Dissidia 012: Final Fantasy has battle watching mode

Online Japanese retailer Gamestar has let slip some more details about Dissidia 012: Final Fantasy, and among the features listed is a voyeuristic watching mode.

Basically, what the mode does, is allow those who are not participating in some of the game’s tournament-style features – basically those who are not fighting – to still watch as other battle it out.

Other features mentioned in the listing are improved wireless support; exchanging friend cards; create and exchange original quests.

Also, importing your data from the original Dissidia will allow you to carry your character level over and give you a nifty accessory for the trouble.
Square Enix is having an event on January 18, so hopefully more features will be revealed.

Yuna was also recently confirmed for the title.
Get the rest of the listings details over on Andriasang.

Voyeuristic watching mode? I can't be the only person who completely misread that...

In any case, that sounds positively thrilling. I cannot wait to watch people play the game.

The data transfer thing sounds interesting, though...maybe I'll crack out Dissidia at some point and grind everyone up to level 100 using the Exdeath trick or something. Assuming, of course, that I even bother getting this game...

A watching mode? Hmm....

I'm more interested in the improved wireless feature. Though I wish it meant not needing a PS3 and a money tree to go online, I know that's not going to happen.

It was previously revealed that the story of the original Dissidia will be included in Duodecim and will be playable with Duodecim's new battle system. To access this, you'll need to clear Duodecim's story mode. The original's story has been updated with new short scenarios.
Oh I so hope the new short scenarios are those of the characters that exist in the Last Dissidia. xD

Dang, I'm going to be out on the 18-20th, so I won't be able to see if anyone puts the news up T.T

I dont really see how watching a battle is fun :mokken:

Whats the point if you don't actually play the damn thing? SE the things you guys do are so uneccasary!

this sounds good can't wait 4 the release of this :)

and cannot wait 4 the premire on the 18th :)

Now this sounds promising... Maybe we'd get to learn a few moves by watching others. I hope we get to learn more about the plot soon.

Seems kinda... useless. Why would anyone do this? :hmmm:

Voyeuristic? What the heck? What's so voyeuristic about watching other people battle? :thehell:

Anyways, that sounds alright, but I really don't get the point of watching other people battle. I dunno...
