As for the new screenshot of Gil, I'm not so sure. I think we might be being taken for a ride - the formatting of it into a PSP screen is needlessly flashy, particularly as there is no move name to be seen, the screen itself shows precious little and I can't shake the feeling as if I've seen that exact scene somewhere before (obviously sans Gil, but you get the idea.)

So, in short, I'm gonna have to go with my Yuna stance here - more proof, please, or I'm going to take this as an isolated coincidence.
 
Well andriasang has the story up now, mentioning that pic was found on promotional material, so I'm feeling good about Gilgamesh actually being in.

(And as I recall, people were able to rip an image of Gilgamesh from the Prologus demo :lew: )

Also on that news page, in the comments section, someone mentions this little tidbit. It may not be true, but I see no reason to doubt it:

Might as well add in this related but unrelated tidbit: the downloadable costume code that comes with Jump is Squall's original Kingdom Hearts appearance.

I'd by lying if I said I'm shocked, I saw that coming a mile off xD I'm curious as to how we will get that little extra however, seeing as how said magazine doesn't get released here. :gonk: Just make it downloadable on PSN goddamit :rage:

And at this point, it's pretty blatent Gilgamesh will be in Duodecim :lew:
 
I wish I had your clairvoyance-I was surprised to hear it would be his KH self. I was honestly expecting his Balamb Garden cadet uniform (which I actually liked more than his SeeD outfit ;D)

And yeah, I'm hoping the codes get made available here somehow. I guess they might do something for the S-E Member's site, maybe the official packaging, but if nothing else, buying it off PSN should suffice for all. I just hope it's not pricey :/
 
His cadet uniform is probably next on the agenda, but I'd say it's a tad too similar to his SeeD uniform to get away with right now.

And that just reminded me I have an SE account, I might need to blow the dust off that at some point, especially if you're right about the codes.

Qualitys bad but you Can atleast see the Assists~ (The Clear assist I saw is Yuna create a puff of Sparkely smoke. Can anyone tell me what thats suppose to be?)
 
Why not? KH Cloud got in, it's no shock KH Squall/Leon did.

And ooh, looks like I got new decs for my walls, and I'm kinda liking that game cover for it. I'm also really chuffed that we get two DLC costumes now.

Btw, I felt the need to add this just cause I can; for all those wondering where Tifa's DLC costume came from:

I think the KH costumes are just a marketing ploy. Whose doing the character designs of Dissidia? Nomura. What else has he done? Created Kingdom Hearts.

However, I hope Dissidia remains FINAL FANTASY only. It seems tacky to throw in characters from another series. Yeah, there are FF characters in KH, but I can finally admit to myself KH borrows a lot from FF anyways-what's a couple of non-canon characters then? But throwing KH characters in, I rather not see >_<

that move is diamond dust... it goes like that when it misses.... i know cuz i have prolougs and i HHHAAAATTTTTE having people with yuna assisting ... and fighting tifa :/
 
Who...is Gilgamesh? Who is...GILGAMESH?

....Gilgamesh is a reoccurring character in the Final Fantasy series. Although not as consistent as a Cid in a every game, more or less his character design remains the same in whatever game he appears.
 
Hmmm im assuming for the dlc to get the alternate costumes they will have people pay for them hu?
All things considerd I think if I am made to pay its not realy worth it for me.

As for the KH costumes and such I remember reading on a gaming site how they where considering adding in KH charecters for a dissidia game but it would involve leingthy talks with Disney so it might not happen soon(or at all),it also said it would be hard to throw the KH charecters in to the FF world of dissidia but it didnt go in to great leingths of why,but I think by adding in the costumes its a hint of things to come.
 
What makes Gilgamesh unique is that several hints are dropped that it is the same person who is in each game, unlike the Cids who are different. In the Japanese FF8, for instance, his introduction has him referencing Bartz, the hero of FF5. Similarly, in other FFs he is described as a warrior who travels interdimensionally and wields weapons "borrowed" from other FFs, most often cheap knock-offs.

As for the inclusion of KH elements, I seem to recall hearing somewhere that some staff within S-E are for the addition of KH characters like Sora and Rikku, while others are against it. I think that, if the creators are divided in opinion, that it won't happen for some time yet.
 
Anyone see the Squall DLC content?

Will come with both the Tifa Alt and Squall Alt, confirming his DLC Alt as his Leon appearance from Kingdom Hearts.

(Gil in 5 has to be my favorite, he's mega awesome. :3)

I also think he made more of a character impact in FF5. It seemed it had more in that game than any other.

You should play it so when/if you get Dissidia 12, you can fully appreciate him :)
