Did you ever overuse a summon just for show, not power

Bahumat was my fav summon but for the look on overdrives it was probz Anima and Valefor's secret overdrive

Plus Yojimbo's sword was cool :P

I think every time I got an aeon I would build up the overdrive and use it on some weak creature, for a massive overkill.

This was the case with anima, and I would frequently use him afterwards and like above, it was awesome just to use his pain attack. Oblivion is the shizzah though!

I didn't know you could 'overuse' an Aeon.
I used Bahamut and Anima countless times. Not because they looked cool, but because of their power. The only time I've actually given a shit about what an Aeon's overdrive or summon looks like is when I first use it. Other than that, I don't care.

Who here actually used that Valefor too many times to count?

Overdrive wise I overuse Valefor's Energy Blast always like that one, kinda funny too seems like the beam(s) or ray(s) come out of its chest/stomach rather then its mouth. But I overuse Yojimbo alot more, even though technically all his attacks are "Special" Attacks not overdrives, and his entrance is pretty neat, plus he has a doggeh! o:

Shiva and Ifrit.
Those two were my absolute favorite summons so I would often summon them just to see the summon animation and then of course their overdrives were pretty awesome as well.
I'm considered a pyromaniac to those closest to me and I adore the winter time so it would only be natural that I liked those two and their summon/overdrive animations just for show. And of course power.

=P

I summon Bahamut a lot because it looks so darn cool, and everything it does looks cool, the Megaflare overdrive is of course fantastic. :awesome:

After casting at least Haste, and maybe Protect and/or Shell, sometimes Regen, I spend most turns Doublecasting Ultima, it does 99999 damage to most enemies, and it deals that damage twice per turn, and doesn't take a bunch of turns away to cast Ultima when you use Doublecast. :)

I used Anima way to much because I love its overdrive. On the rare occasion its eye was bleeding from using Pain lke 65456786 in a row i just ignored that.

D: cruelty to summons~ </3

I mainly used some Summons for their overkill potential, but later on, I summoned Bahamut just for fun. Given that their attributes are based off Yuna's, once she gets some decent Str+ spheres under her belt, the Bahamut can come along and absolutely squash everyone.

It's not necessary, but it is soooo satisfying.

No i never used them for show, in fact the whole summoning sequences were getting really annoying after a while. In fact I only used aeonsin boss battles because otherwise it just seemed like a waste of time.

I'd usually only use each Aeon a few times. Once to see the animations, always. The other times were just when it was necessary.

I personally don't tend to use Summons / Aeon's / Espers / whateverelseFFlikestouseasaname. I find them irritating and time consuming. D:

over use for show? me?

never.
i use each summon once for show. only watching it full once, just to see what they look like. after that i use them only when necessary. yes i admit they are pretty awesome but it does get tiresome, and to me it takes to long.

I never really tend to use summons that much in any of the Final Fantasy games. I usually just use them once just to see what they look like, or if I really need to use them, like in some of the boss battles in X where you're forced to use summons.

But, I like Bahamut's the best in X. He looks badass.

LoL
Definitely! I went kinda crazy with Anima and the Magus Sisters but they were really strong so the battles were short

I never really used summons at all tbh. My characters were often more powerful than the aeon :D although I used Anima for his/her/it's awesome overdrive. If I was to use one for show though 'twould be Bahamut :awesome:

Ya cought me. I am almost always guilty of this. My favorite overdrive is Bahamut's and Anime's. Everytime that I recieve a new Aeon I always fight with him just so I can watch the overdrive. I love to watch any overdrive type attacks in the FF series too.

No I have never used them for show after the first few times.

It gets too repetitive and all you want is for them to attack already and you have to wait a minute or so just for them to parade about and enter dramatically. XD

It gets annoying when you just want to play the game and always have to wait for silly things like this.

I wish there was the option to skip through it and get to the action. >_<
