Uh huh Riggght you are tired :ahmed: I am hoping the assist character is just not another character you put on your team to do combos with :hmmm:
 
Well they already revealed 3 new characters out of the 10 which are Tifa, Kain Highwind and Lightning. So if they will add more new characters then I would want to see Gilgamesh, Seifer and Auron.



 
Seifer would be really cool. He was always my favorite character from VIII, so yeah xD
 
I got to say that Square-Enix did a outstanding job with Tifa's and Kain Highwind's movements.They made they're movements as original as possible as well as they're Ex Mode and that is a plus. Hope to hear some more great news about this awesome game. I wounder what other surprises will Square-Enix have instored for us. :hmmm:
 
All this Tifa news is awesome. I can't wait to use her directly. It seems they put a lot into her character, but made he very nostalgic and used the right character design. Fangasming right now! :x3:
 
I'm pretty sure these "assist" characters are the ones that will actually be playable in Duodecim in the first place :wacky:

If you wanna get really technical, given that Duodecim is taking place before Dissidia, it's a prequel :lew:

As for the amount of new characters, I wish they could just tell us straight up how many new characters there are rather than giving a vague between-amount and that statement that there will NOT one new character from every game. So we know at the very least some games will not get new characters.

I'm not really sure who to expect. With FF3 representative hero being a "generic" Onion Knight, I doubt they'll suddenly toss an actual FF3 character. Same for FF1.

Thus far, adding onto the original 22 character roster, we've got:

FFIV Kain
FFVII Tifa
FFXIII Lightning
And possibly FFXII Vaan

So I think that leaves getting someone from FFII, FFV, FFVI, FFVIII, FFIX, and FFX. I haven't really played FF2 enough to know who could get picked, but I'm hoping for Faris from FFV, and I think over-all we have some decent selections from FFVI and above.

Not to mention what DLC will entail. Aside from Lightning and Cloud's alternate costumes, nothing else has been said.

Let's see...If the game is coming out in April, that still leaves six months to expect more news, so...keep speculating, I guess :wacky:
 
Yeah I just noticed that. That sucks seriously. I thought it eould have been just like mini assist characters throughout the series. Kinda like Super smash bros brawl you know?
 
Only 4-10 characters is slightly disappointing. I know we weren't meant to expect 20 more but I'd hoped we'd get a few more than that. If it is 10 then that'll be acceptable, but if it is lower then I'll either give this game a miss or buy it super-cheap one day.

At least they are making a large number of other changes besides from the character roster though.

Tifa looks great, and her fighting and Ex-Burst does too.

I just hope that the remaining characters prove to be amazing choices.
 
I honestly don't see Vaan getting picked for this, it's more likely to be somebody like Reddas or Vayne, because they actually have specific weapons. I think the voice acting he's been doing will be for Fortress not Dissidia 012.

I'm actually starting to think otherwise too, it's taking far too long for SE to announce him when we've heard the 'spoiler' from his English voice actor. But there's still hope I suppose, though I'm not exactly that keen on having Vaan. I'd much rather have Vayne who actually has a fighting style and a potentially awesome Ex-mode (his final Bahamut form). It wouldn't really make sense not to have a new character from XII seeming as Sky Fortress Bahamut is apparently a new stage.

I think this may be Tifa's 'feint' attack; looks like some sort of teleportation rather than a Tidus-like dodge. Very excited :awesome:
 
Tifa looks kinda evil in that first picture up on that link. Still she is awesome nontheless. I really look forward to using her alot :ryan: But I agree with Argie that 3-10 characters is pretty dissapointing..
 
So looking forward to this. It's fucking great that they went with her original outfit in my opinion, and great that they added her Advent Children outfit as well. The original is best though. :ryan: It's looking so badass.

The only reason I'm getting in to Dissidia is because my favourite character got announced and that fact is enough to have me considering buying a PSP in the near future... xD Man...

Gorgeous graphics, I think, and I think they pulled the outfits off really nice. Also YAY for the Cloud and Tifa dialogue. :wacky: Teehee. xD

Can't wait for more story line.

Have they mention anything about new summons coming out in Dissidia Duodecim? It will be a dissapointment if they didn't add any new summons in it. Has anyone heard of any news about them?
 
When Japan got the first game in December 2008, the final characters were revealed in October I think, so I think there's some precedent here for gradual reveals. We might have to just be a little patient xD

Also, about Vaan's VA possibly talking about Fortress, I thought that game got canceled or something :huh:

I don't think Tifa's eyes are orange, but they're not her original dark red-wine colour either. I'm guessing it might've been too dull of a colour for the game, so they tried to brighten her up...? Dissidia screams to me vibrancy, including the villains, so meh *shrugs*
 
Actually Tifa's eyes are supposed to be that bright, if not brighter. Her eyes were almost as bright and red as Vincent's in the game, and when the later games came out, she was given a way more toned down brown colour because they said it unbalanced the rest of her colour palette and made her look unrealistic.
