Anyone ever excavated a Madains Ring? All I ever seem to come up with is Ore, though I do lose patience pretty quickly.....

If so, was you hacking away for aaaaages?
 
I never bother with it. I'm like you, I don't really have the patience for it, and I can live without the Ring at that point. I just get the moogle out and get on with my life.
 
I hacked all around till i got it, i shouldn't have though. I already had one in my inventory. Can't remember how i got it though, got plenty of ore as well to give to the friendly monsters, i left after getting around 40 or so.
 
I know the last time I played through, I chipped away at it for a while. I probably did for like a good hour or 2 off and on. It was a while ago, and I'm not sure if I actually did get the Madain's Ring or not. But I think that in the big picture, it really isn't worth taking the time to dig away. You could always get lucky and get it within 5 minutes, but that's up to you.
 
Madain's Ring's are random so it will take some time to find them. It is said that finding one is more likely found upstairs near the bridge. You can get Infinite number of this item aswell.

Looking at what Madain's Ring offers you, it's really not worth putting yourself through potentially hours of gruelling *ting ting ting*ing. I learned this the hard way during one of my first playthroughs, and what a lesson learned. :hmph: I'd not even look twice at this area if it didn't involve Mognet... that wall crumbling down always frightens me though.
 
We got lucky as hell our first play through. We hit the wall once... ONCE, and we got it. :awesome:

Never got that lucky again. The next time it took about an hour. -__-
 
Got it yesterday. Mined for about 15 minutes. It was funny, I was about to quit... then I told myself "one more time", it just so happened that last hit gave me the ring.

Overall, I don't think its worth it. You get the abilities the ring offers later in the game.

With ya there. I hate it when Zidane wouldn't steal and I had no patience D:

Anyways, No. I never bothered dugging up anything really. Wasn't worth it. Luck never comes my way anyways xD. I'd be forever before i'd get that damn thing. xD
Got the moogle and thats about it :monster:
 
The maidens ring doesnt impart on you some magical force field so unless you just want to get it for the sake of saying you got it,its not really that imperative to your journey through Fossil Roo,which at the best of times is an annoying place with all the paths blocked....and you just want to get out of there quick smart!
 
I forgot how long it took me, but just the fact that I didnt't leave it behind was good enough to have the patience to get it. It's the chocobo treasure hunt that I didn't have much pateinece first time around.
