You have just been diagnosed with Schizophrenia and have been taken to the Saint Francis Intitute, a schizophrenia medical center, in order to recieve treatment. However as soon as you arrive you begin to see things. It doesn't come out fully at first but soon you begin to create worlds and places beyond your wildest dreams. But something has been lurking around St. Francis, something not very nice. Something that feeds off of imagination, killing off patients one by one. You are the only one who can stop it and solve the mystery which lies within. Can you survive before the line between reality and dreams weave together completely?

This Rp has basically not much plot added to it. You can choose to participate in it or live in your dream, carving out your own story. The rp is basically for participants to create their own realms. Characters in it will be able to see and feel and experience fantasy worlds, mostly thought they are simultaneously doing something in reality along with their dream world. Keep in mind that characters can also have certain mannerisms about them or ticks that disturb them. Either way I figured it'd make an interesting RP...

Name: Alex Michael Crowley
Age: 25
Appearance:

• Reality:

Alex sports an unbuttoned gray collar shirt with a black cotton t-shirt underneath. He also is seen wearing blue jeans, brown leather boots, a buckled brown belt, black sport watch, a silver chain necklace and a simple silver band ring. However after being admitted in the mental institution, Alex was given a simple white t-shirt and blue pants and all of his personal items were removed and locked in a vault in the same hospital.

• Dream: Most of the time in his dreams Alex sees himself wearing the same clothes he had the day he was admitted in the Mental Hospital. He sports the same unbuttoned gray collar shirt with a black cotton t-shirt underneath. He also is seen wearing blue jeans, brown leather boots, a buckled brown belt, black sport watch, a silver chain necklace and a simple silver band ring.

• • • On occasions, he imagines himself wearing a leather jacket with a gray collar buttoned collar shirt underneath, light blue jeans and black boots.

Personality/Mannerism:

• Prior to his breakdown, Alex was a boy who had it everything. He was finishing Med School, had a lovely girlfriend, parents that loved him, and in general, he had the kind of life most people would kill to have. Before the nightmares began, he was quite optimistic, joked around most of the time (some of his jokes were awful though...) and confident. Unfortunately all went downhill ever since he started experiencing the nightmares. His mood drastically altered from optimistic to pessimist, bluntly realist, sarcastic and sometimes cocky while hiding his self loathing.
• Among his personality traits is his bad habit to bite his nails, his lack of blinking when lying (which makes people believe he is always telling the truth), snapping his fingers to mark the end of something, staring at people for what seems to be no reason (he is in fact analyzing you), and being extremely detailed when it comes to describing medical procedures (he exaggerates the gore). He smirks a lot, forces smiles, and most of the time his jokes can be demeaning and downright hurting to most people. Talk about a complete flip...

Skills:

• Alex has vast knowledge over the field of medicine, especially surgical procedures since prior to his breakdown he aimed to become a renown surgeon. This same knowledge also makes him a great torturer...Among his less academic skills is his ability to pick locks (which got him in trouble once or twice during school), he can shoot a gun (yet his aim can be somewhat not the best around), and is able to eat fast... eat fast? How is that even an useful skill anyway? Who knows...

Background Check (History):
Even though Alex was not the perfect student, his optimism and hard work made him overcome many trials in life. He managed to cope with the death of his young brother at a tender age after the car crash which nearly cost him his life as well (they got hit by a drunk driver). Of course, like anyone outside, Alex had a dark secret too. There were times in which he would hear "voices" telling him what he should or shouldn't do though he had somehow managed to suppress or, at least, ignore them to some degree. Then there were the night terrors he suffered when he was under lot of stress which deprived him of hours of sleep and added more weight to his already stressful life.

To most people, Alex lead a semi-perfect life; girlfriend, a decent job and had just finished med school and was filling for several hospitals. One could never imagine how someone as successful and hard working as Alex had been tormented through all these years by demons, of course, being in a logical world we are the word "demons" is less believable so we might incline to call it "schizophrenia".

