OOC: On edge...? I need to find and read your character's RP Bio to try tell if he might be up to something...

Crimson Wolf

"I was looking for you, but now I have found you. I am still currently looking for Joey Hagen and Ray Stephenson, do you know of these people?"

Crimson Wolf was surprised he mentioned those two, 'Does this guy actually know they are my two roommates?' he thought to himself. The man started to speak again, this time looking directly into his eyes.

"Now the reason I have chosen you guys is so we can be a balanced team. I may need friends as time goes by, same with you. So, I take it that you will be joining me, yes?"

After coming back to the training facility after having a bite to eat at the Cafeteria, he had almost forgot about the mission he was going to be going on, but had just remembered about it. "By joining you, you just mean become friends, right? Friends know each other's names, I haven't caught yours...and those two people you mentioned, they are my roommates...

Oh, I just remembered I will be taking part in a mission soon, I came here to the training facility to keep my fighting skills sharp for the mission, I may have to go off for that soon, so I can't get into doing anything much until after that, or I might miss it..."

Crimson Wolf noticed something in his eyes, something was telling him there was more to this person than met the eye. "...take no offense, but your mind appears to be slightly adrift, is there something wrong?" he asked curiously, wondering what he was thinking about.

Escaflowne

The group was ready and they departed from the school. Escaflowne couldn't help but smile with confidence. She was always confident with herself, but this was special. The team was a bit overpowered. Right now, the team consist of two StuCo members and the Third Seat of the Disciplinary Committee. It was going to be a blast.

So....Agatha....What do you specialise in? Since this is your first mission, maybe we could model our formation around you so that you gain more experience?

