Does Sephiroth need a Girlfriend?

We all know the bad ass Sephiroth is an extremely driven man with world domination or even its destruction being his ultimate goal...........but would it still be the same if he had a GF?

Ive always liked Seph with Aeris or Terra.
Oh yeah its a pairing thread for Sephiroth..........if anyones interested.

I think that most people would be better off with the experience of having a girlfriend / boyfriend. I can't see Sephiroth being that much of an exception. Unless... He really was that much into his mother. :O
 
In early development of the game, Aerith was meant to be a love interest for Sephiroth. I sometimes wonder what could have been...
 
I can't really imagine Sephiroth being able to experience "love", only obsession. I can see him being extremely erratic, aggressive and jealous. I do think, however, that it wouldn't really have improved his sanity. The events of Nibelheim are what drove the guy mad in the first place, not the lack of a girlfriend. :8F:

You never know though. Perhaps he just needed a constant. Something secure he could rely on while the rest of his world was being turned upside down. Someone to comfort him and prevent him from going insane when the whole JENOVA and library thing happened. Someone to tell him that he still has worth as a human being, despite his monstrous origins. :sad2:

Although he no longer considers himself human, Seph is still a man by some definition, and even if the chick he is with is along the same lines as him.........bent on annihilation......I think it could be a good thing for the guy.

Some one to test the depths of his resolve?
It would not be easy I would think to get a sign of affection from him.
 
I've always thought about this at the back of my head. That what if Sephirtoh fells in love, he might have not been the madman he is now. Or at least not that much crazy. He probably just needs someone to put his attention to other than his mother. He's such a mamma's boy. The only person I think would be good for Sephy is Aerith. They're the opposite of each other, a former hero turned madman who wants to destroy the world and the last of her kind who wants to save the planet. Sounds a good match :D And well, they we're supposed to be lovers and I'm curious what could've happened if the story was like that. I think they'd be canon :D
 
I can see that SephAerith would have been quite easy to add into the earlier parts of the game. Simply replace the SOLDIER (Zack) Aerith said she loved with Sephiroth and quite a lot of it would be in the script, with a few tweaks.

Obviously the later stages of the game would need to change. :D

But if he did have a girlfriend I do think he could have been different. He was a villain who we see twist and turn into what he is. He wasn't bad from birth. He had darkness in him, yes, but he tried to do well for himself for the majority of his life. With a stable relationship he might not have slipped into his insanity / twisted viewpoints quite so easily, if at all.
 
Aerith all the way. It's a smexiful pairing. Plus Cloud will have another reason to beat the crap out of Sephi.
 
I used to really like Sephiroth x Aerith but while he was tragic at first, he's a complete monster by the time of FFVII. Any pairing of Seph and Aerith eneds to happen before he flips his lid or have him be out-of-character.