Curiously Alex never gave many hints, at least not ones that could actually identify his condition. Sure he bit his nails a lot, had mood swings, and sometimes acted like a complete different person, but then again, most students behave like that as well. Then again, perhaps his sometimes erratic behavior changes was most likely the best clue they ever had. Unknown to his parents and perhaps to Alex himself, the young would-be surgeon sometimes experienced "blackouts" and "memory loss" which would lead to believe he either was "high" or perhaps that there was more to his mental condition than it meets the eye. As soon as he was admitted in the Mental Hospital the doctors diagnosed a mild Dissociative Personality Disorder, otherwise known as "Multiple Personalities". Doctors are inclined to believe he developed this as a result of trying to adapt to so many social environments while secretly dealing with his evolving schizophrenia.

Medical Record:
Unknown to Alex, he is not the first of his family to be diagnosed with schizophrenia. His uncle from his father's side, Robert Crowley, suffered a serious crisis after he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and lost everything in the process since he never showed signs of getting better. From his mother's side, his aunt Lilian was diagnosed with Dissociative Personality Disorder after it was discovered she was sometimes known as "Lilith" in other areas and she had very little near no memory of his other life.
Likes: Medicine, surgical procedures, books, his girlfriend, his family and jokes (his jokes).

Dislikes: The Mental Institution he is locked in, meddlers, loud people, the voices in his head, and himself (unknown to Alex, his other personality is somewhat aware of his true self and is seen struggling for control).

Funny...well actually it isn't funny but interesting, I somehow can relate to schizophrenic people since my aunt has schizophrenia and when she stayed home for a weekend she could have sworn she heard voices and saw people, like ghosts and whatnot.

Name of Split Personality: Raistlin Majere

Appearance (Reality):

Tsukasa stands in at about 5’7 and weighs around 140 pounds. A small and slender boy, he is physically weak. His blue eyes are actually quite normal where he comes from, but his white hair makes him stand out just about everywhere he goes. Always wearing long sleeves, Tsukasa doesn’t like to be touched very often.

Appearance (Dream/Split Personality):

The appearance of Raistlin is very different from that of Tsukasa. Raistlin stands in at 6’1, and weighs about 170 pounds. Tall and very light on his feet. The noticeable differences are the hair, the eyes, the style of clothing, and the huge difference in attitude (to be explained below). With red hair and red eyes, Raistlin can easily put someone off from even coming to say “hi” to him.

Personality/Mannerisms as Tsukasa: Tsukasa is a shy boy, who doesn’t enjoy social interactions well. In fact, he gets so nervous to the point where Raistlin will sometimes take over, hence why he’s in a mental home in the first place. Tsukasa is a good friend to have, if one is able to befriend him. He will do anything to attempt to protect a friend, but given his small stature, he can’t do much. Once Tsukasa starts to care for someone, his Schizophrenia starts to play at his mind, telling him horrible things about his friends being hurt. This often brings Raistlin out to play, due to Tsukasa’s stress.

Whenever Tsukasa retreats off to his own world, he takes to form of Raistlin. Raistlin is someone that Tsukasa imagines to be strong, high willed, and elegant. As much as Tsukasa wishes to be just like Raistlin, the closest he realizes he’ll ever be able to get is his split personality. Tsukasa feels as if he lacks the drive to ever be as great as he views Raistlin to be. The world that forms once Tsukasa is fully retreated is called “Stratise”, a world comprised of the many books, movies, and anime that Tsukasa has watched over the years. A land full of mystery and excitement, Tsukasa never gets tired of it.

Mannerisms include constant biting of the fingernails, biting of the lower lip, and whenever he isn’t paying attention to anything, humming.

Personality/Mannerisms of Raistlin: Raistlin isn’t one to beat around the bush. He’s going to open up, and tell you exactly how he feels about something, whether you like it or not. Raistlin is well spoken, and (when he wants to be) well mannered. Preferring to use the whole word, you’ll often find Raistlin speaking in terms such as “do not”, “will not”, and “could not”, instead of “don’t”, “won’t” and “couldn’t”. Often, when annoyed, Raistlin will curse in Latin, and language that Tsukasa doesn’t know. While Tsukasa is shy, and weak, Raistlin is outgoing, constantly angry, and strong.

