Hal you
Get given the option to save after the credits and when you re-load this save you can teleport back to Gran Pulse

Whoa, FFXIII talk, and I missed it all when it happened. :(

I only played for like an hour and a half or so last night. I'm still on Chapter 10. I had beaten the major boss encounter there the other night and last night I finished off the Chapter (I think anyways). I just got the latest upgrade from that Chapter as well. I'm also starting to see some huge stat boosts in the Crystarium, so I'm anticipating some crazy battle activity upcoming.

I was telling Mits this a few days ago, but I don't really understand the whole 'when your leader dies, it's game over' deal. Then when you deal with Bombs and they all want to Self-destruct in front of my leader, I don't stand a chance. It puts way too much dependency on the Sentinel role. And also as a rule of thumb, I don't like to make Snow or Fang the leader because I feel the computer controls the Sentinel's commands better than I do.

I have to agree with sentinels being better when the computer uses.

But, bombs can be dealt with by chaining them very quickly in order to keep their health down. They only explode when they fill up their health bars, so as long as you kill them fast they don't get the chance to do so.

And "yes" would be all I have to say to crazy battles to come :D

Is this true, their health has to be full in order for them to explode? :hmmm: I was wondering why they weren't exploding right away when I went into Sentinel mode. Shit, that's great advice, thank you Lee! That would mean a simple Blitz would prevent any Bomb from exploding, so long as I keep their health from filling.

Delta Attack works wonders for instant deaths. You remember the Deckdrones in Chapter 9? They do this damn move called Tornado Kick that kills all your parties, not to mention the battle is pretty intense. Well, just as I saw that they were about to do the Tornado Attack, I switched to Delta Attack Paradigm and it still killed Fang (and Hope, naturally), but at least Lightning was still barely standing. So I quickly used Odin rather than wasting my Phoenix Downs, because after you use a summon, everyone gets revived with full health. :) So summons are pretty much my back-up plan and will only use them for dire situations.

xD Summons also remove ALL negative status affects Mits.

but yeah Delta attack, Solidarity and Mystic tower are great paradigms for lower level or weaker parties.

Also, just got my first Genji glove of three.

Attempted the last fight after hours of grinding...still isn't enough. Fuck you evil long nailed pope! FUCK YOU :rage:

So i'm off to grind again....oh what a joy that will be.

Well Lee spam B or O with Hecatoncheir in Gestalt mode and it does so much frikin damage and then when you do your special move its so frickin powerful too. Bahamut did 99000 on my game and Hecaton did 179000. Im sure Hecaton is strongest at offense and Alexander at defense.

Mega Flare level 3 is the strongest Eidolon spell. If you use Hecaton more often then his spell will be stronger than Bahamut's.

And is that the last boss Nick?

If you want a hand with tactics I can help you because you shouldn't need to grind too much man.

*EDIT* Also for those who are interested 538,000 is now my highest hit. I will attmept to get a photo of this for you lovely people :D

Ugh, don't remind me of the Deckdrones. If there were like 3 of them, it wasn't a big deal, but the 2 encounters where you have like 8 of them, it was instant death to the one they all went after. Even Fang would die in Sentinel mode with a Medic and she was guarded, but Hope would manage to live it. Now that underlined part is very interesting, including what Lee said about getting rid of negative effects. I'm not sure if I've had a situation where only my leader was standing, but it's nice to know I have another option! :ryan: I noticed Renew is basically a Mega Phoenix but without the damage to the enemy, and that only costs 2 TP's.

Yeah I try to make good points. Occassionally.

Anyway as promised here is my second most damage ever hit, sorry I couldn't get the Chain Bonus quite as high this time it's a tiny bit lower...

Still pretty cool huh? :D

Try using Hecaton Lee lemme see what happens :gasp; Do the same but with Hecaton ok?

Ok so I am now At the end of Oerba and that damned bitch blocks my path once more. Oh and LEe I got a razor carbine level 13 and its weaker the the edged carbine star by a bit. So which is better really? Why is it weaker though? will it be stronger? And The boss in Oerba is LONG. Its that damned bitch! Also I found 3 parts for Bhakti. Was tired so ill find the other 2 tommorow.

Razor Carbine has the potential to be better if you keep upgrading it. It's weird how upgrading weapons works in Final Fantasy XIII. You upgrade so that the weapon can get better but starts off by getting worse. Nevertheless:

Max Damage for Edged Carbine: 83
Max Damage for Razor Carbine: 190

So the Razor Carbine will eventually become better over time.

Is this a FFXIII thread now?
Yes. :wacky:

What was your setup to win this fight and is there another fight after this one?

I have Ultima weapon now, should i boost that further or leave it?

/me watches the tumbleweed. :tumbleweed:

Anyone wanting to go on UC2 now? I might be having a few games with the Jimbob. Anyone is welcome to come (honestly, any time!).

The next few days I'll be able to play at odder times than usual too as I'm taking a few days off from doing anything. 5 day weekend for the win. :hmmm: (since lectures are cancelled on wedensday, and I have monday and tuesday off anyway).

EDIT - Just realised the time. So by "later" I meant NOW!!! :-)sad3:)

Oh ffs. My internet keeps disconnecting from PSN. I have to unplug it, then plug it back in to sign in, but then it just signs me out again.

It doesn't do this when I'm on the PC... and it's using the same ethernet cable.

This had better not be a problem with slims, now. :mokken:

Ugh I just Lost again on the frickin Final Boss of FF XIII -__- I swear I wanna beat him by tommorow or so. DAMN YOU LAST BOSS!!!! Im powerful though and I know I can beat it. I just need to take my time. Grinded to 200000 cp and used it all up. :mokken:

As a note, one of the achievements/trophies is to 5 star that battle. So you may want to grind a little longer and get it done, quickly. :wacky:
