Eiko's Outfit?

Ya know, I have an eyesight problem so maybe I missed it. But what is the problem with what Eiko wears? I've heard people say it was highly inappropriate. Are they talking about the wing things on her back?
 
People mistake her pale clothing for actual body. Her trousers are pale, so, people believe that she is naked down there. Which is ridiculous, Squaresoft were hardly going to put a 6 year old character into the game naked.
 
I've never heard of this issue people have with Eiko.

Ok I see your point... She wears light clothing underneath her baggy trousers.. But seriously that isn't the first thing that comes to my mind. I'd never noticed it before. It's hardly likely that Square even took a second to believe that anybody would possibly think that Eiko, a young child, was naked in the lower regions.
 
I find it ludicrous to think that anybody would believe her outfit to be racy. Especially if they were to go to the extent to complain about it, you'd think they would take more time and double check what they are complaining about.
 
I never had that problem,I always knew she wore clothes.Square Soft doesn't create naked girls in order to sell.
 
I've NEVER thought she was naked underneath, although I have heard people that think she is. It never even crossed my mind. Even looking now, I can see the difference in pink between the bottom and top half of her. People need to get a grip, she aint nakey :wacky:
 
Well, the innocent me then was shocked when my short-sighted right eye saw an Eiko revealing some parts of her body.

I researched later on then realized it was just pale trousers. Despite that, I think it'll be better if they made the clothings darker or so.

This is interesting because I never noticed that, and still fail to notice it. I went through the game competely innocent and did not notice a thing. Even looking at pics now, I can't see it.

Has anyone got a decent picture of Eiko in-game? I can't seem to see any decent ones on the internet, and so can't get to see the "controversial" costume she wears.
 
I must say I've never thought of this before and prolly would have continued never thinking this if I hadn't come across this thread. I can see a big difference between the pink on her legs and the peach/fleshtone face. I dunno, I don't recall thinking that about her ingame model either so, yeah...
 
I noticed it as soon as I saw the character, I have to admit. It struck me as really fucking peculiar. I wasn't offended and certainly little kids don't do it for me... but yea, I did take notice of it. Even if it is distinguishable at a closer glance, they probably should have picked a smarter color than a flesh toned one. It doesn't strike me as a big deal though.
 
Noticed it right from the start. I gotta say I'm guilty of having questioned what the heck Square Soft was trying to come up with, but I gotta say, it looks pretty darn close, especially with the posted image on the first page.

However, yeah, Square or any other video game (except Rockstar maybe) would probably keep pornographics off their characters; especially at such a young looking age.
 
Yeah I thought she was naked underneath first play through. I didn't find it all that weird, I was young and FF games were strange to me in general so naked 6 year olds were fairly normal next to giant rats that kill dragons and a ladyboy with a purple thong and feathers in his hair.
 
Have never nticed it. I find it starnage tha tsome one would complain without making sure they know what they are talking about. As for the color. I can tell the difference, so i think the color choice is perfectly fine.