Raistlin finds Tsukasa to be rather annoying, and finds it annoying that he has to share the same brain as “the annoying little whelp of whore”.

Mannerisms of Raistlin include popping his fingers, rolling of the eyes when annoyed, and twiddling his fingers.

Skills as Tsukasa: Acute problem solving, Mathematical prowess, and figuring out how machines work.

Skills as Raistlin: Problem solving, sword play, lifting heavy objects, and climbing.

History: Tsukasa used to be an average, normal, 17 year old. Most of his days spent reading novels that he checked out from the library, watching movies, or watching anime. Being smaller, and weaker than most other people, he was often picked on. This continued until Tsukasa would retreat into his own little world. At first, it was supposed to be the plot of a novel he wanted to write. However, it soon became apparent that to Tsukasa, it was much more than that.

His parents would notice that Tsukasa would sit there, for hours on end, looking at the wall with a blank expression on his face. While they saw this, Tsukasa firmly believed that he was in Stratise, a world unlike any other. This same world is where Tsukasa met Raistlin, and using his somewhat superior intellect, tricked Raistlin into coming back to Earth with him. Thus, creating his split personality.

While at school, Raistlin would sit and watch as Tsukasa was bullied by those much bigger than him. Unhappy with the way Tsukasa was handling it, he forced Tsukasa to let him take control, as he murdered one of the bullies with a sword (which was, in reality, a broken broom handle that he shoved into the bullies’ heart).

Tsukasa was then taken to court, where he explained everything to his parents, the lawyers, and the judge. The decision was agreed upon by everyone, Tsukasa would be spending his time at the Saint Francis Institute.

Name: Elanora Jones
Age: 21
Appearance(Reality):

Elanora is a woman with black hair of which she keeps long and down her back. She's pale and skinny for her age. She usually contains dark spots around her eyes from lack of sleep and wears a white shirt and pants from the institution. She can often be seen sitting with her knees up to her chest thinking or smiling.

Dream - She see's herself as wearing clothing from her days of her favorite action television series Buriken, an anime styled show that she has to catch at 8 o clock every day. Though the characters from the show are young heroines from highschool who fight off demons she wears a school girl attire with a short skirt and buttoned up short sleeve white shirt. She also wears thigh high leggings and school girl shoes. She see's herself as a sort of heroine herself.

Personality/Mannerisms: Elanora is very much a quiet and humble young girl who is usually shy towards everyone she meets. She often expresses her opinion reguardless of what others tell her and doesn't really think about people's feelings before speaking to them. Her mild autism causes this, but she can mostly think and act in most social situations. When she thinks she stares blankly into space ignoring everything else. She tends to imagine alot and see's things aorund her in a different way. She has an imaginary spirit she says who speaks to her. Shes generally innocent and means no harm to others.

Skills: Elanora is good at solving problems in a time of trouble. She does this by thinking for long periods of time and speaking with her unknown "friend" who talks to her. She had always been good at school subjects when she was little.

History: Elanora was a very lonely girl growing up and had nobody but her best friend to talk to. Her parents were middle class and helped her live a very normal life. It wasn't until they learned that Elanora's "best friend" was actually fake did they raise a bit concerned. Throughout highschool she was picked on for constantly speaking to herself and never having any friends. She was always pretty much seen as odd by the people around her.

As she grew older her symptoms of hearing and talking to her imaginary friend only seemed to grow worse and she had begun to tell her parents of seeing things that seemed odd. By the time she got out of highschool she was forced to go to a mental institution despite her protests. She in no way believes that there is anything wrong with her and has attempted to run away from the institution many times. On occassion she says she can feel a "prescence" in the place that's out to get her and the other patients.

Mostly after she arrived she's don'e nothing but watch televison and speak with nurses. She has met many of the patients in te institution and often looks for new friends to make from time to time. She often get's lost in the building facility and blends the reality of her situation with things she's seen from television. Her alternate dimension helps her feel safe and assured that she can escape from that place one day.
