My favorite anime of all time, i love how the episodes go into a bit of detail on the characters backgrounds. My favorite episode out of all of them is Real Folk Blues pt 2. I still wonder if they'll ever confirm if Spike is alive or not after his final bout with Vicious.

I heard about the live action movie and i was appalled, I really hope they don't mess it up. Keanu as Spike is really a bad idea, i still don't know why they chose him for the role.

I hope they are joking bout live action film!!!! Otherwise Im torching Hollywood. Bebop is an amazing anime and it needs to stay an anime!!! Man, that anime made ma lark and cry. OST is just amazing. And the ending and me in tears!

I actually called my chinese dwarf hamster Edward. Which was funny as we didnt know if she was male or female and she was a girl! Just like the anime, how freaking awesome ^^

Brilliant anime, one of my favourites. Characters (Spike is one of the coolest characters in any medium ever), music, storyline, that devastating ending - all grade A. I especially love the episode Toys in the Attic.

If the live action film ever comes to fruition, it'll probably stink (Adrien Brody would make a far better Spike than Keanu Reeves, he has that awkward gangly look). But it matters little, nothing can take away how good this show was.

Besides there already was a live-action Cowboy Bebop made in the USA, it was called Firefly/Serenity.

Cowboy Bebop is easily one of my favorite animes. The characters are so well-developed and interesting, and the quality of the animation is fantastic. For instance, I love Dragonball Z, but you often encounter episodes where the animation is horribly poor. It'll look great one scene, then the next scene will resemble cruddy fanart. Cowboy Bebop is a blast to watch all the way through.

I'm not sure if I can pick a single episode for a favorite, but the one with Andy (the cowboy rival who looks like Spike) usually comes to mind first when I try to narrow the entire series down. haha

I don't think I need to say how big of a fan I am. Just look at my set XD.

I practically worship this anime. I've seen many since then, but Cowboy Bebop has remained my all time favorite. Everything just seemed to come together in this anime. Characters, story, music, artistic style. Not to mention it had everything you could ask for. Action, romance, comedy, swords AND guns, sci fi one day, down to earth the next.

Honestly, I find its one of those things you can rant about until your blue in the face, but a person doesn't truly understand how great it is until they sit down and see it themselves.

You haven't heard about the movie SapphireStar? You'll love this then. Guess who's playing Spike? KEANU REEVES. Yeah, when I first heard, I think for a few moments I contemplated murdering as many hollywood execs as possible before offing myself. Hehehe...just kidding FBI agent who might be reading this. XD One thing in particular I find amazing is with the characters of Vicious and Julia. They both have such a hold over Spike, but through the entire series, you only see them a handful of times. For Julia in particular. You already saw little of Vicious, but you saw even less of her. Yet they both seemed to tug at you and stuck in your mind. Even though Vicious isn't that pure evil villain, he's still one of my favorite bad guys in anime. One of my favorite anime characters in general.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Yoko Kanno. Pure love. Genius personified.

What I especially like is the relationships between the characters - they're all very solitary yet as the series goes on a 'family' structure grows between them and even Faye acknowledges that the Bebop is the one place she can come back to. There's some really good character moments, like in the last episode when Spike and Jet laugh their heads off over something
even though both know Spike is about to face Vicious and might well not come back
, or the end of the episode Speak Like a Child where you see a side of Faye you never thought you would see, and it even stuns Spike and Jet into silence.

And remember people, 'don't leave things in the fridge!'

Besides there already was a live-action Cowboy Bebop made in the USA, it was called Firefly/Serenity.

Brilliant lol :-) Love that show.

Im not happy at the news of a live action. Hollywood butchered DragonBall, they going to make a shitty live action of Sailor Moon? I love the Japanese version, but if I get a shitty American one ... then yeah burn Hollywood!!

Bebop is such an emotional anime, dont think Ive encountered such a powerful anime since I watched it back in 2004 I think it was. As charliepanayi mentioned the relationships are like an odd family one, just like Fireflys cast.

Hands down, undisputed, greatest anime I have ever watched. I'm not worried about the Live Action Adaption though, it couldn't touch this.

Fans will probably watch it, and ask themselves...

The fuck is this shit? Were you people high when you made this film? I thought this was supposed to be Cowboy Bebop, not a mediocre softcore porn romance with lots of gunfire and smoke.

I would have to agree with the people who have already posted. It's a great anime. I loved every second of it, the story was really engaging and I quite liked the anime movie they made for it.
The music made the series though. I have loads of the songs on my iPod. Yoko Kanno really is talented and I loved how the fight scenes were set to the music and how each song worked perfectly with the scene it was playing in.

I don't mind about the live action movie. Hollywood always screws classics up anyway. It was just a matter of time before it got it's claws into Cowboy Bebop. I'll probably still watch it to see what it's like though :wacky:

Have to agree with that, the music for this anime was simply amazing... Once I get the opening, ending, or that song that plays when Vicious knocks Spike out the window in the top of the cathedral in my head, it's hard to get out.

There was quite a lot of good music for this anime, no doubt.

Heavy Metal Queen, Tank, The Real Folk Blues, Rush and Call Me are just amazing tracks. Call Me still moves me to tears, that was such an emotional episode for me, I just cry now thinking about the song. I kept shouting at the TV "ED! GO BACK!!!"

Jeez, Im proper crying, sad cow.

This might be silly but watching Spike kick ass through the episodes gave me motivation to pick up Jeet kune Do, i'm still having trouble getting some of the moves down though lol.

Now that i'm rewatching it again, i feel like getting into hacking stuff like edward :P

Wow, if you can move like Spike thats impressive! Although you may get into trouble if you can hack like Edward. But I'll admit I wanted to hack when I watched this and Criminal Minds lol. BUT I WONT! Im a good girl :P

I actually wrote an episode for my media course in college bout 6 years ago based on Cowboy Bebop and I got a top mark! So who says anime is bad for you???

But we are talking about Cowbop Bebop KS. We havent mentioned anything that isnt CB. Not being disrespectful, but Im confused about that mod edit :|

That's okay. I had to delete a post because it had absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand. So you may not have seen it before I deleted it. It's just a reminder to stay on topic for other members as well, as I could see it getting derailed.

Thanks. =)

Please continue topic discussion.

Want me to delete mine?? Sorry KS :-)

K, well I cant believe no one has mentioned Cowboy the movie. Didnt anyone like it lol? I enjoyed it because it was just like a long episode of the show. I even had a game years ago before I knew what CB was! It was bit hard to play as it was in Japanese lol.

I could've just edited it but ok then.

OH i can't believe i forgot about the movie! Yeah the movie's great too, though i sorta went out of order when i saw it lol. I was supposed to watch it before the real folk blues pt 1 and pt2. I was confused for awhile and what happening first.

Ah, I love Cowboy Bebop! It's one of the best animes out there and a classic. It was sad in the way of how it ended...like most animes. The movie was pretty damn awesome too. I think Vicious was an awesome villian to have :P

What a coincidence, I watched the last few episodes today and then this thread pops up. :)

Great series, I like the characters and how the western, detective and space movie genres get wrapped into one. The ending was a bit weird imo, you get to know how Spike's story ends, but what about Faye and Jet? It felt like the had forgotten about them the last minutes of the show...

I'll watch the movie soon, I hope it is as good as the series.