There was a small pause

Of course that was if Eliane would allow it.

~~~~~~~~~~
Delijah
Delijah took a seat on the left side of the room, back where she had left Kamaitachi. It seems her attack was satisfactory from what the teacher said, which was good. She would have disgraced the Disciplinary Committee should she not be at the very least, that level. From the side, she spotted Veerle enter. Delijah found her an enigma, hard to read, but everyone had secrets. Nonetheless, Manners are needed, especially co workers.Not wantiong to disturb the class, Delijah made do with a slight nod of her head as a greeting.
Ray was mainly watching the display from other students, but he was also listening to the one speaking to him. With that, he heard her ask if he was new here, but she probably already knew from his blazer he was wearing. "Yep, I'm new. Me and Ki fight together, and I hope to learn new things." As Ray was speaking, he was petting Kisharu's head, who had been sitting close by. "I haven't been apart from him since I can remember. We have saved eachothers lives so many times. I don't know where I would be if I didn't have him." Ray was speaking rather softly and warmly.
Mr. Krego
Oracio listened as Sophia spoke, he needed to know what kind she would want in order to know what to teach her, and that was a given. She asked about the special assignment, but before he could say anything about it, the other student spoke aloud. She spoke of the hardening magic, and was dead on what it was. "Sophia, she is correct about that. Impressive you know of this."
He listened to everything this student had to say, and he was taking mental notes. "I do know how to teach an array of different reflective and countering spells. Anything from aura based to mirror masks. Just let me know what kind you would like to learn. Feel free to take some books about it, they are all organized." He then paused and realized something he had just said that this student mentioned. "I'm sure you will leanr exactly how it works, but the rewriting of spells is a highly difficult task. I usually teach my students through doing, but if you wanted to rewrite, I could be of assistance."
Then turning to Sophia, "Sophia, I want you to write me an informal essay, meaning it doesn't have to be anything fancy. I want it to be about any major events in your past, any key happenings. If there is anything personal you would not want me to know leave it out. I want you to include both happy and sad. I also want you to include details of your species, as it would help greatly. Also, if you ever encountered any magic happenings involving you in the past, I want you to detail them thoroughly. I am not giving you a due date, just give it to me whenever you have it done."
Oracio then turned back to the other student. "You say you use Time magic?" He stood up and looked at the shelf behind his desk that was protected from any students reaching it. He grabbed a book bound in green with a strange blue marking on it. He put it on his desk and said, "According to the theory Adriano set forth, Time magics can only be performed by select individuals. It's all in here. If you read it you may learn some things."
Arukab Tragide
Arukab was glad to hear the student knew what he did wrong. He spoke calmly, "Joey, I want you to try again, but this time, ignore the fact that I am a living human. Pretend I am an object. Then breath, focus on every breath. Fell the air moving in and out. Focus on the are around you." Arukab paused to give the student time to do as he suggested. "Then I want you to view me as a threat to your life. And come at me." Arukab was totally serious. He re-coated himself in silver yet again, preparing for the strike.
Sophia
"Sophia, I want you to write me an informal essay, meaning it doesn't have to be anything fancy. I want it to be about any major events in your past, any key happenings. If there is anything personal you would not want me to know leave it out. I want you to include both happy and sad. I also want you to include details of your species, as it would help greatly. Also, if you ever encountered any magic happenings involving you in the past, I want you to detail them thoroughly. I am not giving you a due date, just give it to me whenever you have it done."
"I know it is really pretty embarrassing, but I can't write with my paws...how do you suggest I work around this, Mr. Krego?" she replied, looking a little embarrassed that she couldn't simply carry out his request.
"Sorry about this, I'm sure you've probably never had a wolf for a student before." she added, with what best be described as a nervous chuckle.
"Hm...that would serve to be a minor issue, but minor is all it is." Mr. Krego was not too worried about this. "I will change it to a meeting after class if you are available. If not, then I will request a different date." Oracio was speaking softly and very kindly, as he always was. "And you are correct, I never have had a student of your likes, that is why I want to know about you. There is always more to learn than there is to teach."
OOC: Sort post is short...
"Joey, I want you to try again, but this time, ignore the fact that I am a living human. Pretend I am an object. Then breath, focus on every breath. Fell the air moving in and out. Focus on the are around you."
"Yes, sir." Joey replied.
He controlled his breathing and focused on what he needed to do. Since he did wrestling, he knew how to let something go past him and worry about the now, which was what he needed to do. He cancelled out all that was not neccesary around him and shadowed out all of the background noise.
