I never realised how alike Tifa and Rinoa appear actually.
Which is kinda funny considering Tifa is my favorite lead female and Rinoa is my least favorite.
and I'm sorry, I refuse to see the similiarities between Lightning and Cloud it seems. >_>;;;

I can see it in the face and the eyes, but then im convinced every character has the same bloody head design anyway

well i know it has probably been stated to hell and back,
well there is the obviose fact that Loz, Yazoo and kadaj all look like Sephiroth, but with different hair styles. . . but that is because they are remnents of him.

The reason the characters all look alike is because they're all created by Nomura, and he's been recycling his designs. There's a thread on this with a huge lit of characters that look alike, I'll try and find it to post more examples.

I know how u feel like i just noticed it most recently and if u kind find a pic were lightning and cloud have the same posture u might see actually i only got the idea of lightning and cloud in a video in youtube called "Lightning is Gender confuse"or sumting and there they actually overlapped their pix and nothing changed xcept 4 da hair and other non-face stuff

It's al one big Final Fantasy family. I don't mind actually. Their characters are nothing alike. And I didn't really notice before. Doesn't stop me from playing the games.
Now that I think about it, I actually see the same thing in Manga's and Anime that come from the same artist. They all look alike. And Dragonball characters had the same design as Dragon Quest characters. My sister is an artist and her drawings are all pretty similar.
So its not a coincidence that they look alike. Its the artist that made them that's the same.

Lightning was meant to be similar to Cloud. Her design concept was to be a female version of Cloud.
Krysta's right. All my (doodled) drawings I do during classes all look quite similar so it's no big deal.
