I know the princes were around 20-22 years of age, but what about the princesses?
I know this:
Ariel - 16
Aurora - Turned 16
Snow White - 12 or 14 (around there)
I think I heard that Cinderella was 17 or whatever.
 
I knew that they were young, as they are all young maidens just ripening etc, but I had absolutely no idea that Snow White was supposed to be THAT young, especially in the Disney film.

Honestly, I found this out like 10 minutes ago or so. I was very surprised. Actually, I still am. Especially knowing the prince was in his 20s. I know this was back then, but come on.. 12? lol
 
Yeah, that's quite crazy. I would have placed her as OLDER than the other princesses, not younger.

12 years old is pretty young, even for a fairy tale. :O

I wonder how old Alice in Alice in Wonderland would be. Probably like.. 6 or something equally surprising.
 
For Alice I'd probably go for about 10-11, though I wouldn't be suprised if she was a few years younger than that.


How old was Belle? 17?

Beauty and the Beast is my favourite disney movie!

Belle is 19! I'm sure she is. I had to do an assignment on this movie in highschool once. XD

But it is kinda icky that the princes were significantly older than most of the princesses. <_<

Hmm. Looks was totally off ! Espically Snow White !!

Alice was kinda guessing maybe 13 but now maybe thinking she could be ten ?

It's kinda annoying how Disney doesn't really count Nala as a proper Princess just because she isn't human. But kind of believe that she should be included because thought that she was a very strong and independent women which would be great for younger women to look up to. But nope. Disney's gotta stay with the humans. >_>

They did the same in KH1 with rejecting Ariel from the Princesses of Heart list because she wasn't in her human form in the video game version of the story. She would of been better than just randomly adding Alice ! ^^''- seriously, Alice - a princess ?- whhuut ??

I don't want to sound perverted or anything, but I suppose that's why Snow doesn't or barely has a chest. To be honest, I always thought she *did* have a chest but now that I pay attention.. lol
 
Aurora was quite a bit younger than Prince Philip, she was a baby when his dad takes him to see her so I just assumed he was like......9 or something, making her 16 when she pricks her finger and him 24 25 ish?

Ariel was defo 16 aswel, said as much in the film, she shrieks IM 16 YEARS OLD somewhere :gasp:

OH ! That's right ![ * Remembers now * ] Young Phillip was looking at Aurora in the baby cradle.

So she must be really be sixteen. She gets married to Eric at the end too.

Wait how are you guys determining their ages? I know for a fact that Ariel was only 16 when she met and married Eric since it states so in the film. Aurora was 16 too, but as for the rest, I don't really remember somewhere in the film that implies their exact age. I have heard that Snow White was indeed a very young princess and 12-14 sounds about right.

Actually, I think Walt said it himself. Either him or others who worked for him. I'm betting most of these came from the internet though. I've heard about their ages from friends etc. and I didn't ask how they found out. I was too stunned at Snow White's age.
