Could this be the worst staus affect ever? Yes, i do think so

You are happily going about your businss, probably haven't saved for a while and one of your guys gets confused. And its normally your strongest guy, who chooses not only to wipe out your entire party but then smack himself round the chops for good measure resulting in total annhiliation.

Or worse still, your whole party gets afflicted with it.....

I hate confuse, I hate all bad statuses tbh, but confuse can suck my cock -__-

I hate hate HAAAAAAATE confuse. If your whole party gets cast with it, you're completely and totally fucked, because, as you said, they go around smacking the shit out of each other and themselves before all of your party is dead. Like, two of them get hit with confuse and they attack your one member who didn't get confused and kill them, and then kill themselves. Or your strongest one gets hit with it, they attack the rest of your party killing them off and then kill themselves. OR the whole bloody party gets hit with it. -__- You're absolutely powerless when hit with confuse if nobody can cast esuna to counter it...

I really hate it when you encounter a Malboro and the bastard attacks with Bad Breath right away. That happened so much in X and it pissed me off so fucking bad until I was able to get a weapon with First Strike. How the hell are you supposed to defend yourself if there's nothing there to allow you to! I try and run away from them before they even get the chance to attack me if I can. Confuse, IMO, has to be the WORST possible status affect ever. -__-

Ugh, enemies tend to cast confuse on my best melee characters or best magic users. I don't think I've ever had Confuse casted on ALL of my characters at the same time (if so I can't remember), but it was pretty close to that. It's horrible and makes me cringe all the time. Literally.

I actually hope that those who has the Confuse status would hit themselves instead so they can die already and I can revive them and start anew.

Worst status ever, especially if your character is overpowered, he can be the highest threat to others members >_<. Personally i HATE the ones who are constantly casting "Confuse" like Malboro/Imp's i usually have lots of items to cure status effects.

I always try having my team members protected against Confuse, since i get annoyed at Malboros/Imp's and start Casting Summons or Limit Breaks, just to get them out of my way >_<

I personally hate that status effect for the simple reason that it tends to kill off my own party members more with critical hits then it does on the enemies itself. Oh yeah, it sucks more when a magic user heals the enemy or uses black magic on my allies too.

I agree with the majority here. Confuse sucks. I remember that I recently was at the Tower of the Dead inside Sin, right at the end of the game where you have to collect the white crystals and I was using Tidus, Rikku, and Wakka and none of them had protection against confuse status and suddenly I encounter a Malboro. He hits me with Bad Breath. I barely survived because I was lucky enough for Rikku to land a hit on him. Otherwise it would've been game over and I would need to start all the process again. Ugh! Stupid confuse.

I still hate Charm far more than Confuse...it's basically the same status only there's NO possibility that you'll still hit your enemies and your enemies won't attack Charmed people, but WILL still stupidly attack Confused ones...so Confuse is a bother, but since it's easy to dispel & still has a 50/50 chance of no effecting your own party once one of your party is Confused, I think there are far worse statuses.

Oh and what REALLY bugs me about confuse is when I USE AN ELIXER. I'm like noooooooo I have TWO elixers TWO!! and a million of everything else and you choose to use the item that I get twitchy over and rarely use because they are as rare as rocking horse shit...ok, maybe not that rare, but meh, I get twitchy over my elixers >_>

I never have too much bother with confuse, enemies tend to heal me of confuse with a weak melee attack so I can then heal everyone and resume fighting. :D

very rare am I wiped out by confuse, though when I do... It is again... the great and mighty... Malboro :gasp::gasp::gasp:

I was playing FFV last night and my Black Mage got confused. Bastard used Firaga on my party. If my Dragoon hadn't been equipped with a fire shield I would've been wiped out.

Confuse definately sucked, but I rarely have that big of a problem with it. In XII I always had an ensuna gambit set up so it was cured pretty quickly if I got hit with it. Of course I did get killed a few times before I could cure it, but it didn't happen that often...

As for X, those Marboro's bad breath was my worst enemy! After awhile, I just started summoning aeons whenever I ran into so that I didn't have to deal with it anymore. And when I ran into other fiends that hit one of my characters with confuse, usually they'd re-hit the infected character 2 or 3 times with normal attacks, which cured them of the nasty status effect xD

Confuse is by far my most hated of all status ailments! I can't stand it when my whole party gets confused and all I can do is watch as they kill each other, when this happens it is one of the few times in gaming where I yell FOR FUCKS SAKE, ditch my controller (luckily it is usually aimed at my bed) and punch the wall.

What's even worse with confuse is that the stronger your party is, the more effective it is!

The best thing (in FFX) is to equip armour with Confuse Ward or Confuseproof and make sure that characters with this protection are always in the party initially.

I find Bad Breath quite amusing, actually. Confuse is not really the problem with Bad Breath. It's the fact that it's combined with darkness, berserk and poison. The characters end up trying to attack each other, consistently missing, and losing some of their health afterwards because of the poison. It surely must be among the top in a list of "worst ways to die".

The only time I can think of that I had a problem with confuse was in VIII when trying to kill the marlboros!!!! I think its quite amusing otherwise.

I bloody hate this status Effect, whenever it gets cast one you. You always attack your team, you cast it on an opponent and they still bloody attack you it's like GRRRRRR STOP TOUCHING ME!!!!!!!!! I KILL YOU