"Then I want you to view me as a threat to your life. And come at me."
"No harness on my back." He said to himself, as he readied to attack.
Without hesitating, he threw his sword in the air towards the teacher, then with a sudden movement launched himself in the air after his weapon. He grabbed the sword and aimed a strike with full concentration, at the same spot as last time.
Before the strike landed, Joey noticed that the tip of his blade had a faint reddish tint to it. He did not know where it was coming from, but he knew it was him. This time, the strike landed on the top of the neck. After the strike, he landed on his feet and held his weapon down. He kept his head down and was looking at his weapon, wondering where this unknown power came from.
Sophia
"Hm...that would serve to be a minor issue, but minor is all it is. I will change it to a meeting after class if you are available. If not, then I will request a different date."
Krego spoke these words gently. She was relieved this could be worked around easily enough, she would gladly have a meeting with him to discuss the aforementioned details, her past, what her species is, and so forth. He continued on to respond to her comment on probably never having had a student like herself.
"And you are correct, I never have had a student of your likes, that is why I want to know about you. There is always more to learn than there is to teach."
Sophia had nothing in particular to do, figuring Crimson Wolf could wait, for this. "Good to know this doesn't complicate things much, and I don't have anything I need to get to immediately, we can have the meeting whenever it is good for you, after class would be fine." she said cheerfully. She was glad to finally be getting started towards being able to learn to cast some magic spells, and this person seemed genuinely kind, no strings attached.
OOC: My character isnt exactly up to something, yet
Crimson Wolf spoke
"By joining you, you just mean become friends, right? Friends know each other's names, I haven't caught yours...and those two people you mentioned, they are my roommates...
Oh, I just remembered I will be taking part in a mission soon, I came here to the training facility to keep my fighting skills sharp for the mission, I may have to go off for that soon, so I can't get into doing anything much until after that, or I might miss it..."
Crimson looked directly into Xe's eyes. As if he were looking for something. He spoke again.
"...take no offense, but your mind appears to be slightly adrift, is there something wrong?"
To answer your first question, my name is Zack, but I go by Xe.
Secondly there is nothing wrong. I know you are wondering what I am thinking, and that is for me to know, and you not to know.
That is a good thing that I somehow chose your room mates. And by joining me, I mean not just be a friend, but an ally in battle.
I am more than you think
. What mission are you going on? I'm due to go on a mission as well.
"I haven't been apart from him since I can remember. We have saved eachothers lives so many times. I don't know where I would be if I didn't have him."
"Awwww! That's so cute!" Stella said as the next person went up to challenge the teacher.
Stella was getting nice to a boy for the first time in a year. Where she was from it was like living in Orion nation: not fun. She stroked her hair and glanced at her ripped blazer. Blushing over embarrassment she smiled and dropped her pencil. Okay! Time to see if that tip in Cosmo magazne really works! she thought. Stella went over and bent over for what seemed like hours and then got her pencil and returend to her seat.
"Sorry for that!" Stella lied. "I can be a bit clumsy at times!"
Crimson Wolf
"I am more than you think. What mission are you going on? I'm due to go on a mission as well.
"I'm going to be going on the Scholarly Desire mission, I am pretty good with forests, I imagine that to be the best mission of choice to go on out of the choices currently available for missions, I should provide good protection, not so sure about carrying stuff though, simply because I couldn't grip anything to carry using my paws, and I wouldn't want to get anything slobbery from being in my mouth...
It might sound embarrassing to say, but technically I really am some dog, I am a Ferfnir, which you could call a Wolf subspecies, so there is that issue with the mouth, anything going in it might not come back out, err, dry." Crimson Wolf replied, somewhat embarrassed about the situation he may be bringing upon himself by taking on this mission.
"If you don't mind my asking, what mission will you be going on? Don't tell me, Scholarly Desire?" he said, followed by a little chuckle after his added comment, after he had conveniently listed his two roommates as the other two people he was looking for.
OOC: Again, "yet" bothers me...but for now it should just remain on friendly terms, of which I see no reason why that have to change at any point. :/
Ravona took the green blue book from the teacher’s hands. And opened and skimmed through it. It was quite in depth, certainly worth reading. While Ravona was doing so Mr. Krego and Sophia continued their conversation about Sophia’s studies. Sophia apparently couldn’t write due to her body’s physical limitations, somehow Ravona couldn’t help but wonder if this meant she couldn’t read either. It seemed logical that a species that couldn’t write and therefore no basis for literature would have a tradition of illiteracy. Ravona caught her mind going off track for a moment and refocused on the issue at hand.
