more for use on the PSP. They need to be optimized for PS3 and HDTV!

Wasn't there something just like this about FFVII? I honestly don't see this going far, because it's hard to beat the fanboyism behind the titan of VII while it had the same "official" thing going. :lew:

If it does happen, I'll be amazed and it will be known that I was wrong, but.... :hmmm:
 
I would like to see more of FFVIII :)
But if it's an 'HD Collection' I'd like to see VII, VIII, IX and X. That would make my decade :D
 
XII, they can stitch together those broken up maps so we don't have to run into a black screen every 5 seconds if we are walking anywhere. Also add in all the zodiac edition features and the game is instantly 2 points out of 10 better! I'm sure it would look almost as good as 13 with an extra bit of polish too, the graphics were as well done as most current gen games but they were simply on the ps2 engine.

My favorite game is X which I would like to see get Hd remade too but it simply doesn't need it as much as any of the others.

VII is one of the worst looking games I've ever played in my life (yes I do love it anyway, no I'm not obsessed with graphics and yes I am taking into consideration the time of its release obviously) and is easily the ugliest FF, but I'd rather that would get properly remade.
 
I really don't want this right now, as cool of an idea as it is. Square Enix has been rehashing a lot of things as of late and instead I'd like to see them use some of that creative talent they've been hiding since The World Ends With You to create some new series. Plus they seem to be poor at managing their time with their projects as it is, lets not give them even more of a reason to delay anything for a few decades.

With that being said: If it ever came to fruition, it would HAVE to be the PS1 era FF games. The fans would be frothing at the mouth for that, seriously.
 
Well all the images I have seen of other HD collections hasn't impressed me at all, they aren't updating textures or anything at all. If a more extreme overhaul is being considered than just making them a barely noticeable definition, I would like a X/X-2 bundle.
 
PS1 HD remakes are just plain boring..they are exactly the same freeking games with a slightly better frame...well woopty doo. I rather they REBUILD the ps1 and ps2 classics in HD for the ps3..so VA's including etc.. :ohoho:

Yeah FFX and X-2 and FF12 would be awesome indeed in HD.
 
I wouldn't mind the PS2 era FF games remade in HD with trophies, just as long as they're the International versions. This isn't quite as important for FFXII, which is awesome with or without the Zodiac Job Board System, but for FFX it is absolutely essential, because the only challenge in the game is in the Dark Aeons, and for FFX-2 it would be nice, if only for a little variety...plus there are superbosses in it I'd love to fight.

I don't see how the PS1 era FF games would be possible without a complete rehash, because let's face it, the graphics are shit when compared to those in the current generation; short of putting them on the 3DS, they couldn't do much to them. Besides, they're already on the PSN, so re-releasing them in HD would be a bit pointless...not to mention highly aggravating.
 
Not the PS1 classics. They would need to be rebuilt. I was very disappointed in the OoT remaster, it hardly looked any different. Anyway, All the Ps2 ones could be worthwhile.
 
I'm actually more interested in collecting the trophies from these HD final fantasy's more than anything. If FFX HD did make it's way here, I'd get it for the trophies. I've 100% the game so many times, a plat would be nothing short of easy for me.
