FFVii: Should I replay it?

I think FFvii was the best FF, yet I've only played it once... and I was wondering if I should replay it. Does it give you a better experience? I'd say when I played it I probably did at least 85/90% of the game. It's been bothering me since I know people who play it every year. I may as well ask: Should I replay ffxii? The game was really long, but I enjoyed it a lot. (sorry to stick ffxii in ) Thanks!

There's no sense asking us lot, you either do or you don't, unless you have summat else you want to crack on with? I know Ive enjoyed VII every time Ive replayed it, and there's always gunna be new things to discover if you've only played it the once.

Go find a 100% walkthrough for VII, and nitpick at the things you may have missed (such as hidden items or materia.)

If you feel the urge for a 100% run, then go for it and replay.

As for XII, that game is rediculously long, I don't suggest replaying it.

I hated my 2nd run through, after the shit i went through trying to get all the hunts done the first time around i didn't want to do it all a second time, lol.

and more than that, running around 1 hitting most of the monsters because there's no monster levelling like in VIII kind of restricts you in levelling areas.

Yeah Play FFVII why not its great so great they made a movie about and and several more games and some OVA's, so it must be good.

I think it's definitely worth a second playthrough, I've only played VII once myself, and I felt like I didn't really catch everything along the way. It's a pretty complex story in some places, and there are some extra/secret things to do for completion that you might miss on the first time through, so I would say yes :dave:

I say no, don't replay it. Replay a good FF, like FFXII

If you feel like it, play it. If you don't, then don't. I'd say if you did practically everything in it then you don't need to bother replaying it, unless you REALLY feel like it. Or, if you are going to replay it, you could just plough through the story and ignore the sidequests.

Although, pretty much echoing what everyone else has said, you'll pick up more of the story and whatnot if you replay it. Since you already know what happens, you'll notice the details that may have evaded you before.

...saying that, I should probably replay FFXIII again. Who knows, maybe I'll pick up on the story

Sometimes you miss things during your second playthrough and in FF VII there's different things you can say, you can go on a different character date, and the bits of the storyline that you missed or didn't understand can be much clearer the second time round. I've re-played FF VII several times, but I have to say that the second playthrough was indeed the best out of all the playthroughs. It was like a light-bulb that wasn't switched on during the 1st playthrough was switched on, and that made it really exciting.

But whatever you choose, personally. It's up to you.

RPGs tend to get boring after the first playthrough. You might be better off trying some other game, since there are a lot of pretty good RPGs.

Ahh. I appreciate your help ^^ I do think I'll replay it eventually. Especially coz my friend wants to and we both always play the same ff at the same time LOL! I don't know why it's just cool BUT, I still have a fair share of ffxii, and I just bought ffxiii YAY!

While only you can make that decision, I would. But maybe try a harder version such as a solo or no materia game. Idk about you but they were fun for me. Also you can edit the ffxii out of your post.
