Favourite FMV Sequence

My favorite would have to be the Kilika sending.I think it's the most visually arresting scene in the game(even in a game filled with amazing artwork and CGI that was,at the time, stunning),and it somehow manages to capture that feeling that Tidus describes;something that's beautiful and tragic at the same time.

I don't know if this counts, because it's not technically an FMV but more of an automation.
But when the party gets pumped up to fight Yunalesca. That is the most epic part of the game in my opinion.
Now is the time to choose!
Die and be free of pain. Or live, and fight your sorrow!

For me it has to be the wedding crash (forgot what its called)

It's EPIC, I'd love to bust someones special day like that, jumping from an airship skidding on skidding on ropes. The music also plays a good part in that scene, it was one of my fave tracks of the game........oh and seeing Auron and Kimhari go down the ropes was just comical.:lew:

Each FMV in FF10 was beautiful IMO, I loved every one. But my favorite was the one when the Crusaders attacked Sin. Everything in there was just crazy, and then you had Yuna and Seymour watching, it was all very well done.

I think my favorite FMV scenee is the Bevelle because youreally see how devoted Tidus is to Yuna, and actually how all the guardians are devoted. I loved the look on Tidus's face when the big Seymour/Yuna kiss came, because he looked like he just wanted to rip Seymour's lips from his face for even touching Yuna. But I think my favorite regular cut scene would have to be the part before the Yunalesca fight. Brilliant, I loved how the characters reacted and their facial expressions were amazing. Wakka's eyes: "Even in death, ya?"

I personally feel FFX contains the strongest FMV cutscenes in any game (I've seen). There are a number which therefore stand out. The Dance scene is absolutely beautiful and perhaps the most captivating. The scenes in Bevelle around the battle agaisnt Evrae are well paced and exciting to watch. The Spring scene a couple of hours later is bittersweet and as beautiful as The Dance scene, only for different reasons. Then there's the ending... :ness: I actually shed a few tears. -_-

Edit: Ah, just read Starfish's post. Ex Machina, in which the Crusaders attack Sin and Yuna watches SPOILER
their equipment fall onto them
END SPOILER, is certainly extremely well done and semi-emotional too.

Personally, my favourite is the whole wedding FMV. While there are loads that I like in FF10, this one just has angry Yuna, which spreads to the gamers. I'm pretty sure every gamer was hating Seymour in this scene...that dirty scoundrel!

When Anima comes to that blizball stadium, the Yuna wedding FMV and the lake, but best of all is the ending, it has a massive emotional impact and is really personal, plus from being in love with FF since 8 where FMV's still looked good but X's was AMAZING and with voices, it really brought out the best in the FMV's

#1 The scene where Rikku is talking and there's an overcast sky and thunder and she looks up at the sky and tells it to be quiet Just the way she said it and it was executed made me lol. I thought that was a well written and produced cut scene.

#2 The really dramatic blitzball scene where Tidus opens his eyes as Otherworld plays. Considering its the only hard rock-ish song Nobuo Uematsu composed throughout his FF career & it sounds so different from every other song in the series, it sticks out in my mind.

Personally, my favorite FMV was of the crusader operation against Sin. It shows just how great Sin's power is, and also demonstrates how ruthlessly it kills any that oppose it.

The opening sequence is very very good, probably my favourite opening to any game ever. I hadn't been much of a gamer before this and I had never played a Final Fantasy, so I didn't expect to be blown away by a game. Just seeing everything build up is amazing, Auron slowly walking towards the arena, Tidus mid-game, and the water slowly rising. The song was perfect too and is still something I listen to on my iPod, ah it was just so great.

Sin's Giga Graviton where he bends reality into that tunnel is also a standout, along with Anima's first summon

Anyways, for the nostalgic, here is the opening in 1080p

EDIT: Looking at that guy above me, the crusader sequence is probably my second favourite

I'm a guy and as much as I loved the action sequences the ending and spring scenes moved me. I remember welling up when watching the ending and the music kicked in as Tidus put his arms around Yuna. Ahhh the power!
