Favourite Video Game monster

Whether it's a dragon that's bigger than a mountain (Lao-Shan Lung*, anyone?), or a fire-breathing demon from hell, what is your favorite monster in the video games you've played? (Except FF.)

Mine is the Teostra, the Emperor of Flame, an Elder Dragon from the Monster Hunter series.

He/it looks just awesome, he breathes fire, he has a burning aura of flames radiating around him that deflects arrows and bullets, and he can cause fiery explosions by just flapping its wings (Well, sorta. "The Teostra can produce a highly flammable powder and using its wings to spread it across the air it gnashes its teeth to create a spark, which then causes the powder around itself to ignite and explode.").

*The Lao-Shan Lung ("Rocky Mountain Dragon") is an enourmous dragon in the MH series. Although he's big, he's big, and he's also very big, he doesn't have any breath attacks, he doesn't have any very special attacks, he has nothing. He aimlessly walks. But getting walked on by a Lao isn't nice. Oh, and when something obstructs his path, say, a giant fortress, he rams it until it gets destroyed, and then keeps on walking. xD Check this video out.

So many games and monsters to choose from...

There are a number of creatures from the QFG series that I love. The series was very whimsical with a lot of its monsters. The antwerp is probably my favorite though.

It's hideous, bouncy and it explodes into tiny antwerps when you stab it.

Had to have been the Berserker from Gears of War.

Your heart is constantly pumping trying to get out of the way especially when it is insane mode. He would run through walls, he would run at angles, he could kill you in 1 hit or 2 depending on how you get stuck.

This was the ultimate downfall of Gears2 when they took them out.

Everytime he showed up in the game, I would panic and most likely die haha. One of the only videogame monsters I ever found to be genuinely scary.

But on the more gruesome note; can't really say I have any favorite 'monsters'. I guess with the nature of the games I play, it doesn't really nurture a likeness towards monsters.

I like this thread and have been struggling to think of my favourite monster for weeks...

I finally came with a choice, even though it isn't my ultimate favourite. I just like it very much.

Mine is the 16th Colossus (AKA, Malus the Sorcerer) from Shadow of the Colossus.

This thing is HUGE.... I mean literally Wander would barely be visible on that thing if he was on it in that picture. He'd probably fit partly onto one of its fingers. The biggest colossus of them all.

In fact... Found a better picture showing the scale:

Wander is seen on the back of his hand.

Finding a way to even get near this thing without it blasting me to smithereens took a considerable amount of effort... Then when I got to it I had to climb all the way up and

jump off his hands onto his other hand then jump on to his head etc

just to get to his weak spot.

It was a huge task and it felt fantastic when the monster was defeated and I completed the game.

The only thing that would have made it more epic and awesome would have been if the thing had walked instead of standing still. But it was powerful enough.. It didn't need to walk.

A very fun battle.

Ready for this? I don't think I am, but I guess I'll announce this here and now...as much as I liked this character before, Super Smash Bros. Brawl really helped me decide this is my favourite:

This is the Pokémon Charizard. Yeah, my favourite monster is from a Pokémon game. But it is a cool one, looks a heck of a lot like a dragon, but it is Fire/Flying type combination (same as Moltres and Ho-oh).

It sets it up to be crushed by the Rock types, but working around that, it is very useful in the games, with it's high Speed, and good Special Attack power for that Flamethrower move it is known for, and of course Fire Blast (also performs this move during Pokémon Trainer's Final Smash in SSBB).

And of course, I've always had a thing for creatures with fire at the end of it's tail (something Charizard and Nanaki have in common. XD). Lol

Ah, lastly, a pic that's become something pretty popular, my Meta Charizard from Super Smash Bros. Brawl (died with the Homebrew Channel on my Wii when it started to cause my Wii to freeze as soon as I get to the Wii Menu almost every time. R.I.P. >.>):
