Curses!

Well incase Koloth didnt tell ya, there were new monsters added to HoW and HoM on the 3rd floor. In HoW the NeoShadow 2 just got an upgrade (+5 spd and more HP). As for the Mages one im not to sure. Havent ventured over to take a look yet so Koloth can tell ya ^^ The NeoShadow 2 is lvl 48 so itll be alittle more easier (thanks to Reality.Fantasy's complaining xD) way to be!!

In the Hall of Mages, the Golden Golem was the one to get the upgrade.
 
Oh that's just perfect. Golden Golems are harder than Neoshadows...
 
Golden golems are too easy, I must challenge them sometime and see how the upgrade improved them.
 
On their own they are easy. But when there are 2 or more, immolate becomes a pain.
 
Not really, I always take them on in groups and have no trouble, probably there is a weak point in your stats? MDEF perhaps?
 
It is MDEF. I have no problem with two or three Immolates because I built mine up, but for people with like, 10 or 20 it's a pain. >.<
 
Well when someone like me only has 10 MDEF its tougher. Thats why i like fighting in the HoW. Does the Golden Golems give more XP by anychance?
 
The original RPG was harder. Roda Volcano made it REALLY hard with so many enemies. If you didn't have enough speed, then you were pretty much fucked.

Yeah, and not to mention areas like Zanarkand and the Farplane with the hordes of zombies I added, or Castle Oblivion and the Fortress of Trials, and perhaps I should mention the Lost Cathedral. Aye Gabe, if they think Neo Shadows are hard it is because they never fought my little pet Bahamut left at the end of the Lost Cathedral:wacky:
 
But remember, they did those areas with pets. I was considering a Roda Volcano type place. But I will do it after people get pets. Julius, it will be more of a nightmare than any place done before. *snickers* Don't worry. There will be no Incarnates.
 
Well i have low MDef and they cast double immolate or whatever on me...and although it does a certain damage when doubled i easily recover with cura and haste.

It's all a matter of how you build your stats, a player who as low MD needs good magic and speed it's as simple as that.

And Julius is right you should have seen the monsters on the Farplane..zombie mages who casted curaga. Zombie Knights who casted bio. and in groups of 3 or 5...that area was hard.
 
Just promise me there will be no more Giants! Those things had 30,000 Hp and 2 Energy Drinks That's 78,000 HP per and then they gave out 1.3 xp (says Julius) If there are any more of those I will be unnaturally pissed.
 
We are not going to make any character percentage guys this time around. That was annoying. The only guys, who will be character percentage, will be the bank guards.

well i am currently level 48 and the fights against 2 Neo shadow's and 2 Bats are currently giving me 6 EXP. considering the difficulty of these battles isn't this a small amount of EXP to be gaining? its especially difficult considering that the neo shadow's both cast curse and the bats use haste so i end up having like 1 attack then the opponent has like 6 or something. i can win i just don't get enough EXP. does anyone else have this problem and can you RPG mods make them give out more EXP or make the fight easier please
 
You could also be a bit clever with the bats. Simply kill them off, then just keep youself healed and your all set. With the bats dead they can't get lots of turns and with high-ish MDEF their curse attacks will be meaningless.
 
Merged threads because this topic has already been discussed. Well it is like that for a reason. You cannot gain 80 + EXP all the time or everybody would be really high levels too early.

Also, EXP is based on your level. But I guess you knew that.
