In his defence he is only 29. That's only 10 years older than her, and that isn't really old. It's not as if he's a 50-60 year old man detailing how he is going to stalk and rape her.

What he said, I agree, does sound a bit freaky but personally if I'd seen that while scrolling Facebook I'd not have given it a second glance. People say strange stuff like that to each other sometimes. I doubt he actually meant that he desires for her to die with someone / himself. He was probably just trying to compliment her and cheer her up (though perhaps with the hope that one day she'll thank him for it...) :hmmm:
