Okay, so...What exactly is this?

I have no clue what this is suppose to do, and I've triggered it a few times. While the grainy gray and slow-motion/time freeze is cool, I don't quite understand what I'm suppose to be doing. Furthermore, I'm sacrificing my EX-Burst gauge, so it should be pretty neat-o to give up my ex-burst gauge, but I'm not seeing it :/

And speaking of triggering, what is the trigger? 'Cause I've only done this accidentally without meaning to. This is annoying 'cause I'm about to enter Ex-Burst and then the gauge goes empty and does the a fore mentioned groovy atmosphere that I don't know how to utilize Dx

How long would I have to wait after taking damage to use Ex-Mode without triggering this Revenge thing? :hmmm:

So I can hit the frozen opponent however much I want for those 5 seconds, eh? Hmmm...

Doesn't so much good if I get hit from afar, and spend time making my way TO THEM :ness:

Basically if you use your EX Mode right before you take a hit, HP or Brave I believe, you'll enter EX Revenge where time freezes giving you a chance for a free hit. However as you can see you lose your EX Gauge when you use it.

ex revenge is really helpful when your facing a really annorying foee.. when you are stuck in a combo activate ex to go into EX Revenge.. then you get 5 seconds to hit the opponent, try to learn different combos while in ex revenge here is a good one... spam sticky bomb with laguna... the only bad thing is that you lose your ex gauge

To my knowledge, you can activate EX Revenge at any point - as long as you're taking damage.

I was a little irked to lose a whole EX Gauge when activating Revenge, but your damage potential is pretty high when you compare it to your performance against a potentially... evasive enemy while you're in Ex Mode. Support abilities can pretty much guarantee critical hits as well.

In the original, I've activated EX Mode a few times to avoid damage, got in that first combo and see the enemy evade/block everything else I've been able to throw at them. And then it's over. Now, you can still avoid the damage (or interrupt a combo - preventing break and so on), and depending on your character, get in about two solid combos, or just one and a HP attack. There are accessories that extend EX Revenge's duration by a fair bit too, so you can double that.

I can see all the benefits to EX Revenge - though I do miss the opportunity to get the Regen effects of Ex Burst as often in a fight.