Krego had definitely the resources she needed to improve her skills, he also seemed to have sufficient skill in magic to teach her something. While normally Ravona would probably have preferred to self tutor on her own she figured she might as well let the teacher do his job.
Krego seemed to have agreed to let Sophia dictate her story to the teacher instead of handing in a written essay. Ravona wondered if this world didn’t have Dictation Pens, it was quite a common magical item back at her home world, though mostly possessed by rich people. Besides having endless ink in it the Dictation Pen was a magical item that wrote down whatever you said to it, still this didn’t seem like Ravona’s business so she made no comment on it. When Sophia and Krego seemed to have reached an agreement Ravona spoke again.
“Please call me Ravona or Miss Denton.” Ravona said who hadn’t had time to introduce herself before. “Mr. Krego, I’m interested aura based magic, while I’m very familiar with the use of aura’s for identification purposes I’ve never seen it used for dispelling. If possible I’d like to learn more of this.”
Ravona hoped this guy was as good as a teacher as he claimed to be, otherwise she would be severely disappointed.
Agatha turned her head towards Escaflowne as she asked for a question that she felt she had to answer. No one really knew about her powers and she herself don't know where she would place herself in the battlefield.
"I'm a Psychokinetic, a rare yet formidable power. However I..."
She did not seem all too happy talking about it as it flared up some of her past memories playing in her mind, yet she found out a way to show it to Escaflowne who asked. At first she lifted a rock to her palm and let it fly in midair.
"I can move any objects with my mind. I am however not strong enough to lift a car or a building just yet, but I can fling a car at the enemy if needed. I can also teleport to places I can see with my own eyes, but the range is not too big just yet."
She then sighed alittle as her explanation of her powers was quite short and she felt somewhat weak in compared to the rest of them.
"However where I specialise in is out in the blue. When I get stronger I can both protect and fight, much better than I can now."
She lowered her head alittle bit as she started to feel more or less as a piece of trash that they were dragging along. Maybe it was exactly that she needed, to be dragged along on missions so she could grow stronger.
The wolf spoke
"I'm going to be going on the Scholarly Desire mission, I am pretty good with forests, I imagine that to be the best mission of choice to go on out of the choices currently available for missions, I should provide good protection, not so sure about carrying stuff though, simply because I couldn't grip anything to carry using my paws, and I wouldn't want to get anything slobbery from being in my mouth...
It might sound embarrassing to say, but technically I really am some dog, I am a Ferfnir, which you could call a Wolf subspecies, so there is that issue with the mouth, anything going in it might not come back out, err, dry." Crimson Wolf replied, somewhat embarrassed about the situation he may be bringing upon himself by taking on this mission.
"If you don't mind my asking, what mission will you be going on? Don't tell me, Scholarly Desire?"
Crimson chuckled
You guessed it, we're going on the same mission.
I don't care if you really are a dog, wolves are on my list of favorite animals.
Xe looked around, made sure no one was listening
Listen, just to let you know, I'm different. Don't judge me if you see me do something odd, ok. You'll get used to it.
OOC: dont worry about the "yet" i just say it to creep people out
While she was waiting for her student to get back Nova spent some time concidering her next lesson, she had never been much of one for theoretical classes and now that she had someone else to cover the magic classes she figured they didn’t need her for the magical classes anymore. Grabbing her “cellphone” she called Atma, “Hey dude, how’s things? Great lunch by the way… That cooler really hit the spot.”
“Oooh I’m good… Chess really does stop being fun when your thinking more then 12 moves ahead so we stopped doing that and started playing D&D instead… Our little adventures make for a great source of DM ideas… Guess once who they roped into dungeon mastering? Well anyways, you didn’t call me to ask me how my games are going… What do you want now?”
“Well I was wondering if you could send a message to my class, I have an idea for my next class and I need them to bring some eeehm “non standard” equipment. I doubt it’s a problem…”
“Nope I got this, one problem there were a few guys there who don’t have cell phones but I think I got a way around that… What do you need them to bring?”
“Ooh nothing much, bit of sunscreen, swimwear, sunglasses with a retainer to prevent them getting lost… That sort of thing… Ooh and can you hook me up with whoever is in charge of BMW Oracle sailing? I need to loan one of their boats crew and all…” Nova said before handling some negotiations which mainly involved showing them one of her syndicate issued credit cards and telling them to send her the bill…
0=0=0=0=0=0=0=0=0
Somewhere near the library a boys cell phone started too ring, not in itself very unusual, except for the fact that EVERYONE’s cell phone started ringing with whatever tune they set for a text message.
