Playstation Dino Crisis Revival? (Dino Crisis 4)

Well do you think Dino Crisis should be revived? Capcom is haing a huge announcement in April and of Course I am hoping its gonna be Dino Crisis IV. Come on enough with Resident Evil for now! I know RE is a great game but come on its Time for Dino Crisis to shine like seriously. A few years ago Capcom announced that Dino Crisis 4 would hit playstation 3 in the future. So is this big announcement gonna be DC IV? I loved I AND II BUT 3 was Absolute Shit. Dinosaurs in space tec tec (WHos idea was that) Oh and btw if they dont bring my girl Regina back im seriously gonna be pissed. Regina Forever! Sonya was awesome too but she was in III the shite game. So how many Dino crisis fans are Here? What do you think of the series? I Am hoping its gonna be IV and Regina AS THE MAIN LEAD. Dylan should come back too and Maybe others. I really liked Sonya but if they decide to bring her back plz not in SPACE :ffs: Dino crisis NEEDS TO BE REVIVED!!!!
 
I've never played a Dino Crisis game in my life, though I did play the demo of the first one once. They did look quite good at the time, and I'm very much a dinosaur fan so I've always been interested in hunting dinosaurs in the modern world.

I was, however, terrified of the demo. :D I kept getting eaten, and I couldn't work the controls well enough to escape from them or shoot them without being terrified. I was just a kid back then though I guess.

If this announcement is indeed to be for Dino Crisis IV then I might consider getting the game, as I missed out on Dino Crisis.

In fact I don't have many dinosaur games at all (I only have Jurassic Park: The Lost World and Peter Jackson's King Kong, and I'm sure that is it). I guess I am in the mood for a dinosaur game to look forward to, so I'll be happy if they do anounce it, and I'll keep an eye open for updates on the game development if they do. I might get it if they do it.
 
Dino Crisis was one of the best PS1 games I have played and that is excluding Resident Evil 3 Outbreak. I loved Dino Crisis 1 and 2 and this is the first time I have ever heard of the possible Dino Crisis 4.

They were scary, especially the first one. The second one had more action into it, but was still scary as freaking hell. Dino Crisis 3 on the other hand.. well to be fair I want to forget that game ever existed and move on :wacky:

I loved DC 2 and played through it some 20 times to unlock everything.

The problem about reviving an IP after so long is how it'll adapt to the current trends in gaming. DC was before dual stick control was incorporated in EVERY game. Will we still get those controlled camera angles instead of a... oh... i don't know... Turok?

If they make it a dime a dozen FPS then it might just sink like a lead baloon. I think the way to go might be to look at how Resident Evil made the switch. Dead Space could also have its fair share of influence on DC IV in terms of how to handle a survival horror.
 
I played the first 2 games with my cousin when we were younger and we love them! The one in space seemed mad and we didnt bother with it lol. As for a remake, I dunno. The old one was good for the creepy and terrifying atmosphere given. And knowing a TRex was round the corner was awesome!! As long as they can create the same feeling, then yeah go for it!

And yeah Regina was a damn good heroine! Loved her hair!!

I've only ever played 1 and that game was AMAZING. Especially the (many) T Rex encounters xD

Back when I had it I was just a kid and naturally was scared of everything, I do hope this is a DC4 announcement though with Regina's return :D
 
Yay great to see some Dino crisis Fans here! Also yes SS Regina was a really hot sexy red headed brave heroine xD. I Defo want her to be back in Dino Crisis IV and im really hoping this announcement is DC IV! If it isnt then I will get pissed xD. Btw Damo you should play Dino Crisis II that game was so EPIC even better than I. When you beat the game you can play as the dinosaurs and you can keep replaying the game to get the other Dinos! :D If cany just imagine Regina in next gen graphics :ryan:
 
You just can't find the DC games anywhere anymore, least in my experience :hmmm: I lost my old copy of 1 and I want to find a new one :gonk:

I think DC2 was the first to incorporate multiplayer too, wasn't it? :hmmm:
 
Awwww I know I still have em but Damo you can always buy I off of psn and I think II should come on there soon too. Also yes Dino Crisis II was the first to have multiplayer(Dino Duel) You take a dinosaur and your buddy or whoever takes another dinosaur and you duke it out but You have to beat the game to get both Dino colliseum and Dino Duel. Dino Crisis I had Costumes and Operation wipeout if you beat the game. Also Dino Crisis I has Multiple endings! I got all of em and they can be tough if you dont know what you are doing. II has different pictures at the end of each playthrough it depends what rank you get. I think S rank was the sexy Regina in a dress looking at the beach or something >_> :awesome:

I find this interesting... What if they did have a DC4 and then had online play? Would there likely be a mode where people can play as the dinosaurs and try and hunt humans? That would be pretty epic. Though I guess that is me just imagining and drooling over the thought of a kick-ass dinosaur game. :hmmm:

Also, I agree with Argie, a Dinos vs Humans mode would be made of sex, imagine if they threw in a T Rex? :wacky: UNKILLABLE :awesome:
 
Well Argie Im sure there could be Online Dinosaur Duels or something like you are Regina, Gail, Rick, Dylan and whoever else and have dinosaurs keep going at us. The goal is to kill all dinosaurs and survive as a squad. I know that Dino colliseum should return! Or even a co-op adventure like UC2 and other games :D That would be made of sex xD
 
Maybe stuff like hunting to get the most points from killing dinos, a dinos vs humans, humans vs humans etc etc? :hmmm:

I could see the online challenges being quite vast for this sort of game.
 
Yeah that kind of stuff would be so awesome Damo. I would love if all that were in it! Also yes it is on psn. I think over there too did you check the whole psn? If so it might be coming xD :D
 
my data for dino crisis 2 was 99 lol,i loved it so much that i overplayed it,best ps1 game in history imo.the first one was awesome also but not better then dino crisis 2.the 3rd one....ahhhh ruined the series,it was developed by not the director that did the first one and the second one.I want dino crisis 4 and i see no problem of it coming out soon.
 
...this thread's title gave me false hope. I've only played through the first game via PSN but I have to say I was really impressed by the game. It gave me such a nostalgic reaction from playing the older Resident Evil games while still being a completely different game. The creepy atmosphere, the amount of scares, limited ammo etc. You can not say when the T-rex made it's first appearance the first time you played the game it did not scare you.

the t.rex scared the shit out of me in the chiefs room at first,it still scared me after a lot of times,the scariest parts are the raptors coming out of the window and the t.rex.
 
Im guessing Ebay is going to be your best bet on getting any more disk versions. Just had a check now and they are like 99p starting bids lol. Tempted XD
 
Hey fellor's. i just wanted to ask you fellor's, what version was better.
Dino Crisis (Playstation) or Dino Crisis (Dreamcast)?
Are the graphics better lookin on the dreamcast? or the same as ps?
I know there's a pc version also, but i'd rather get a console one.
I was checking out ebay for old game's an saw that there sellin all 3 part's for sort of cheap. Would rather have a hard copy with the case an artwork then a downloaded copy off psn.

And i too hope they make a dino crisis 4 someday. Still gotta play thro the old one's first tho.
 
I can't say since I've only played the PS1 version however if it is anything like RE2/3 I am sure Capcom put a few small extras into the game. To be honest I was going to buy the DC version until I found out it was coming out on PSN and I can't resist a good PS1 game on the go.
