FFXIII: Which Eidolon is strongest?

There are six Eidolon's in Final Fantasy XIII and they each belong to a specific character:
  • Odin - Lightning
  • Brynhildr - Sazh
  • Shiva - Snow
  • Bahamut - Fang
  • Alexander - Hope
  • Hecatoncheir - Vanille
But which do you find the strongest?

It's a bit difficult to tell right now as I haven't played the game yet. But I've narrowed it down to either Alexander or Bahamut.

Alexander's Gestalt Form is basically a castle/fortress-like structure with turrets able to attack the enemy. Being able to attack and defend at the same time is rather impressive - he can resist enemy attacks while blasting adversaries. It does however, depend how strong Alexander's defence will be.

Bahamut because - he's Bahamut. In FFIX, it and Alexander faced off resulting in huge damage around them - and I imagine it will be a powerful creature as well in FFXIII. It can turn into an aerial vehicle, which is a huge advantage for Fang. Bahamut generally inflicts a lot of pain as well.
 
Well Bahamut always had the title of the 'best/ strongest' summon and whatnot. I can't really say for sure though it depends. Like their STATS from the start their abilities and whatnot. It also depends whether or not you train them.

I guess Bahamut in general has always been ranked higher and has higher stats then the others so i guess him.
 
It's dependant on the summoner, the stronger the summoner the stronger the Eidolon. So say Lightning is the strongest in your party, then Odin will be too. Plus it depends on how much you summon them, the more times you summon them to fight the stronger their finishing attack becomes :monster:

i would have to agree here, Bahamut is known in the FF Series as king of dragons or beasts and Alexander uses the element of holy which is been regarded as the most powerful element in the final fantasy games (FFVII & FFIX) so it has to be between them 2
 
I can't really say which one in this game will be stronger, but I've always been a Bahamut fan and would have to base my vote on personal bias.

Alexander however I loved his appearance in FFIX so I could be leaning that way and am very interested to see how this Eidolon turns out to be in FFXIII. Otherwise, it should make for an interesting part of the game seeing how different they do Summons in this game.
 
I'm sure it will be Bahamut from that group. He's usually one of the strongest IF not the the strongest in all final fantasy games, so I am assuming he will be.
 
strongest fluff wise, bahamut, bahamut SIN being better.
in FXIII like one of the posters said, it depends on how strong the summoner is and how often the eidolon is summoned. So in FFXIII, my opinion would either be ODIN or Hecatoncheir
 
Alexander *no bias :tehe:*

I think in a long, drawn out fight, Alexander wins easily. He is incredibly tough, cannot be stunned (probably from how fricking huge he is) and he can turn into a castle wall while you fire lasers off on the enemy. From the experience of using summons, he seems to have a very easy time staggering opponents too, so he's my strongest by far :wacky:
 
Ummm I have not got Hecatoncheir yet but Ill say Alexander. I only summoned him once and holy sit he is frickin strong! His hestalt mode is pretty epic. He turns into Castles and his finishing move is Divine judgement. Well Ill say Alexander in strenght and defense cause he is really huge. Bahamut however has Megaflare which is so frickin strong! Still Alexander though. But as Ryan said it all depends how strong your member is.
 
Speaking of Eidolons, Odin kicked my ass, soooo many times! I had to retry at least 8 different times and I knew what I had to do each time. I got soo close a couple times but my timer ran out twice when i was about to obtain him.

Finally just got him, but that was one of the hardest RPG battles I've played in a long time. Dead serious.
 
I have yet to use Sazh, Vanille, or Hope's eidolon, but I doubt any of them are going to be as strong as Bahumat. He's saved me several times already in battles where Shiva and Odin barely helped any.

Hopefully Vanille's eidolon will be strong though, since it took me nearly ten tries until I finally killed him -___- Anything that took that much time better be worth the effort.
 
definatly bahamut. he just destroys everything. i think odin has the best summoning:P
 
In gesalt, there are times when I miss with Bahumat. I like Alexander a lot, mainly because his moves are so dominating. Fang is usually the character I take point with.
 
Vanille's was the most annoying to obtain and took me the most tries, but I'd still go with Alexander. Bahamut is a beast in the field, but sometimes his attacks just don't connect...could just be me, though lol.
 
Hmm, I think that Bahamut is the strongest. Because when Fang uses him, he deals great damage. I always seem to think that Odin is weak, and waste of TP. So, I'd definitely say that Bahamut is the strongest Eidolon.