“See that boy over there, 5’ 4”, black hair, 5 yards to your left? Tell him he needs to bring the following things to class on thursday morning -participation will not be possible if he does not-, sunglasses, swimming gear, towel, sunglasses, a retainer to make sure they don’t fall off, sunscreen/block and some snacks/lunch…” (OOC: and yes I am well aware that that is more then the 160 characters your allowed in an SMS message:P) Just as he was about to tell the boy what he had read he heard 4 other guys all starting to say the same thing…
OOC: Short post is short but then I don’t really know what to post about Nova is still waiting for Taron to come back and I cant run that mission until I get answers there… Those of my students WITH cellphones will get the text themselves and those without cellphones will get the text as described above… (beg pardon for using Taron but he seemed like a guy who didn’t have a cellphone and it’s not really godmodding when you do it to NPCs…)
Jyscal sat back in his office chair, sipping at a hot mug of coffee.
He was reading through a report he had been given by one of the students about a scenario wherein which a fight had almost broken out yesterday. As student council and Disciplinary Committee liason he expected this sort of thing, but to have this sort of report on the second day of school, he was a little surprised. He would have to speak to members of both groups of students to find out exactly what had happened andmake sure nothing serious was going to remain, after all fighting was to be expected. Perhaps the head of both groups would be able to make some sense of this for him.
He wandered down to the great hall with his coffee in his hand observing the new students bustling around him. He placed a notice outside the great hall asking that both the leader of the Student Council and the Disciplinary Committee come and see him at the soonest possible opportunity. He just wanted to make sure this was an innocent fight, and nothing more serious was going on.
He walked back up the stairs and took the first door on the right, walking into his teaching room and through a door at the back into his office. He set down the empty coffee mug and moved the sheaf of papers to one side so he could refer to them later on. He leant back in his leather armchair to relax, after all, most of the people involved in the stand off were highly trained and knew what they were doing.
Mr. Krego listened as Sophia agreed to the terms he gave. He nodded and then put his focus onto the other student he had. the student had requested for him to call her Ravona or Miss Denton. Oracio decided on Ravona. "Well Ravona, It is possible to use aura basis magics for dispelling but that will have to be learned after learning the reflective properties. It is fairly complicated in comparison, but you seem educated well enough to handle it." He then began to speak to both his students. "You both have some great potential, and I am glad to be the one teaching you, but Looking at the time, you two haven't had lunch yet have you? If not please take a half hour to get something to eat at the cafeteria if you like, I'll be here."
-------Arukab-------
Joey had done a much better job his second try, and maybe even had shown something that could be enhanced. "Very good Joey," He spoke as he pushed the blade away from his upper neck. "Now before you sit down, I would like to give you a lunch break. Get acquainted with your classmates." Arukab went to look at a paper he had on hi desk. It was a roster full of the names of his students. He looked at the one that walked into class late and spoke aloud, "You must be Veerle? I want to have a quick word with you before you leave."
------Ray + Kisharu-------
Ray was beginning to think the girl he was talking to was rather nice, and had taken his sights off the other girl. Although she was a bit older, he really appreciated her kindness, and he was returning the favor of friendship. He noticed her drop her pencil and slowly bend over to grab it back up. He couldn't help but glance over, being very discreet so nobody would notice. When she made the comment about being a bit clumsy, Ray simply responded in a gentle manner, "Not a problem" With a small chuckle in his voice. "If everyone was graceful, what would happen to originality?"
Then Ray heard the teacher dismiss them for lunch. He looked over at the girl he was talking to, "Wanna sit with me in lunch? Ya don't have to, but...ya know...?" He didn't realize it but he was beginning to get a little shy...
"If everyone was graceful, what would happen to originality?"
Stella was happy at the response and felt non stressed for once in her life. Upon hearing the lunch break Stella grabbed her things at an instant before turning to the boy again.
"Wanna sit with me in lunch? Ya don't have to, but...ya know...?"
Stella considered this before remembering a task at hand that she needed to do. She suddenly took out her cell and glanced at the screen at a message. "Oh great! Looks like somethings going on." she mumbled.
She almost walked away from Ray before smiling and saying, "Yeah! I'd love to sit with you at lunch! I'll meet you in the cafeteria!" Stella said as to not be rude.
She didn't know how she would do this, tshe would have to use her abilities to help her move fast and didn't care about disciplinary action. Running down the steps Stella took out the rod and harnessed the power of air using her elemental gifts. She tapped the rd on a step below and flew into the air downwards to the floor below, having the air blow against her so that she would land safely. She ran to Ms. Nova's office at once. "Ms Nova!" Stella said knocking repeatedly on the teacher's door. "It looks like you're going to have to lead the first escort mission today!" she said loudly enough for the teacher to hear.
Then sprining towards the end of the corridor Stella reached the Great Hall of the school where she bumped into her younger sister. "Pharra!" She gasped. "Can you transport me to the beach?! I have a message for one of the student council members but I can't remember what it was!" Stella said catching her breath.
"Arent you going to open the student shop for me Phelda?" Pharra Lee asked.
"I'm getting to it sis!" Stella said as she rushed out the front doors towards the beach.
Pharra Lee Marx streched her arms in front of her waving her staff in front of her. With a flash of light, Stella disappeared into a space of blankness waiting to reach the other side of the portal...
OOC: Not really what I call a concise mission briefing but sure I’ll roll with it…
IC:
After Nova had gotten off the phone, and sent her text messages and was just about to pour herself another cup of her coffee, she heard a knock on the door… “Ms Nova! It looks like you're going to have to lead the first escort mission today!" Nova’s first response was to start itimising the things she’d need, ammo, weapons, oil, first aid kit, mosquito net, power bars and the like, when she realized she wasn’t going to be monthes behind enemy lines for this one. Still basic training prevails every time. “Computer, what is the “first escort mission”?” Nova asked the computer hoping it had some kind of voice activation mode.
“First escort mission: Escort shipment of relief supplies through bandit invested territory down to dockyard. “ The computer’s voice rasped using totally wrong prenounciation. “Meeting of members in great hall, meeting underway right now.” The computer continued pronouncing the words with a totally wrong tempo and cadans. Nova quickly stripped down to her underwear and pulled her go suit out of the aluminium case and pulled it on, boots and all. Affixing her Sam-Fisher-special lowlight optics to her forehead she walked down to the great hall case slung on her back while she braided her hair… Having put a post it note on her door stating that she had been called away on pressing business and that she would unfortunately have to take a rain check on the practice thing.
“Okay boys,” Nova said as she walked into the hallway, her normal hip rocking strut replaced with a more purposeful walk which seemed all the more impressive for the black skintight suit she was wearing and with the aluminium case strapped to her back on the backpack like slings. “time to gear up and get ready it seems we are already over due, I was just instructed to take lead this mission. I don’t really do “defence” or “alive” usually but we’ll make it work, move out to the where the carts are and we’ll brief each other on the walk there.” Nova said as she pulled a few black plastic blocks from somewhere with what looked like a plastic strap attached and handed them out “These are short wave radio’s with a voicebox activated mic, these pick up on the vibrations of your vocal cords and not your voice, while you need to talk to have them transmit but loud volume is not required. I will not have this go more tits-up then I have to… So what are your skill sets? What do we have to work with?” Nova continued in that totally matter of fact tone of voice of someone who has done this sort of thing hundreds of times and almost prefers the “next opp” to daily life for the stream lining it brings, no consequences, just a blanket of calm which descends on you, knowing you are very good at this, testing your wits and preparation against the other guys for the highest of stakes…
She had taken great length to prepare herself for school this year. she had done her hair until it was just right. Ironed every single crease from her uniform and took great care when adjusting her armband so that it was straight. What she hadnt prepared herself with was a map of the school.
Yuki looked up from the freshly printed lesson plan and room numbers. She looked through the mass of people walking the corridors and felt quite lost. She tried a few times to gain someones attention to ask for help. Tried and failed miserably.
It seemed that everyone was busy and one other persons problems could not be added to their own. She was about to give up hope when she spotted someone who to her stood out ever so slightly from the throng of students. She ran over to him. Clutching a stitch she spoke to the male, who now she took time to notice was perhaps a little too pretty for her to talk to.
but she had to try "Excuse me *huff-puff* Do you know the way to Mr..." She looked at her lesson plan "Krego's room is? Im supposed to be in his class but i seem to be lost"
The main hall way was crowded today. Kazuki hates crowds and tends to avoid them often. He's still a bit sleepy after his long journey. Personally, he just went to school for the sake of his mother who was teaching overseas. His father was still serving their country and right now at war with the neighboring country. "Tch.. do I really have to do this?" Kazuki thought while carrying his things towards the nearest admissions office. "Excuse me, where can I find the dormitories?" said Kazuki to the inspector. Kazuki then headed towards the building near the eastern part of the academy. After fixing his things, he went for a little stroll.
